Abstract

A gas generator (D) capable of controlling the expansion/deployment of an air bag and improving reliability in the controlling, wherein gas generating agents (7) in respective combustion chambers (3, 4) are respectively burned by two electric ignition units (8, 9) that use electrothermal bridge wires (24) to ignite igniters (26), the bridge wires (24) having resistances different from one another.
