Abstract

The fuel injection device (1) has a valve connecting the working space of a high pressure pump to a low pressure source during the suction stroke and to a high pressure reservoir during the compression stroke. The valve has 2 coaxial valve elements provided by a blocking piston (15) and a non-return piston (14), the blocking piston acting axially on the non-return piston during the compression stroke.
