Abstract

The switch rail (3) has a number of contact elements (1,2) arranged in series along the length of the switch rail, with contact points (4) at their facing ends held in contact with one another, the connection between the contact points broken by deformation of the switch rail upon application of an applied external force. The spring bias holding the contact points together is provided by a flat elastic rubber band (8).

Description

The invention relates to a safety strip as a safety edge according to the preamble of the main claim.

Eine gattungsbildende Schaltleiste wird z. B. in der EP 0 234 523 A2 beschrieben.A generic safety edge is z. B. in the EP 0 234 523 A2 described.

Such a known switching strip consists essentially of "contact elements", which usually consist of plastic and having a "contact line", wherein the contact line ends at each contact element "contact points", whereby the individual contact elements with each other come into contact with each other energetically. These contact elements with their contact lines and contact points are under pretension, which is achieved either by an elastic tube or by an expander cord or by wire-spring arrangements.

In the generic device, the contact elements each consist of a contact roller, so they are cylindrical, wherein the contact rollers at the front ends, the contact points creatively abut each other. Inside the contact rollers an expander cord is arranged, which force the individual contact rollers with their contact points in the axial direction to each other. Between the individual contact rollers Isolierkeilringe are arranged, which are provided with radially aligned to the Isolierringachse, projecting into the interior of the insulating wedge surfaces between the individual contact rollers. The manufacturing cost of such a switching strip is relatively expensive. Thus, it has been found to be disadvantageous that the bias depends on the dexterity and the conscientiousness of the operator knotting the expander cords at the ends. So it was not guaranteed a constant bias. The knot at the end of the expander cords is extremely time consuming and requires dexterity and can not be mechanized.

Die Montage der Schaltleiste erfordert mehrere Arbeitsgänge. The installation of the safety edge requires several operations.

In addition, when working with Expanderschnüren switching strips has the disadvantage that the expander cords have a thickness of 2 - 3 mm, so that therefore the actual contact element must be designed relatively high construction. Such a disadvantage occurs especially when the safety edge is to be used for so-called safety mats, as for example in the EP 421 048 B1 are described.

EP 0 843 065 A1 shows all the features of the preamble of claim 1 and discloses a generic switch bar, in which the bias of the contact elements is generated by individual pieces of hose.

The invention has for its object to provide a switching strip that can be very flat construction fancy and in which a constant bias is ensured by appropriate design of the elastic biasing component.

This problem underlying the invention is achieved by the teaching of the main claim.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind in den Unteransprüchen erläutert.Advantageous embodiments are explained in the subclaims.

In other words, it is proposed that the usual Expander cord in the prior art is replaced by an elastic flat band, which therefore no longer has the height necessarily given at Expanderschnüren.

Such elastic flat bands may be formed as a rubber band or as a double fabric with elastofibres or by an elastic strand formed from a plurality of over and under crossing threads.

In these flat strips can be incorporated in the production receiving holes, which have a constant distance and are used to hold fasteners.

The actual switching strip consists of a contact-receiving element and a clamping plate, wherein fastening elements are provided either on the clamping plate or on the contact-receiving element and are provided on the cooperating counter-element retaining recesses. These fastening elements can engage through the openings provided in the flat strip and lock the two interacting components, namely the contact receiving element with the clamping plate while fixing the elastic flat strip.

In this case, the procedure is such that the hole spacing in the flat strip is smaller than the spacing of the fastening elements provided on the contact-receiving elements or the clamping plate, so that the flat strip is stretched during assembly and thus the necessary prestressing is produced.

The interaction of the fastener with the retaining recess can be done push-button-like or the fastener is mushroom-shaped and can be clipped into the retaining recess.

But it can also be proceeded so that the contact-receiving element or the clamping plate has a protruding fastening element which cooperates with a counter-receptacle in the other component by clamping, d. H. the flat band is pretensioned. Thereafter, contact receiving element and clamping plate are pressed together, whereby the ribbon is clamped positively in the corresponding recess either the contact receiving element or the clamping plate. A corresponding bias of the ribbon is possible via appropriate force measurement.

In summary, it should be noted that on the one hand a flat construction design is created by the proposal according to the invention, on the other hand, a simpler installation than previously possible. Furthermore, it is achieved that always a constant bias is guaranteed and the node at the end of the expander cords is avoided. The assembly of the safety edge and the generation of the bias is done in one operation.

a modified embodiment.

In Fig. 1 are designated by 1 and 2, two contact elements consisting of a contact line 5 and each contact points 4 and form a safety edge 3 in the assembly. The contact elements 1 or 2 consist of a contact-receiving element 10 and a clamping plate 6, wherein in the in Fig. 3 illustrated embodiment, the contact receiving element 10 has a fastening element 11 and the clamping plate 6 has a holding recess 14. The fastener 11 is formed like a mushroom and can - as this is particularly clear Fig. 1 shows - pass through the retaining recess 14 and is verclipt with the interposition of an elastic ribbon 8 with the holding recess 14.

The elastic bias, with which the contact lines 5 rest against each other at their contact points 4, is achieved by an elastic ribbon 8. At the in Fig. 2 shown flat band 8 are provided in this receiving holes 9, which have a distance a from each other. In Fig. 1 is shown that the distance of the fastening elements 11 from each other has a distance b , wherein the distance a is smaller than the distance b , so that during assembly automatically by the fact that the fasteners 11 pass through the receiving holes 9 of the flat strip 8, the ribbon set under bias is and thus the contact elements 1 and 2 are forced at their contact points 4 under bias to each other.

In the embodiment according to Fig. 4 10 projections are provided in the contact receiving element, which form the fastening elements 12, wherein in the clamping plate 6 corresponding recesses are provided which provide a clamping receptacle 15 in connection with the fastening element 12 and the ribbon 8. In this embodiment, so the fasteners 12 do not pass through the ribbon 8, but the ribbon 8 is biased and then the contact receiving element 10 and the clamping plate. 6 pressed together. As a result, the flat strip is clamped positively in the clamp receptacle 15, so that no hole in the elastic ribbon 8 must be provided. The required bias of the flat strip 8 is made possible by a force measuring device.

The elastic ribbon 8 may be formed as a rubber band, in which corresponding openings 9 are provided or the elastic ribbon 8 is designed as a double fabric worked band with elasto fibers, whereby an elastic strand can be used, which consists of one or more über-. and crossing threads is formed. Such strands are known in the textile industry including the there already provided holes and are used for example as a holding band in the underwear.

While in the preceding figure description, the fastening elements 11 and 12 are arranged on the contact receiving elements 10, it is of course also possible to reverse the procedure and to provide the fasteners 11 and 12 on the clamping plate 6. The contact line 5 is formed as a metal strip, the front side of the contact receiving elements 10 engages and forms the contact points 4 here. Both the contact-receiving elements 10 as well as the clamping plates 6 are usually made of plastic. When assembling the actual switching strip 3, a much simplified installation effort is achieved compared to the state of the art facilities and it is ensured a constant bias, which is independent of the manual skill of the safety edge 3 assembling person. A knotting or otherwise setting the elastic ribbon 8 is no longer necessary and the assembly of the switching strip and the generation of the bias done in one operation.

Since the hole spacing a of the flat strip 8 is smaller than the distance b between the fastening elements 11 and 12 of the contact receiving elements 10, the flat strip 8 is stretched during assembly and thus produces a fixed, constant bias.
