Definitions

  • Heat detectors respond to rising ambient temperatures. Photoelectric detectors are based on light scattering or light obscuration. Ionization detectors incorporate a radioactive source which ionizes the air in the vicinity of an electrode. Ions generated attached to airborne smoke aerosols which in turn reduces the ionization current. This reduction triggers an alarm at a predetermined threshold.

Abstract

On décrit un détecteur de fumée photoélectrique, qui comprend un émetteur d'énergie rayonnante à longueur d'onde courte (14). L'émetteur, une diode DEL ou laser, émet des fréquences de l'ordre de 430 à 450 nanomètres. Il peut également détecter des feux couvants à combustion lente. Un circuit de commande et un dispositif de sortie audible produisent une alarme sonore locale lorsqu'ils détectent un feu.
