Abstract

Procédé de fourniture de données d'assistance (58, 59) de GPS différentiel (GPSD) par un réseau de communication sans fil (10) AMDC à large bande afin de faciliter le positionnement de dispositifs de communication mobiles (12, 20). Le procédé consiste à fournir des données d'assistance GPS différentiel par un canal spécialisé de données physiques (DPDCH) et/ou un canal spécialisé de commande physique (DPCCH). Le terminal de communication mobile comprend un récepteur GPS intégré et peut comprendre des combinés de téléphonie cellulaire ou SCP, un ordinateur mobile, des assistants personnels PDA, etc. La présente invention permet d'obtenir un mécanisme de fourniture de données d'assistance GPSD afin d'amener la précision de la position du dispositif de communication mobile à environ 5 mètres.
