Description
The present invention relates to machines for processing documents such as mail. It concerns more precisely but not exclusively the document separators of the enveloping machines.
Mail handling services use machines automatic documents for enveloping. Man's art imagined very early on to create autonomous machines allowing insert standard documents. We hear by standard documents documents of fine thicknesses between 0.05 mm and 0.5 mm. These machines therefore make it possible to process a very large part of market applications. Documents loaded in stack are brought one by one into the machine to be folded and then put in an envelope. To avoid sending multiple documents in one envelope, the machines are equipped with separators. Given the small variation thickness of so-called standard documents, these separators of these machines are fixed.
The need to process much thicker documents such as brochures appeared later and the machines for processing such documents are few on the market. In these machines, the thicknesses to be treated are very variable and therefore, these machines are fitted with manually adjustable dividers. This presents a major constraint for the operator since the latter must change the separation settings each time the thickness of document.
The object of the present invention is to avoid this drawback and to offer a more user-friendly processing machine.
Particularly advantageously, the adjustment means are associated with memory means memorizing the opening of the passage automatically adjusted so that the position values are saved in each program specific to each application and this so transparent to the operator.
In a preferred embodiment, the separation members are constituted by a drive device and a separator and advantageously the adjustment means act on the position of the separator.
Preferably, the drive means and / or the device drive consist of a drive roller or a mat.
The invention applies equally well to a processing machine with top-down or bottom-down.

The first exemplary embodiment presents a mode of implementation work of the invention when the documents loaded are unstacked by the above.
Figure 3 shows the next step. The distance between the
Figure 4 shows the final step.
The second exemplary embodiment presents a mode of implementation work of the invention when the documents loaded are unstacked by the below.
flèche 30 via l'actionneur 31.Figure 6 shows the next step. The
documents 1.Figure 7 shows the next step. The distance between the
Figure 8 shows the final step. When the rear edge of the
In the two embodiments above, when unstacking the first document, the central unit managing the mechanism stores the position of the separator. This data is saved with other parameters specific to the application being processed. When the user processes the same application, it will only need to recall the saved application and will thus avoid the cycle allowing to determine the ideal position of the separator since the latter will automatically set to the value position saved.
It is obvious that simplified versions of the invention can be considered. Thus, the adjustment of the separator could be done semi-automatically. The operator could adjust the position of the separator by actuating one or more keys on the keyboard for mounting or to lower said separator.
