- the here shown embodiment form of the watch includes four control buttons: two buttons 211 and two buttons 311, these last ones being positioned within the ellipsoidal windows 401.
- buttons 211 are accessible in the usual way to the user's control
- the buttons 311 are, on the contrary, positioned so to prove to be relatively more protected from eventual accidental impacts. The result is that the functions controlled through said protected buttons 311 prove to be not subjected to fortuitous starting up, thus making the watch more efficient in its whole.
- the protection doesn't anyway make difficult the accessibility to said buttons, since the ellipsoidal windows 401, where they are housed in, are shaped so to allow the user's digiting.
- the dial of the watch has features which improve the functioning as regards to displaying; in particular, the pointers crown 111 allows a better visual time monitoring, taking into account the sequential lighting of said pointers as the minutes go by; the same can be said for the sector indicators 121 and 141.

Abstract
Description
- The present invention refers to a wristwatch, and in particular to a waterproof watch.
- In several wristwatches are present two or more buttons radially projecting from the case, allowing the control of different functions of the watch itself; in the case, then, of waterproof watches the different functions can have a quite remarkable importance for the success of the diving.
- Nevertheless it happens often that the buttons are positioned in such way that the accidental impact against some environment object, such as for instance rocks or the like, or even the moving of the diver himself can start up time scansion procedures, such as for instance the diving period timing, in a quite undesired way.
- Aim of the present invention is to provide for a wristwatch, and in particular a waterproof watch, where at least one of the buttons controlling the different functions is accessible to the user's control, in this case a diver, and at the same time protected from impacts and other starting up accidental causes.
- Object of the present invention is, then, a wristwatch, in particular waterproof, including a case provided with a dial and one or more control buttons radially projecting from said case, and a strap connected to said case in connection with two diametrically opposed parts of the same characterized in that at least one of said watch control buttons are positioned in connection with an housing obtained between said strap and said case, so to be accessible by the user and at the same time protected from accidental impacts.
- Further advantages and features of the watch according to the present invention will be cleared from the following detailed description of an embodiment form of the same, drawn up as a not limitative description, with reference to the enclosed drawings, where:
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the watch according to the present invention; and
- Figure 2 is a front elevation view of the watch shown in figure 1.
-
- In figure 1 is shown a watch according to the present invention; the numeral 1 indicates the case of said watch. The case 1 is provided with a
dial 101, and is connected to thestrap 2 through the coupling of the case itself to theedges 112 of said strap. The strap edges form aloop 102, forming, with agroove 301 obtained in the case 1 of the watch, anellipsoidal window 401; within thegroove 301 is housed acontrol button 311 radially projecting from the case 1 along a direction perpendicular to the one of thestrap 2 axis. Within agroove 201 analogous to the previously described one is housed anothercontrol button 211, projecting from the case 1 along a direction parallel to thestrap 2 axis. - In figure 2 the watch according to the invention is shown in front elevation; to same parts correspond same numerals. In the figure it is highlighted in detail the distribution of the information displaying elements on the dial 101: it can be noticed in the central part the numerical displayers 131, while around the dial periphery is arranged a crown of pointers 111, and above circle arc sectors are positioned the
indicators - The here shown embodiment form of the watch includes four control buttons: two
buttons 211 and twobuttons 311, these last ones being positioned within theellipsoidal windows 401. - The functioning of the watch according to the present invention will be cleared from what follows. As emerging from the figures, while the
buttons 211 are accessible in the usual way to the user's control, thebuttons 311 are, on the contrary, positioned so to prove to be relatively more protected from eventual accidental impacts. The result is that the functions controlled through said protectedbuttons 311 prove to be not subjected to fortuitous starting up, thus making the watch more efficient in its whole. - The protection doesn't anyway make difficult the accessibility to said buttons, since the
ellipsoidal windows 401, where they are housed in, are shaped so to allow the user's digiting. - Moreover, the dial of the watch has features which improve the functioning as regards to displaying; in particular, the pointers crown 111 allows a better visual time monitoring, taking into account the sequential lighting of said pointers as the minutes go by; the same can be said for the
sector indicators
Claims (4)
- A wristwatch, in particular waterproof, including a case (1) provided with a dial (101) and one or more control buttons (211, 311) radially projecting from said case (1), and a strap (2) connected to said case (1) in connection with two diametrically opposed parts of the same, characterized in that at least one (311) of said control buttons of said watch is positioned in connection with an housing (401) obtained between said strap (2) and said case (1), so to be accessible by the user and at the same time protected from accidental impacts.
- A watch according to claim 1, where said housing is a substantially ellipsoidal window (401) formed from loop (102) obtained in said strap and from a groove (301) obtained in said watch case (1), said button (311) being positioned in said groove (301).
- A watch according to claim 1 or 2, where said case is provided with at least two control buttons (211, 311).
- A watch according to any preceding claim, where said dial is provided with a plurality of displaying elements for its different functions, including an pointers crown (111) arranged next to the peripheral border of said dial (101) and at least an indicator (121, 141), substantially circle arc shaped, arranged next to said pointers crown (111).
