Description

The invention relates to a treatment device according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a treatment device is known from DE 3840 393 C3, which is worn in the ear. It has an approximately pear- or mushroom-shaped contour and lies against the outer ear canal and the auricle. "Housing" is only the part of an actually two-part housing that comes into contact with the skin of the wearer, the externally visible front of the device being designed in a manner known per se as a "cover plate" or "faceplate" on which The entire electronics of the treatment device are located, and such cover plates are made of plastic and are usually optically matched to the color of the ear, since this cover plate is visible when the user is wearing the hearing aid while the metallic housing part protruding into the ear is worn invisibly.
The so-called "housing" is therefore only attached to this cover plate in a hood-like manner and enables a anatomically adapted shape of the individual patient. It can be provided that this "housing" is made of metal so that it forms an electrode which, in cooperation with a second electrode, forms an automatic on / off switch which automatically switches the device on when it is inserted into the ear and the resistance between the electrodes is reduced by skin moisture.
Aufgrund der zunehmenden Verbreitung kleiner, kopfnah ver- wendeter elektronischer Geräte, wie Mobiltelefone oderDue to the increasing spread of small electronic devices used close to the head, such as cell phones or
Cordless telephones, the generic treatment devices are often exposed to interference radiation or can even cause interference to such devices.
Due to the ever smaller dimensions of the electronics and consequently of the entire treatment devices, the reduction of which is desirable for cosmetic reasons, there is also the risk of undesired damage if the treatment device is accidentally overlooked or z. B. releases during sports from the ear of the wearer and falls.
The invention has for its object to improve a generic treatment device in such a way that it enables the wearer to be as active as possible and is as insensitive as possible to mechanical and electronic influences.
This object on which the invention is based is achieved by a treatment device having the features of claim 1.
In other words, the invention proposes to produce the housing of the treatment device not only partially but entirely from metal, so that it shields the electronics of the treatment device from all sides. In this way it is ensured that, on the one hand, interference pulses from the outside cannot influence the hearing aid and, on the other hand, that possibly from the Hearing aid outgoing impulses are suppressed and can not disturb external devices.
In addition, the metallic housing provides excellent mechanical stability, which considerably exceeds the stability of the treatment devices usually made of plastic. Experiments have shown that a person can stand on such a metallic treatment device and that it can even be run over by a truck and that it is still ready for use afterwards.
For the purposes of the present invention are referred to as “essentially cylindrical”.
Ergänzend zu dieser grundsätzlichen mechanischen und elektri- sehen Stabilität des Hörgerätes kann vorteilhaft eine spezielleIn addition to this basic mechanical and electrical stability of the hearing aid, a special one can advantageously be used
Equipment against liquids are added. For the purposes of the present invention, “liquids” are not to be considered as all liquids, for example no aggressive acids or the like, but rather the liquids that are usually found in the household or in leisure time and which the treatment device therefore usually uses is exposed to, for example, body sweat or body care products, as well as water, possibly mixed with detergents or dishwashing detergents. In the following, the terms “water” and “waterproof” are always used purely by way of example for these aforementioned liquids.
For this purpose, the battery compartment can be designed to be watertight with respect to the rest of the housing, with various known possibilities being available to the person skilled in the art for this purpose. compartment lid with the rest of the housing or a circumferential elastomer seal can be provided on the battery compartment or on the lid of the battery compartment, or a watertight closure of the battery compartment or the battery compartment lid can be ensured by a labyrinthine contouring.
In the context of this waterproof equipment, it is also advantageously provided to seal the sound outlet opening in a watertight manner. For this purpose, according to the invention, a film can be provided which is acoustically permeable on the one hand, but on the other hand is watertight, so that penetrating water is retained on this film at the latest and cannot penetrate further into the interior of the treatment device and cause damage there. A suitable film of this type can consist, for example, of an stretched plastic, such as, for. B. is known under the trade name "Gore-Tex".

Have sound outlet opening to emit the treatment noises. Advantageously, however, in addition to the sound outlet opening, a sound receiving opening can also be provided in the housing, which is likewise sealed in a watertight manner by means of a film. The sound recording opening enables the treatment device to be designed as a hearing device, which amplifies and emits the recorded sounds. Possibly. two separate foils can be used at the two openings.
The housing can advantageously have two parts, one part of which has the battery compartment and the other part accommodates the actual electronics of the treatment device. Both parts can be screwed together, so that in order to open the battery compartment instead of a hinge-like opening, it is provided in a simple manner to unscrew the part of the housing having the battery compartment from the other part.

Reliable watertightness and inexpensive manufacture of the treatment device are thus favored. The configuration of such a two-part housing, the arrangement of the thread and the O-ring seal, and the handling of such a treatment device, in particular the screwing movement, are favored by the essentially cylindrical shape of the housing.

The housing can advantageously be made of titanium or a titanium alloy: In this way, an allergen-free or allergen-free housing is made possible, which is also mechanically and chemically highly resistant, which, thanks to its low weight, makes it extremely easy to carry and which also provides reliable electrical shielding ensures and which also in a simple manner by appropriate surface treatment such. B. anodizing, can be designed in various ways and thus customer requirements with regard to the optical appearance of the treatment device is well adaptable.
Durch diese Bohrung kann beispielsweise ein schmaler, stecknadelartigerHolding means can advantageously be provided which fix the battery in position within the battery compartment. Such holding means support the possibility of dispensing with a separate on and off switch: by correspondingly moving the battery compartment relative to the rest of the housing, it can be ensured, when the battery is fixed in the battery compartment, that the device is switched on or off with the aforementioned movement, since the movement between the battery and the actual electronics of the treatment device is established or interrupted depending on the movement. In order to be able to safely remove the battery from the battery compartment even with limited fine motor skills when using such holding means, a bore with a small diameter can advantageously be provided in the battery compartment. Through this hole, for example, a narrow, pin-like
Be inserted into the battery compartment to release the battery from its holder, for example when the battery is to be replaced.
Auf einfache Weise kann vorgesehen sein, diese Haltemittel alsIn a simple manner it can be provided that these holding means
Magnet auszugestalten. Design magnet. Sufficient holding forces on the one hand and easy removal of the battery on the other hand can be made possible in this way without any problems. Compared to mechanical holding means, for example clamps or the like, it can also be ruled out that wear of such holding means means that the battery is no longer securely held in the event of an advanced service life of the treatment device.
The magnet can advantageously be designed as a ring magnet, either in one piece or composed of several individual parts, the recess of this ring magnet being arranged above the small bore mentioned in the battery compartment, so that the battery can be ejected in the manner described without any problems.
The proposed hearing treatment device can e.g. B. as an in-ear device or as a behind-the-ear device. Correspondingly shaped sound tubes, which conduct the sound from the sound outlet opening of the housing in the vicinity of the eardrum of the user, can be detachably connected to the housing, e.g. B. by means of a thread. So the sound tubes can be removed in case of damage or for cleaning. In addition - with sufficiently small dimensions - the same housing can be used by using a corresponding sound tube can be worn either in the ear or behind the ear.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
Der obere Gehäuseteil 2a enthält die Elektronik des Be- handlungsgerätes, während der unten dargestellte Teil 2b ein1 generally shows a treatment device which has a two-part housing 2 made of a titanium alloy. The upper housing part 2a contains the electronics of the treatment device, while the part 2b shown below contains one
Contains battery compartment 7 of the treatment device 1. The two parts 2a and 2b are screwed together, an O-ring 3 located in the screwing area making it possible to design an overall waterproof housing 2.
The treatment device 1 is designed as a hearing aid. It therefore has a sound recording opening 4, behind which a microphone is arranged. The sound recording opening 4 is closed watertight by a waterproof but acoustically permeable film. Furthermore, the housing part 2 a has a sound outlet opening 5, via which noises can be emitted to the ear of the patient or the wearer of the treatment device 1. These noises are conducted from the sound outlet opening through a sound tube 6 into the ear of the wearer of the treatment device 1.
The sound tube 6 connects to the housing part 2a in a watertight manner, so it is only open in the region of its front free end and thereby prevents the ingress of liquid in many cases. In addition, however, the sound outlet opening 5 is sealed with a waterproof but acoustically permeable film, so that the penetration of moisture into the housing part 2a is avoided in any case. The electronics arranged in the housing part 2a is also housed in the housing part 2a in a watertight manner, for example glued in watertight, so that it forms a water barrier to the battery compartment 7. These electronics can have contacts on their underside, which are directed into the interior of the housing part 2b: in this way, the contacts mentioned can connect to a battery arranged in the battery compartment 7. In addition, these or other contacts can be used to connect external programming devices, so that when the housing part 2b is removed, the electronics of the treatment device 1 are influenced, for. B. can be programmed and adapted to the hearing of the patient.
If the housing part 2b is unscrewed from the housing part 2a, this ring magnet 8 therefore ensures that the battery is removed from the contacts of the electronics of the treatment device 1, so that this automatically
With the help of the ring magnet 8, it is therefore possible to switch off the treatment device 1 even with a slight rotary movement, so that the O-ring 3 is protected and risk of injury to the
O-Ring 3 vermieden werden, da der Gehäuseteil 2b nicht jeweils vollständig vom Gehäuseteil 2a abgeschraubt werden muß, wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet werden soll.O-ring 3 can be avoided since the housing part 2b does not have to be completely unscrewed from the housing part 2a when the device is to be switched off.
Im Gehäuseteil 2b ist eine untere Bohrung 9 mit geringemIn the housing part 2b is a lower bore 9 with a small
Provided diameter that opens into the central opening of the ring magnet 8. If a tool with a small diameter is inserted into the bore 9, the battery can be detached from the ring magnet 8 and removed from the battery compartment 7 with the aid of this tool, for example a pin.
The bore 9 also ensures that air can penetrate into the battery compartment, so that, for example when using zinc-air batteries, their trouble-free operation is ensured. Due to the small diameter of the bore 9 a on the part and due to the arrangement of the battery and the ring magnet 8, which together form a type of labyrinth seal, the interior of the housing part 2b is watertight despite the existing bore 9 for the usual practical applications of a hearing treatment device, in particular since the lower housing part 2b is water - And hermetically connects to the upper housing part 2a, so that the lower housing part 2b has its bore 9 only as a one-sided opening, so that in the absence of a second opening for ventilation and due to the small diameter of the bore 9, the displacement of those contained in the battery compartment 7 Air and the entry of moisture is difficult.
Die sackartige Form ermöglicht eine weitgehende Verformung derIn the event of increased demands on the watertightness of the treatment device, a water barrier between the magnet and the battery can be provided, in deviation from the exemplary embodiment shown, for. B. in the form of a film bag suspended in the housing part 2b. The low material thickness ensures a sufficient holding force of the magnet. The sack-like shape allows extensive deformation of the
Foil and thus ejecting the battery using hole 9. When using an air-permeable foil, all types of batteries can be used without any problems.
With 10 a film is indicated, which is waterproof and at the same time acoustically permeable and which is permeable to air due to the smallest pores. Due to the small dimensions of the treatment device 1, a single piece of film is provided for easy installation. So that the vibrations of this film 10 do not have a mutual impairment of sound absorption and sound exit, the two film areas assigned to these openings are acoustically separated from one another, for example by a frame which separates at least one of the two areas from the other area. Such a frame can be formed by the top of the block containing the electronics or by a separate component. The dimensions of the treatment device 1 can be kept comparatively small: for example, with a diameter of about 1 cm and a length of about 2 cm, it can be worn either behind the ear as a retroauricular treatment device or in the ear.
The surface of the housing 2 can be matted, corrugated or non-circular in order to enable safe access, which facilitates the screwing or unscrewing of the two housing parts 2a and 2b.
