Abstract

A Transceiver system for portable use has adjustable means for carrying on the chest and/or the ear of the user. The system also has means for moving some components for easy operation by the user.

Description

This invention- relates to perεonal portable transceiver system especially for persons needing handβ free operation due to driving, oric, walking, a nd' carrying ings etc.
Hnving some health problems diu-e to air pollution etc., thie inv-entor has tøeα experiaiieiifting. for years na ime portable air purifiers and other portable devices, By- dOing so, ealBta3βiua[lji developed special means for comfortable carrying- of heavy combinatio s on; user1 s chest and for easy operation of such* combinations at various amgjLeβ and is ances required) "toy different situations of everyday life. Transceivers, mobile phones and PCs on tire market can be put i.πu "brief cases, bags , on belts and in pockets , but. tine inrrentor found that no sucto apparatus on the market offered* satisfactory adjustability regarding- positioning1 βeaπβ .
To meet the need for hands free traoβceiτerβ or mobile phones, there are some devices available. Hbτrev?er, most, have &e common die ad-vantage that, wires and com-poaβnts obstruct operators movemen'ts and are too quickly orm. A loudspeaker on* the dashboard of a car is too often subdued by noicy traffic etc.
Not yet ready for sale on the market is the Swedish soc-alled "blue tooth"' T28*- o id Ericssoro πtϋ ile phone. According*© la-si brochυιr«B in March 2000, it consists of a mobile phonie to be put. in» a user's pocket- or belt and' a transceiver on tue user's βgr aing, no wires between the two components. I is a step forward, but. problems arise when userβ for instance are exercising- or doing, work requάriaic igo ous body movements. The component, to be put om the -user's ear is likely to all off because it cannot be tightened) satisfactorily to the ear. "T2δ World" onlyr has a flexible faβterain-E d'evice for user's ear. A microphone arrangement; one. the user's cheek cannot be folded haclfc on* thie ear and1 will consequently be too for all day use. It also feels somewhat uncomfortable to have components in pockets or on a belt. Especially when sittiΛ-ff down often or m vi-α^. around in crowde placea and n rrow rooas there is a risk of loosing*; or daamginβ the apparatus . According to the present; inwemtioni, there le provided personal portable transceiver system comprising;
A unit arranged to contain a wireless transmitter, a wireless re ceϊveiV-a ..key-board , s display , am antenna , a microphone , a listening device/loudspeaker, c aracterized in that Said system isr havia-f, special - earryinft _na&fiβt a& 3 itø tattle- for* be± *κ positioned entirely aia -firml on -Wf middle of the chest of the user, respectively on the- ear of the erj optionally on both the chest and on the ear at the same time when the ear bow is used only as a receiver- off sound from' the ch-est- apparatus , said system thereby/- facilitating; hB.niθ- e e operation whem needled, said system also characterized by .savin© means or moving somte components like keyboard , display , crophDnies etc . t a more protruding- and suitable angle , distaτiic-e and stable position for* easy- operation by the user . Optionally also arranged to contain a portable , adjustable air- conditioner, a flashlight, a regular radio , things for- everyday use-, remtΦ.6 conrOrol of other tilings' etc. The transceiver on the chest; of the user may also be combined with things like a small PC , TV, a magnifying glass for display enlargement , a transmitter of sound to the user ' s ear to avoid wires , a folding1 small desk, tray , remote control for a larger PC , larger TV , heating, limits , ventilation , robots etc . To facilitate hands-free use , the above mentioned components may be activated by user' s voice or by; touching* symbols on the display of the apparatus . A good portable TV picture depejadte very much on where tine portable TV is posit! oned . A pile of *A books under the TV might, solve the problem, but are not always* available . The positioning, mechanisms facilitates hands free βe of the small portable TV . almost; β.*veryw3aere . A suitable , stable position for satisfying picture quality/ is usually quickly reaόhed.
To meet, user ' s needs and situations of everyday life , the system- described here have a set; of inter changeable components. Consequently, this system preferably includes : A . A transceiver on the middle of the user' s chest Hm iiae adjustable means for- carrying., operation and accessories and a receiver on user ' s ear, which by adjustable meβns may be tightened for1 a stable and com or a-ble use on one oar both: of uRer' s ears . Ε\ For occasional light weight; use im special situations like repair work under a car- or when being, in the bath.* room etc . : A complete li htweig : transceiver or mobile phone , which- by- djustable means may be tightened for a stable and comfortable use oiu uβsr' β ear.
C . When driving*: a car, some might, prefer a complete transceiver only positioned on user' s cteest, h ing a loudspeaker and microphorue and adjustable mean© for carrying- operation and acce3Sorleβ ,
