Abstract
Description
- The subject of the present invention is a device for supporting shielding elements that can be applied to lighting apparatuses.
- As is known, there exist numerous types of wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted lighting apparatuses, which are equipped with a containment body for one or more light sources. In addition, accessories are currently available that can be applied to the light source and reduce the overall light emission of the apparatus, increase visual comfort, or create various luminous effects.
- In the presence of such a wide variety of forms and embodiments, it is evident that not in all cases are these accessories applicable to the lighting apparatus in a simple and fast way.
- A device for supporting shielding elements according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from DE 295 05 547 U1.
- A purpose of the present invention is therefore to provide a device for supporting shielding elements, which enables simple and effective application of shielding elements to a lighting apparatus.
- Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a device for supporting shielding elements that enables easy and fast replacement of the said shielding elements, according to the lighting requirements.
- These and other purposes are achieved by a device for supporting shielding elements for lighting apparatuses, according to Claim 1, to which the reader is referred for reasons of brevity.
- Further purposes and advantages of the present invention will emerge clearly from the ensuing description and from the annexed drawings, which are provided purely to give explanatory and non-limiting examples, and in which:
- Figure 1 represents a perspective view of a device for supporting a shielding element, according to the invention, applied to a lighting apparatus;
- Figure 2 represents a cross-sectional view of the supporting device of Figure 1;
- Figure 3 represents a schematic view from above of the device according to the invention;
- Figure 4 represents a schematic view from beneath of the device according to the invention;
- Figure 5 represents a schematic front view of the device according to the invention; and
- Figure 6 represents a schematic side elevation of the device according to the invention.
- With particular reference to the above-mentioned figures, the device for supporting shielding elements for lighting apparatuses, according to the invention, is designated as a whole by the
reference number 10. - The supporting
device 10 consists of abase 11 and a pair ofelastic elements said base 11. - The
device 10 is inserted so that it rests on alampholder rim 14 belonging to alighting apparatus 22, as is shown in the cross section of Figure 2. - In greater detail, the said
elastic elements - Each of the wires is shaped in such a way as to enable, via co-operation with the wire set opposite to it, clamping and support of a
shielding element 19, set in front of thelight source 20 and of thedish 21 belonging to thelighting apparatus 22. - In fact, each of the wires forms a
clip portion shielding element 19. - The
shielding element 19 is substantially disk-shaped and may consist of normal glass, coloured glass, dichroic glass, or else of a grated shield, or a shield with holes, or some other type of shielding element. - As may be seen in the attached figures, the
shielding element 19 is set at a certain distance from thelight source 20, and is held in this position by the elastic action of the steel wires. - It should be noted that the device according to the invention enables easy and fast replacement of the said shielding element, by exploiting the elasticity of the material of which the wires are made.
- This is all the more important in the case where a plurality of light sources is present, which are arranged on a set of lighting apparatuses, and the aim is to modify the shielding elements according to the particular requirements and the desired lighting effects, possibly creating configurations of shielding elements as desired.
- The characteristics, as well as the advantages, of the device for supporting shielding elements for lighting apparatuses, which forms the subject of the present invention, emerge clearly from the foregoing description.
- In the practical implementation of the invention, the materials, shapes and sizes of the items illustrated may be any whatsoever according to the requirements
