Description

The subject of this invention is a axial blade retainer arrangement in a turbomachine disk, which we can especially use in blowers to the entrance of these.

We are concerned here about the damage situations that can occur when a dawn breaks by a shock caused by the entry of a foreign body into the machine or during a failure. Dawn standing out hitting her neighbor and exerting axial and important radials on it, which can break it at his turn. The device proposed here makes it possible to absorb the axial component of a shock force acting on dawn. This is a special arrangement intervene the wedges of the dawn, located between the disc and a dawn foot sliding in a groove and stop its axial movement in the groove.

According to the invention, the wedging pieces form a set relatively flexible which is exploited here possibilities of deformation by allowing the dawn of move in the groove up to a limit determined. A relatively large energy is absorbed without excessive force being exerted on the dawn struck. The deformation is reversible, that is to say that the parts of the rigging set come back to their original state after the shock, dawn is pushed back to its original position, other shocks may still be absorbed, and in particular others shocks after the initial shock can be absorbed in the same event.

This assembly, elastic in the axial direction, sliding blade in an axial groove or slightly oblique differs from known arrangements, where dawn is is rigidly connected to the disk and deprived of any possibility of axial displacement, or restraint axially by a part likely to break or flambé in case of excessive axial force. Dawn undergoing shock will be likely to break easily in the first case, and the piece broken or having flamed will not be able to support other charges elevated during the same event in the second case.

Another aspect of the invention is that however, limits the deformation that the pieces of stalling are likely to suffer, so they do not keep of permanent deformations: a stop is added for that, between dawn and the disc. When the dawn shifting was enough to reach the stop position, the mechanical system becomes much more rigid, that is to say that much larger stress increases are necessary to produce displacements additional. The energy of the axial impact as well as the efforts are then shared between the two levels of the restraining arrangement of the stop system, and avoiding breaking one or the other of the systems.

The restraint of the first level is of a flexibility as it lets dawn slide in the alveolus of the disc without great axial effort before the second level does not intervene after a game imposed and, at that moment, retain dawn by including stiffness and ability of the arrangement.

The utility of the invention is not limited the absorption of shock forces consecutive to a next dawn break, but to all the causes axial forces on the blades, such as the impacts solid bodies, birds or others.

We will see that many variants of realization, externally different from each other others, are possible for the invention, but a general definition thereof is a dual-flexible retaining arrangement of a blade in a disk according to axial displacements of the blade, comprising a first level of deformation at significant flexibility and a second level of distortion marked by a disappearance of games enters at minus a chain of elements of the arrangement and by a decreased flexibility coupled with increasing burden elements of the chain, without breaking or buckling none of the elements of the chain. Advantageously, the arrangement of holding a dawn in a disk where dawn can slide substantially axially in the disk, includes wedges of the blade, and is characterized in that the wedging pieces are joined by pairs of thrust surfaces directed axially and ending either on a portion of the record or on a parts, which is connected to the disc, the pieces of wedging or the portion of the disc being at least partially flexible, and in that a determined game exists in the axial direction between either a portion of the disk be a portion of an attachment to the disk, and either a portion of the dawn, or a portion of a attachment at dawn, said game being consumed when a determined axial force was exerted on the dawn.

The arrangement can be on one side dawn, or both sides, the game being then advantageously on one side and the wedging parts of the other side.

  • La figure 1 est une vue générale d'une soufflante et montre un assemblage de fixation des aubes ;
  • Les figures 2 et 3 représentent pour un mode de réalisation de l'invention les deux extrémités de l'agencement de retenue des aubes ;
  • La figure 3A est une vue axiale d'un élément essentiel de la figure 3 ;
All this, as well as more specific aspects, will become more apparent from the following description, in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, the list of which is given below:
  • Figure 1 is a general view of a blower and shows a blade attachment assembly;
  • Figures 2 and 3 show for an embodiment of the invention the two ends of the blade retainer arrangement;
  • Figure 3A is an axial view of an essential element of Figure 3;
  • And Figure 4 illustrates another embodiment of the invention.

Figure 1 shows some parts essential features of a turbomachine blower, one of which cone 1, a disc 2 covered by cone 1 and vanes 3 whose blades 4 come out of cone 1 and which include still feet 5 housed in grooves of the disk 2. As it is known, the dawn feet have a section bulbous, dovetailed, or swollen analogous in a groove of complementary shape, to interlock with it and to prohibit centrifugal movements of extraction of the blades 3 when the cone 1 rotates with the rotor of the turbomachine.

We are now referring more specifically to Figure 2 which represents the front of the arrangement. The dawn foot 5 is placed on a hold 7 which keeps it in place against the top of the groove by overflowing towards the front, where the hold 7 comes up against a ring of circumferential retention 8 which itself stumbles towards the front against a flange 9 of the disc 2. The ring of circumferential retention has notches 25 of limited angular extension which receive the wedge ends 7 and prevent them from moving axially in the grooves 26, as is known. In addition, a flange 10 covers the ring 8, the flange 9 and the shim 7 and is in the form of an envelope 11 pretty thin bolted to an outer portion 12 of the disc 2 via screws 13.

An important aspect of the invention lies in the pairs of abutment surfaces 27, 28 and 29 in look, surfaces respectively arranged on the foot 5 and the hold 7, on the hold 7 and the ring 8, and on the ring 8 and the flange 9; these surfaces are directed in the axial direction.

When the dawn foot 5 is moved to the front, he pushes the hold 7, then the ring 8, until the flange 9 is touched, by a contact successive surfaces of pairs 27, 28 and 29. But this stack in the axial direction is quite flexible to because of the number of parts involved and their opportunities to deform, especially by bending and the twisting of the ring 8 due to its thinness and to a radial offset of the pairs of abutment surfaces 28 and 29 between which it is located: a displacement additional value of the blade root 5 will therefore require some strength, but relatively low in a first stage of the deformation. A collar 6 of the disk 2, leading to the flange 9, also flexes under load and offers flexibility additional.

On passe maintenant à la figure 3, où est représenté l'autre côté du disque 2 et de l'aube 1.We now go to Figure 3, where is represented the other side of the disc 2 and the dawn 1.

Disk 2 is bolted to a drum 14 which includes a flange 15 ending in a hood which covers the dawn foot 5 and the hold 7. In addition, the drum 14 is provided with a flange 18 provided with notches 17 each of which comes to cap a tenon 19 of a rear portion 20 of the blade root 5, and a heel 21 of this rear portion 20 extends behind the flange 18, from which he is separated by a determined game in normal circumstances, where dawn does not undergo any effort axial axis. When this eventuality appears and as dawn moves forward, the game 22 gradually diminishes but remains parts 7, 8 and 9 begin to undergo deformation. When it reaches a certain value, the game 22 is consumed and direct contact is established between heel 21 and the rib 18; as these two pieces are much more rigid than those from the front of assembly, much larger forces are necessary to move the dawn further forward, so we get a montage of dawn weakly rigid for small movements but highly rigid for larger movements. This property absorbs shock energy large enough received by dawn in case of exceptional loads such as ingestion of birds or especially the loss of dawn, without the risk of damaging different parts of the retainer arrangement.

This conception of montage from dawn to two successive levels of rigidity can be set implemented by technical arrangements presenting a different appearance, as shown in Figure 4. The foot dawn 5 is still lying on a wedge 7 climb into the same groove of the disc 2, and its position on the circumference can be provided by a similar piece to ring 8 but that is not represented here and does not participates more in the assembly of the invention. Here a flask 30 covers at the front the hold 7 and the dawn foot 5; it is united to the disc 2 by bolts 31 and extends radially outward before curved hook-shaped 32 of angular extension limited which is located opposite the foot of blade 5; he includes, not far from the bolts 31, a thinned portion 33 which gives it extra flexibility. Moreover, the disc 2 comprises a flange 34 extending towards outside, with angular extension notches limited and finishing behind the hook 32 also notched between him and the flask itself. The notches of the hook 32 and the flange 34 are extended by so that the solid parts of these two pieces are facing and separated in normal time from a game 35.

In this design, all elements of the mounting at two levels of rigidity are therefore at the front of the blades, the game 35 having the role of the game 22 previous. When a dawn is undergoing a force forward, the dawn foot 5 pushes hold 7 by bending the flange 30 by the thinned portion 33, until the game 35 is gone and the hook 32 is against the flange 34 much more rigid than the flange 30, this which greatly increases the resistance of the assembly to additional movements of dawn. Deformation wedges are accomplished by the stop between two pairs of surfaces 27 and 36, located respectively on foot 5 and hold 7 (as previously), and between the shim 7 and the flange 30.
