Abstract
Ein Plasmabrenner weist ein röhrenförmiges Düsenelement (34) mit einer Stirnwand (102) und einer in dem Düsenelement (34) angeordneten Elektrode (48) auf, die eine der Stirnwand (102) gegen überliegende Stirnfläche (52) aufweist. Die Stirnfläche (52) und die Stirnwand (102) begrenzen einen Plasmagasraum (150) in dessen einer Stirnwand (102) eine sich in Achsrichtung der Düse verlaufende Auslaßöffnung (104) angeordnet ist. Das Düsenelement ist an seiner Außenfläche in besonderer Weise ausgestaltet, um einen etwa konischen Schutzgasmantel beim Betrieb des Brenners um die Schweißbrennerspitze zu erzeugen und somit zusammen mit dem Düsenmontagemittel für eine verbesserte Anordnung zum Kühlen der Schweißbrennerspitze und zum Erzeugen eines Schutzgasmantels um den Plasmastrahl herum zu sorgen.
