Description

Depending on the area of application, different materials, colors and textures are used as floor coverings. For particularly stressed floor coverings, for example in public buildings, floor coverings made of an elastomeric material are used, which has a high abrasion resistance and retains its attractive appearance for a long time. The invention is concerned with this type of floor coverings.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

European patent application EP 0 399 959 A1 has disclosed a floor covering of elastomeric material which is provided with convex reliefs. The height of the reliefs is between 0.2 mm and 1.0 mm. They are arranged in groups and provided with reflective surfaces, so that, depending on the view of the floor, the floor is given a different appearance. Although the floor covering itself is monochrome, it receives the desired effect of a different color design through the mirror surfaces. The disadvantage of this type of flooring is that they are difficult to clean and also have a significant rolling resistance. The latter has a detrimental effect especially on airports, railway stations and The like when the passengers pull rolling suitcases or rolling bags on the floor covering.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention has for its object to provide a floor covering which has a high durability, is easy to clean, has the lowest possible rolling resistance and its wear is low. He should also have the best possible look, even if unwanted impressions, for example, by lace heels of women's shoes, are included.

The solution of the problem is achieved in a floor covering of an elastomeric material having a relief-like structured surface according to the invention characterized in that the surface is provided with irregularly distributed recesses, which are elongated shape, and which partially touch and / or cut and a depth of 0.02 mm to 0.2 mm with a width of 0.2 mm to 2.5 mm and a length of 5 mm to 50 mm. Such a floor covering retains the good properties of a flat floor covering, for example, in a very low rolling resistance and good cleaning ability and at the same time has an improved appearance, by optically pleasing in itself and unwanted, small impressions are not obvious. The depth of the recesses is so small that visible dirt deposits can not occur. The chosen shape of the recesses and their arrangement on the surface creates an appearance that is visually very appealing.

In their preferred embodiment, the recesses have a depth of 0.025 mm to 0.05 mm with a width of 0.4 mm to 1.3 mm and a length of 6 mm to 40 mm. At least one end of the recesses becomes needle-like pointed designed to taper. The recesses are distributed so that most of them cut at least two more indentations. The recesses themselves have a divergent shape. Their area ratio is 5% to 50%, preferably 20% to 40% of the total area of the floor covering. They have a consistent depth along their entire length. Their floor runs parallel to the proportion of the flooring which is not provided with recesses. The latter is trained in itself. The width and also the length of the individual recesses varies. In this case, at least one of the lateral boundary lines of the recesses can bulge outwards or inwards at at least one point. Preferably, the recesses in the floor covering are mounted so that the floor covering is composed of individual, repeating surface units.

For manufacturing reasons, it is advantageous if the floor covering consists of a single-layer material. Its thickness is chosen from 2 mm to 5 mm, preferably from 2.5 mm to 4 mm.

Ausführung der ErfindungEmbodiment of the invention

Reference to an embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail below.

The figure shows a plan view of a section of the floor covering 1 of an elastomeric material. The thickness S of the floor covering 1 is 3 mm. Its surface 2 is provided with the irregularly distributed recesses 3, which are elongated shape and have approximately the shape of needles. They are highlighted in black here for clarity, but in the original in the same color as the surrounding surface. They are more or less randomly distributed over the surface 2. In part, they are needle-like pointed tapered at both ends. But there are also forms used, which are only pointed on one side. The majority of the recesses 3 intersects at least two further recesses 3. Only individual exceptions only intersect another recess 3. In the example, the depth T of the recesses is 0.025 mm, their widths B and their lengths L are variable. The surface portion of the recesses 3 is in the example about 28% of the total surface of the floor covering 1. The lateral boundary lines 4 of the recesses 3 are preferably bulged or dented. This results in a different width B over the length L of the recesses T. In the embodiment, a floor covering 1 is shown, which is composed of individual, repeating surface units. The figure shows a surface unit which is bounded by the triangles 5.

Beläge Rollwiderstand 20 kg belastet Gleitreibungsmessung mit Schuster-Gerät anfahren rollen ziehen in kg Noppe 1,0 0,8 1,5 erfindungsgemäße Oberfläche 0,8 0,6 1,7 glatt/eben 0,8 0,6 1,7 With respect to the rolling resistance and the sliding friction measurement, the values shown in the table below could be obtained in comparison with a conventional knob product and a flat product. coverings Rolling resistance 20 kg loaded Sliding friction measurement with Schuster device hit roll pull in kg burl 1.0 0.8 1.5 Surface according to the invention 0.8 0.6 1.7 smooth / flat 0.8 0.6 1.7

From the values it can be seen that a covering with nubs has a considerably higher rolling resistance. When rolling resistance product of the invention differs practically not from a completely flat, smooth product. The same applies to the sliding friction.
