Abstract

Die Erfindung befaßt sich mit der Ausbildung von alterungsbeständigen Kontaktelementen 10, die im zusammengedrückten Zustand eine leitfähige Verbindung zwischen zwei einander gegenüberliegenden Kontakten herstellen. Kontaktelemente 10 gemäß dem Stand der Technik weisen in aller Regel einen rechteckigen Körper auf, an dessen Oberfläche eine Mehrzahl von Kontaktbahnen 15 ausbildet sind. Da die Körper 11 solcher Kontaktelemente 10 zur Herstellung der Elastizität aus geschäumten oder vulkanisierten Kunststoffen gebildet sind, unterliegen sie der Alterung und können daher keine dauerhafte Kontaktierung sicherstellen. Daher wird erfindungsgemäß ein Kontaktelement 10 angegeben, dessen Körper 11 lediglich aus einer dünnen Wandung 12 gebildet ist, die nicht notwendig ein vom Körper 11 eingeschlossenes Hohlprofil 13 vollständig umrandet. Hier durch wird eine Langzeitstabilität gewährleistet, vor allem wenn die Wandung 12 aus einen Metall- oder Glasfasermaterial gebildet wird. Die gleichen Ergebnisse werden dann erreicht, wenn der Körper 11 mit dünnen Einlagen 22 aus Metall oder Glasfaser versehen wird.

The invention is concerned with the formation of aging-resistant contact elements 10 which, in the compressed state, produce a conductive connection between two opposing contacts. Contact elements 10 according to the prior art generally have a rectangular body, on the surface of which a plurality of contact tracks 15 are formed. Since the bodies 11 of such contact elements 10 for producing the elasticity are formed from foamed or vulcanized plastics, they are subject to aging and therefore cannot ensure permanent contact. Therefore, according to the invention, a contact element 10 is specified, the body 11 of which is merely formed from a thin wall 12, which does not necessarily completely surround a hollow profile 13 enclosed by the body 11. Long-term stability is guaranteed here, especially if the wall 12 is formed from a metal or glass fiber material. The same results are achieved when the body 11 is provided with thin inserts 22 made of metal or glass fiber.
