  • Foaming is seen to be an indicator of efficacy and therefore preferred by the user. Any water remaining in the base section 12 of the container 10 after flushing is completed drains out through the drainage port(s) 19. As the block is supported on the baffles 18, this helps to minimise contact with the water whilst it is waiting to drain.
  • the inner container 20 has vertical sides to give a constant cross-section. This is advantageous in that during usage a constant surface area of liquid or gel is exposed which means that the fragrancing diffusion is constant. Furthermore the cleaning action is constant.
  • the present invention has a further advantage in applications including so called "blue" formulations which tint the water in the toilet bowl blue.
  • the containers for these generally include a syphon in the base or side of the container which allow the drainage of flush water during the flush action but have a delaying action to stop the flow of residual water which has been stained blue on contact with the gel or liquid between flushes. This is the water which has been left behind after the main flush and, if allowed to drip or drain between flushes, could cause a blue staining on the toilet bowl.
  • the drainage ports 19 in the outer container 10 are eliminated for blue liquid or gel applications, whilst the drainage ports in the base of the inner container 20 are retained.
  • the container 10 may be opened and the inner container 20 refreshed with a quantity of gel or liquid from a bottle or other appropriate storage means.
  • a small filling nozzle may be affixed to the container lid 11 so that the container may be filled without opening the lid 11.
  • the container 10 may be provided as a single enclosure without a separate lid and base hinged together.
  • the use of a separate inner container advantageously provides a further convenient filling solution in that new pre-filled inner containers 20 with a removable top, say of foil or plastic, can be sold with which users can simply replace old empty containers 20.
  • a new cartridge of gel can be placed in the inner container.
  • the inner container may be supplied in different colours to the external container 10 which may provide an aesthetic contrasting effect.
  • the containers 10, 20 may be manufactured from any suitable waterproof material. Plastics are preferred and more preferably polypropylenes.

Claims (9)

  1. Récipient pour composition de traitement d'eau sous forme de liquide ou de gel destiné à être utilisé dans une cuvette de toilettes comprenant un récipient externe (10) comportant une section inférieure et une section supérieure, ladite section supérieure étant dotée d'une pluralité d'ouvertures pour l'entrée et la sortie d'eau de chasse, et comprenant également un récipient interne (20) comportant une embouchure ouverte, le récipient interne (20) étant positionné au sein du récipient externe (10) de manière que l'embouchure soit dirigée vers les ouvertures, caractérisé en ce que le récipient interne (20) est amovible et renferme une composition de traitement d'eau sous forme de liquide ou de gel, et en ce que le récipient interne comporte des parois latérales verticales, pour obtenir une section transversale horizontale sensiblement constante de manière que, à l'usage, une superficie constante de la composition soit exposée.
  2. Récipient selon la revendication 1, dans lequel deux parties (11, 12) du récipient externe (10) sont reliées l'une à l'autre pour permettre au récipient externe (10) d'être ouvert.
  3. Récipient selon la revendication 2, dans lequel les deux parties (11, 12) comprennent les sections supérieure et inférieure du récipient reliées par une charnière (13).
  4. Récipient selon la revendication 2, dans lequel les deux parties (11, 12) comprennent des sections latérales qui sont reliées l'une à l'autre par une attache ou par encliquetage et sont séparables l'une de l'autre.
  5. Récipient selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes dans lequel la section inférieure de récipient externe (12) est dotée de chicanes (18) pour supporter le récipient interne (20).
  6. Récipient selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes comprenant également au moins un orifice d'évacuation (19) ménagé dans la section inférieure de récipient externe (12).
  7. Récipient selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes comprenant également au moins un orifice d'évacuation ménagé dans une base du récipient interne.
  8. Récipient selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes comprenant également une poignée en forme de crochet (14) pour supporter le récipient sur un rebord d'une cuvette de toilettes.
  9. Récipient selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 8 comprenant également un mécanisme de verrouillage pour fixer les parties de récipient (11, 12) du récipient externe (10) dans une position fermée.
