Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Kalibrieren eines Profiles od.dgl. Körpers -- insbesondere eines auf dem Wege des Strangpressens aus einem Leichtmetallbarren hergestellten Hohlprofils -- wird das Profil in ein Werkzeuggehäuse (16) eines Formwerkzeuges (10) zwischen die Gehäuseinnenfläche (17) und den zu dieser abstandsveränderlich ausgebildeten Formenteile (18, 18a) eingelegt sowie durch letztere zur Durchführung eines mechanischen Kalibriervorganges an jene Gehäuseinnenflache (17) gepresst. Die in axialer Richtung ortsfesten Formenteile (18, 18a) werden durch zumindest einen axial bewegten Dorn (26) radial verschoben, wobei der Abstand (e) zwischen den auf dem Dorn (26) gleitenden Formenteilen (18, 18a) sowie der Gehäuseinnenfläche (17) bzw. der Profilinnenfläche vermindert wird. Dieses Verfahren kann auch bei einem Profil angewendet werden, wenn dieses sich nicht in einem Werkzeuggehäuse (16) befindet.

In a method for calibrating a profile or the like. Body - in particular a hollow profile produced by extrusion from a light metal ingot - the profile is placed in a tool housing (16) of a molding tool (10) between the housing inner surface (17) and the molded parts (18, 18 a ) which are variable with respect to this inserted and pressed by the latter to carry out a mechanical calibration process on that housing inner surface (17). The mold parts (18, 18 a ), which are stationary in the axial direction, are radially displaced by at least one axially moved mandrel (26), the distance (e) between the mold parts (18, 18 a ) sliding on the mandrel (26) and the inner surface of the housing (17) or the profile inner surface is reduced. This method can also be used for a profile if it is not in a tool housing (16).
