Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft einen Munitionsartikel gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.
  • Ein solcher Artikel ist aus der WO 99/02938 A bekannt.
  • Aus der GB 2 187 660 A ist eine Dipolantenne bekannt. Diese ist Jedoch quer zur Projektilachse orientiert.
  • Aus der WO 99/02938 A2 ist eine Fallbombe mit im Zentrum ihres Hecks angeordneter, sandwich- oder patchartiger Satellitenantenne bekannt. Während der Fallbewegung ins Zielgebiet hält deren kugelförmige Antennencharakteristik Kontakt zu über dem Horizont stehenden Navigationssatelliten, um durch Endphasensteuerung, nämlich mittels Abgieichs zwischen dem koordinatenmäßig vorgegebenen Zielpunkt und der geodätischen Istposition des Munitionsartikels, die Treffergenauigkeit zu erhöhen.
  • Eine solche Antennenkonfiguration ist für Munitionsartikel in Form etwa von Artilleriegeschossen jedoch unzweckmäßig. Denn die von der Heckantenne her etwa symmetrisch zur Projektil-Längsachse nach rückwärts orientierte Antennen-Richtcharakteristik wäre während des größten Teils des gestreckten ballistischen Fluges etwa auf den Horizont, anfangs sogar darunter, und nach dem Apogäum nur geringfügig darüber gerichtet. Dadurch ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, mehrere Navigationssatelliten gleichzeitig für eine rasche und präzise Bahnpunktbestimmung zur Bahnkorrektur hinreichend störungsfrei empfangen zu können, eher gering. Auch der Einbau einer solchen Patch-Antenne in die Spitze des Projektils wäre unbefriedigend, weil deren dann koaxial voraus orientierte Kugelcharakteristik nur in der allerersten Phase der ballistischen Flugbahn deutlich über den Horizont gerichtet wäre, um mehrere Satelliten in günstiger Konstellation erfassen zu können; während die Spitze nach Apogäumsdurchgang sogar zum Untergrund hin ... gerichtet ist und mit einer solchen Antenne dann allenfalls die sehr störbehafteten Bodenreflexe der Signale von Navigationssatelliten aufgenommen werden könnten, deren Verarbeitung wenn überhaupt nur über erheblichen Signalverarbeitungsaufwand hinreichend rasch zu brauchbaren Navigationsinformationen führt.
  • Des weiteren stellt sich bei einem Munitionsartikel in Form einer Artilleriemunition angesichts der in der Praxis nicht ideal kugelförmigen Antennencharakteristik das Problem der Stabilisierungsrotation. Denn der beim Abschuß aus einem gezogenen Waffenrohr auftretende Drall hat bei einer im Querschnitt nicht kreisförmigen Antennencharakteristik zur Folge, daß die empfangenen Satellitensignale rotationsabhängig moduliert sind, was die Auswertung der - zur Positionsbestimmung an sich phasenstarr miteinander zu vergleichenden - Signale von mehreren Satelliten unmittelbar nacheinander stark beeinträchtigt.
  • In Erkenntnis dieser Gegebenheiten liegt vorliegender Erfindung deshalb die technische Problemstellung zugrunde, einen nach Art eines Artillerieprojektiles längs einer im wesentlichen horizontal gestreckten Flugbahn verbrachten Munitionsartikel mit einer Antenne auszustatten, die eine günstige Richtcharakteristik für den Empfang von Satelliten-Navigationsinformationen aufweist.
  • Diese Aufgabe ist erfindungsgemäß durch die im Hauptanspruch angegebenen wesentlichen Merkmale gelöst. Danach ist in der Zünderspitze eines Projektils ein in Flugrichtung weisender Dipol angebracht, der von einer ballistischen Haube schützend umgeben ist. Die Orientierung der freistehenden Dipolachse in Flugrichtung gewährleistet eine omnidirektionale Richtcharakteristik mit vernachlässigbarer Gewinnvariation über den durch den Drall des Projektils gegebenen Drehwinkel. Dadurch, daß die Dipol-Längsachse konzentrisch mit der Projektillängsachse zusammenfällt, wird erreicht, daß das empfangene Signal nicht rotationsabhängig moduliert ist. Der bevorzugte Arbeitsbereich der linear polarisierten Dipolantenne entspricht dem Frequenzbereich von GPS-Frequenzen. Wobei der Arbeitsbereich der Dipolantenne durch die Resonanzfrequenz ausgezeichnet ist, die durch den Nulldurchgang des Imaginärteils der Eingangsimpedanz im Bereich der GPS-Frequenzen festgelegt ist. Um die hierfür erforderliche Dipollänge auf den im Projektil zur Verfügung stehenden Raum zu verkürzen, ist der Dipol mit Dachkapazitäten ausgestattet, welche die effektive Länge des Dipols durch Aufnahme des Stromes verlängern. Die Dachkapazitäten bestehen aus elektrisch leitfähigem Material, wie beispielsweise metallischen Flächen oder Drähten. Diese Leiterstücke sind rotationssymmetrisch um die Dipol-Längsachse angeordnet, wodurch die omnidirektionale Richtcharakteristik gewährleistet wird, und an die einander gegenüberliegenden Dipolenden angeschlossen. Der konventionelle Dipolstrahler hat eine Halbwertsbreite des Richtdiagramms von 78°. Durch die erforderliche Verkürzung des Dipols geht dessen Halbwertsbreite gegen 90°, was der maximal möglichen Halbwertsbreite des als Grenzfall der verkürzten Antenne wirkenden Hertz'schen Dipols entspricht. Wird die -10dB-Breite des Hertz'schen Dipols als Grenzfall gesetzt, ergibt sich eine Raumabdeckung von 142°, womit ein Großteil des Raumbereichs abgedeckt ist. Nicht erfaßt sind schmale Raumbereiche in Flugrichtung und entgegengesetzt zur Flugrichtung. Die Leiterstücke sind am vorderen Ende des Dipols zur Dipolachse hin geneigt, um so in die aerodynamisch geformte ballistische Haube eingepaßt werden zu können. An der Innenseite der vorzugsweise aus Kunststoff bestehenden ballistischen Haube können Ausnehmungen angebracht sein, die Abmessungen und Anordnungen entsprechend der an der Dipolachse befestigten Leiterstücke aufweisen. In diese Ausnehmung sind der Dipol bzw. die Leiterstücke zumindest teilweise formschlüssig eingepaßt.
  • In einer weiterführenden Ausführung ist der Dipol in ein Dielektrikum mit hoher Dielektrizitätskonstante eingelassen, wodurch ebenfalls eine Reduzierung des Dipols auf den im Projektil zur Verfügung stehenden Raum ermöglicht und ein Frequenzbereich entsprechend der GPS-Frequenzen gewährleistet ist.
  • Zusätzliche Weiterbildungen und weitere Merkmale und Vorteile der Erfindung ergeben sich aus den weiteren Ansprüchen und aus nachstehender Beschreibung eines in der Zeichnung unter Beschränkung auf das Wesentliche stark abstrahiert und nicht ganz maßstabsgerecht skizzierten bevorzugten Realisierungsbeispiels zur erfindungsgemäßen Lösung. Diese Lösung hat den Vorteil, in der regelmäßig von einem Artillerieprojektil abnehmbaren Zünder-Spitze realisiert zu werden, also auch nachträglich noch auf ein Standardprojektil appliziert werden zu können, ohne für die Ausbildung der Dipolantenne in die tragende Struktur der Projektilhülle selbst eingreifen zu müssen. Die einzige Figur der Zeichnung zeigt eine in die Zünderspitze eines Projektils eingebaute Dipol-Satellitenantenne.
  • Bei dem in der Zeichnung skizzierten Munitionsartikel handelt es sich um die Spitze 10 einer austauschbaren Zünderspitze 11 eines Artillerieprojektils unter einer ballistischen Haube 12. Nicht näher dargestellt sind mechanische Montagevorrichtungen, Aufschlagsensor und Zündübertrager mit Sicherheitseinrichtungen.
  • Frontseitig in der Spitze10 ist ein freistehender, als Antenne zum Empfang von Satelliten-Navigationsinformationen für die Kurskontrolle des Projektils fungierender Dipol 13 derart angebracht, daß die Dipolachse konzentrisch mit der Projektillängsachse 14 zusammenfällt und so eine omnidirektionale Richtcharakteristik sicherstellt. Der Dipol 13 ist bevorzugt auf den Frequenzbereich von GPS-Frequenzen abgestimmt. Um die aufgrund der gewünschten Frequenzen vorgegebene Abmessung des Dipols 13 zu verkleinern, wird der Dipol 13 mit Dachkapazitäten aus elektrisch leitendem Material versehen. Deren Stromaufnahme bewirkt eine virtuelle Verlängerung des eigentlichen Dipols. Die Dachkapazitäten können beispielsweise aus metallischen Flächen oder Drähten ausgebildet sein, die wenigstens an einem Ende unter einem Winkel zur Dipolachse an den Dipol 13 angeschlossen sind. Dabei können die Winkel zwischen den Leiterstücken 15 und der Dipolachse am unteren und oberen Ende des Dipols 13 sowohl gleich als auch unterschiedlich, wie in der Zeichnung dargestellt, ausgebildet sein. Der Winkel am oberen Ende des Dipols 13 wird bevorzugt so gewählt, daß der Dipol 13 mit den Leiterstücken 15 in die Zünderspitze 11 eingepaßt werden kann. Die einzelnen Leiterstücke 15 werden so am Dipol 13 angebracht, daß sie rotationssymmetrisch um die Projektillängsachse 14 angeordnet sind. Die Leiterstücke 15 können meanderförmig 16 ausgebildet und somit die elektrische Weglänge der kurzen Leiterstücke verlängert sein. Diese bevorzugte Ausführungsform ist in der Zeichnung stellvertretend für alle Leiterstücke 15 beispielhaft an einem Leiterstück 16 dargestellt. Der Dipol 13 ist mit zwei Kontaktstellen 17 ausgestattet, von denen je eine Signalleitung 18 zur signalverarbeitenden Elektronik (nicht dargestellt) führt.
  • Durch die Anordnung mehrerer, als Array zusammengefaßter Dipole 13 kann die Charakteristik der Dipolanordnung beeinflußt und entsprechend den Erfordernissen eingestellt werden.
  • Die ballistische Haube 12 besteht aus elektrisch nicht leitendem Material, beispielsweise Kunststoff. An ihrer Innenseite weist die ballistische Haube 12 Ausnehmungen 19 auf, die in Abmessung und Anordnung den Enden des Dipols 13 bzw. den am Dipol 13 angebrachten Leiterstücken 15 entsprechen. In diese Ausnehmungen 19 werden der Dipol 13 bzw. die Leiterstücke 15 wenigstens teilweise formschlüssig eingepaßt.
  • In einer anderen Ausführungsform wird der Dipol 13 in dielektrisches Material eingefaßt und so, trotz kleinerer Geometrie, der den GPS-Frequenzen entsprechende Frequenzbereich gewährleistet.
  • So ist erfindungsgemäß ein Munitionsartikel, die Zünderspitze 11 des Projektils, mit einer in Flugrichtung weisenden Dipol-Satellitenantenne ausgestattet, die aufgrund ihrer rundum gleichförmigen Charakteristik einen störungsfreien Empfang von Satelliten-Navigationsinformationen auch dann ermöglicht, wenn er nach Art eines Artillerie-Projektiles unter Drall längs einer gestreckten ballistischen Flugbahn verbracht wird. An den konzentrisch zur Projektillängsachse 14 angeordneten Dipol 13 sind rotationssymmetrisch angeordnete Leiterstücke 15 angeschlossen, die paßgenau in Ausnehmungen 19 der ballistischen Haube 12 verbracht sind.

Claims (8)

  1. Munitionsartikel mit Satelliten-Antenne,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß in der Zünderspitze (11) eines Projektils eine freistehende Dipol-Antenne (13) unter einer ballistischen Haube (12) derart angeordnet ist, daß die Dipolachse konzentrisch mit der Projektillängsachse (14) zusammenfällt.
  2. Munitionsartikel nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß der Dipol (13) auf den Frequenzbereich von GPS-Frequenzen abgestimmt ist.
  3. Munitionsartikel nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß der Dipol (13) mit Dachkapazitäten aus elektrisch leitendem Material versehen ist, die in Form von Leiterstücken (15) an wenigstens einem Ende unter einem Winkel zur Dipolachse an den Dipol (13) angeschlossen sind.
  4. Munitionsartikel nach Anspruch 3,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die Leiterstücke (15) rotationssymmetrisch um die Projektillängsachse (14) angeordnet sind.
  5. Munitionsartikel nach Anspruch 4,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß Leiterstücke (15) meanderförmig (16) ausgebildet sind.
  6. Munitionsartikel nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die ballistische Haube (12) an ihrer Innenseite Ausnehmungen (19) aufweist, in die der Dipol (13) wenigstens teilweise formschlüssig eingepaßt ist.
  7. Munitionsartikel nach Anspruch 6,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die ballistische Haube (12) aus elektrisch nichtleitendem Material besteht.
  8. Munitionsartikel nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß der Dipol (13) in dielektrisches Material eingefaßt ist.
