Definitions
- the present invention relates to a Can opener according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a can opener is known from US-A-4,782,594.
- the applicant has been producing and selling a lot for years successful can opener for opening conventional cans.
- the can lid is along its Cut through the inner edge and from the side wall of the can Cut. Because the separated part of the lid has sharp edges and can lead to injuries in recent years Years ago, so-called safety can openers were introduced, which cut through the can lid along its outer edge.
- the connection between the can wall and the lid is made solved without the lid to be removed or the edge of the can sharp edges remain. Since the cutting wheel is not in One comes into contact with the contents of the can ensures that the cutting mechanism of the opener is not dirty and on the other hand, the contents of the can Contamination protected by the cutting mechanism.
- Such safety can openers are known for example from US-A-4'782'594 and DE-U-298'02'030. Both pliers models and single-arm models are known for both cutting principles.
- the packaging industry offers cans in which the lid can be detached from the can by means of a pull or tear ring along a peripheral predetermined breaking line.
- tear-open boxes are more complex to manufacture and therefore more expensive than conventional boxes.
- the predetermined breaking lines require narrow manufacturing tolerances and are therefore more susceptible to malfunctions. If, for example, the material thickness along the predetermined breaking line is too high, opening is only possible using considerable traction. Older or weak people in particular can find it difficult to open such a can.
- US-A-5'018'409 is an opener for tear-open cans known. At the front end of this opener is on a top a notch is attached that has a nose for hanging the Tear ring defined. The back of the flat Oeffners is parabolic in shape and narrower Handle over. To open a tear-open can Ring attached to the edge of the lid folded up while doing so the predetermined breaking line immediately before the ring in known Way broken. Now the ring is in the notch on Front end of the opener hooked in and by pressing on the Handle section using the lever arm of the can lid detached from the can. The opener is with his unrolled parabolic back over the can lid and at the same time the lid area, which is the tear ring carries, raised and pulled up and back.
- the Opener for example, punched out of a piece of sheet metal can is relatively narrow. The contact surface of the open back on the can lid is therefore small and when opening a can it can very easily tilt the Come openers.
- Another opener for tear-open cans is from the US-Des. 267,925 known. This opener is also from a flat Sheet metal piece made. It has a hook-shaped end Opening the tear-open boxes as well as an opposite end to open bottles with bottle caps. The turn very narrow openers can also be easily used tilt.
- the object of the present invention is to save space To provide can openers of it enables all commercially available cans to be safe and convenient to open and not the disadvantages mentioned above having.
- the can opener according to the invention not only allows both Common types of can packaging with only one single device to open, but its ergonomic and Functionally advantageous design offers a use Maximum comfort and security.
- the Openers according to the invention can be stowed in a very space-saving manner.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 A first embodiment is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 shown, here also the cutting mechanism 20th is shown, while in Figures 3 to 5 a second Embodiment is shown, here the cutting mechanism has been omitted.
- the opener as a whole is designated by the reference number 1.
- the most important element is a handle-shaped one Body 10.
- the handle-shaped body 10 has two parallel, flat side surfaces 11, as seen in the top view in the figure 2 can be seen.
- the handle-shaped body 10 has an upper, arched back surface 12 and one of these opposite curly lower surface 13.
- By the curly lower surface 13 forms a head at one end 15, in which the cutting mechanism 20 is housed and on other end a thickened handle end 16 in which the pull hook 30 is at least partially recorded.
- Between the head 15 and the thickened handle end 16 forms one Grip recess 14 in the curved lower surface 13.
- In thickened handle end 16 is centered and parallel to the two Side surfaces 11 embedded a receiving groove 17.
- This Recording groove 17 begins at the thickened handle end 16 and runs towards the recessed grip 14 inclined into the curly Lower surface 13. Through the receiving groove 17 form in thickened handle end 16 two side cheeks, which by a Swivel axis bearings 18 are interspersed.
- the thickened head 15 contains the a total of 20 cutting mechanism.
- This consists of a drive wheel 21 which rotatably on a Driving axis 26 sits.
- the driving axis is perpendicular to the plan side surfaces 11 and penetrates the handle-shaped Body 10 completely.
- End of the drive shaft 26 is a twist grip 22 attached by means of which the drive wheel 21 can be actuated. It does not run perpendicular to the driving axis 26 here Shown axis of the cutting wheel 23.
- the cutting wheel 23 is outside during the actuation of the cutting mechanism on the weld bead of the can or can to be opened and sever it.
- a two-point support sheet 24 is located thereby on the top edge of the can bead.
- the cutting wheel 23 closes one with the two-point support sheet 24 Angle up to an upward parting force produce.
- Such cutting mechanisms are from the beginning known documents mentioned in detail.
- the pull hook 30 is about a pivot axis 31, which the already mentioned pivot axis bearing 18th interspersed to pivot through a certain angle.
- the pull hook 30 In the pivoted State is the pull hook 30 with his Towing hook inner edge 35 on the groove bottom 17 '.
- In the swung out Condition comes on the back, near the swivel axis End at the groove bottom 17 'to the system, whereby the Pivoting movement of the pull hook 30 is limited.
- the pull hook 30 is a flat, relatively thick element. It can for example be formed from a steel plate or also from a high-strength, for example glass fiber reinforced Be made of plastic.
- the pull hook 30 will penetrated by a pivot axis 31, which as already mentioned in the pivot axis bearing 18.
- the pull hook 30 has in the embodiment of Figure 1 'a straight Towing hook inner edge 35 and a convex rolling back 33 the pull hook 30 instructs the end remote from the pivot axis the pulling hook inner edge 35 has a hook-in notch 32. In these Hook-in notch 32 comes to the pull ring R when actuated lie.
- the shape of the notch 32 is in itself arbitrary can be designed, but it must be shaped so that the pull ring R not from the hooking notch 32 during operation also slipped. This is, for example, by a rectangular or trapezoidal recess achieved.
- the course of the inner hook edge 35 is not in itself directly relevant. Instead of the straight line shown here The inner edge 35 could also run inward or be arched outside, but this is less is cheap. If the inner edge 35 is curved inwards, the pull hook 30 has a more crescent shape, however, the strength of the draw hook itself is reduced. However, is the inner edge 35 of the pull hook 30 arched outwards, the receiving groove must accordingly be deepened, or the groove bottom 17 'concave to be directed inwards. This then leads accordingly a reduction in the cross section of the handle-shaped body 10 in this area and corresponding to a certain Weakening.
- FIG. 5 shows an optimized shape of the pull hook 30 on its own.
- the hook-in notch 32 is located approximately at the opposite end to the pivot axis bearing 34.
- the pulling hook inner edge 35 is shown here with a slight kink.
- the rolling back 33 is, however, approximately the same as in the previously described solution. In the vicinity of the hook-in notch 32, the rolling back 33 has a radius r 1 , while in the region near the swivel axle bearing 34, the rolling back 33 has a radius r 2 .
- the radius r 1 is smaller than the radius r 2 . This ensures that the tension ring R initially exerts a more upward tension component.
- the opening activity is schematically indicated in dashed lines in FIG.
- the pull ring R lies in the hook-in notch 32 and the tear-open cover D is pulled upwards, while the pull hook 30 rolls on the not yet opened area of the cover of the bushing B or can.
- the pull hook has in the embodiment according to FIG. 5 an inner pulling hook edge running 35 on. Thanks to the kink 36, the swivel axis bearing comes 34 practically above the extended inner hook edge 35 to lie. This enables a clear contact edge 38 form the bottom of a stop recess 19 in handle-shaped body 10 comes to rest. Thanks to this design finds an improved force transmission from the draw hook 30 in the handle-shaped body 10 instead.
- the draw hook 30 tends to be reinforced during the cross section of the handle-shaped body by the one angled here Course of the groove bottom 10 'is hardly reduced and because at the same time the pivot axis 31 practically in the extension of the groove bottom 17 'is arranged, the force on the Contact surface introduced directly into the stiffened area, while practically the solution described above total force over the bearing in the mentioned side cheeks is introduced laterally to the receiving groove.
Abstract
Description
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen
Dosenöffner gemäss dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruches 1.The present invention relates to a
Can opener according to the preamble of
Ein derartiger Dosenöffner ist aus der US-A-4 782 594 bekannt.Such a can opener is known from US-A-4,782,594.
The applicant has been producing and selling a lot for years successful can opener for opening conventional cans. In older systems, the can lid is along its Cut through the inner edge and from the side wall of the can Cut. Because the separated part of the lid has sharp edges and can lead to injuries in recent years Years ago, so-called safety can openers were introduced, which cut through the can lid along its outer edge. The connection between the can wall and the lid is made solved without the lid to be removed or the edge of the can sharp edges remain. Since the cutting wheel is not in One comes into contact with the contents of the can ensures that the cutting mechanism of the opener is not dirty and on the other hand, the contents of the can Contamination protected by the cutting mechanism.
Solche Sicherheitsdosenöffner sind zum Beispiel aus der US-A-4'782'594
und der DE-U-298'02'030 bekannt.
Für beide Schneidprinzipien sind sowohl Zangenmodelle als
auch einarmige Modelle bekannt.Such safety can openers are known for example from US-A-4'782'594 and DE-U-298'02'030.
Both pliers models and single-arm models are known for both cutting principles.
In order to enable the opening of cans even without a can opener, the packaging industry offers cans in which the lid can be detached from the can by means of a pull or tear ring along a peripheral predetermined breaking line. Such tear-open boxes are more complex to manufacture and therefore more expensive than conventional boxes. The predetermined breaking lines require narrow manufacturing tolerances and are therefore more susceptible to malfunctions.
If, for example, the material thickness along the predetermined breaking line is too high, opening is only possible using considerable traction. Older or weak people in particular can find it difficult to open such a can.
The Opener, for example, punched out of a piece of sheet metal can is relatively narrow. The contact surface of the open back on the can lid is therefore small and when opening a can it can very easily tilt the Come openers.
Another opener for tear-open cans is from the US-Des. 267,925 known. This opener is also from a flat Sheet metal piece made. It has a hook-shaped end Opening the tear-open boxes as well as an opposite end to open bottles with bottle caps. The turn very narrow openers can also be easily used tilt.
If the two openers described above can also be used to open larger cans, they must be dimensioned accordingly, which in turn makes them unwieldy and bulky.
Conventional cans cannot be opened with both openers.
The object of the present invention is to save space To provide can openers of it enables all commercially available cans to be safe and convenient to open and not the disadvantages mentioned above having.
These tasks are solved by a can opener according to the features of
Further design variants result from the description and the dependent claims.
In the drawing, two embodiments of the Presented subject matter, which is essentially through the design of the pulling hook and with it differentiate related adjustments. For functionally the same Elements are consequently used with the same reference numbers Service. A first embodiment is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 shown, here also the cutting mechanism 20th is shown, while in Figures 3 to 5 a second Embodiment is shown, here the cutting mechanism has been omitted.
30 mindestens teilweise Aufnahme findet.
The opener as a whole is designated by the
erzeugen. Solche Schneidmechanismen sind aus den eingangs
erwähnten Dokumenten im Detail bekannt. As already mentioned, the thickened
In der erwähnten Aufnahmenut 17 des griffförmigen Körpers 10
findet wie bereits erwähnt ein schwenkbarer Zughaken 30
teilweise Aufnahme. Der Zughaken 30 ist um eine Schwenkachse
31, welche das bereits erwähnte Schwenkachsenlager 18
durchsetzt, um einen bestimmten Winkel schwenkbar. Im eingeschwenkten
Zustand liegt der Zughaken 30 mit seiner
Zughakeninnenkante 35 auf den Nutenboden 17' an. Im ausgeschwenkten
Zustand kommt das rückseitige, schwenkachsnahe
Ende am Nutenboden 17' zur Anlage, wodurch die
Schwenkbewegung des Zughakens 30 begrenzt wird.In the mentioned receiving
An
hinausrutscht. Dies wird beispielsweise durch eine etwa
rechteckige oder trapezförmige Ausnehmung erreicht.The
The course of the
Büchse B beziehungsweise Dose abrollt.FIG. 5 shows an optimized shape of the
As already mentioned, the pull hook has in the embodiment
according to FIG. 5 an inner pulling hook edge running

Auflagebogen 24 ersichtlich. In Figures 3 and 4, the previously described was

- A can opener according to claim 1, characterised in that the grip-like body (10) comprises a thickened end (16) lying opposite the head (15), so that a grip trough (14) is formed between the head and the thickened end (16).
- A can opener according to claim 1, characterised in that the pull hook (30) has a roughly crescent shape, with an inner edge (35) and a convexly running rolling back (33), wherein the radius of curvature (r1, r2) increases from the region near the attachment notch to the region near the pivot pin (31).
- A can opener according to claim 4, characterised in that an inner edge (35) of the pull hook (30) runs in a broken line from which by way of a pivot arc (37) the inner edge (35) merges into a contact edge (38) which in the condition of use abuts an abutment recess (19) on the grip-like body (10).
- A can opener according to claim 2, characterised in that the pull hook (30) in the non-used condition partly projects out of the receiving groove (17).
- A can opener according to clam 5, characterise in that the receiving groove base (17') runs according to the shape of the inner edge (35), running with an angular bend, of the pull hook (30), so that the imagined extension of the groove base (17') runs through the centre of the pivot pin bearing (18).
- A can opener according to claim 2, characterised in that the receiving groove (17) in the end region at the pivot pin bearing (18) merges into an abutment recess (19).
- A can opener according to claim 2, characterised in that the grip-like body (10) comprises two parallel plane side surfaces (11) and a receiving groove is formed centrally and parallel to the side surfaces (11) in the body (10).
