Abstract
Description
- The object of the present Patent application is an improved children's playhouse, which, in addition to the function for which it was designed, contributes a number of advantages that shall be set out hereinafter, besides others inherent in the arrangement and construction thereof.
- The market currently has many and varied types of children's playhouses, usually fitted in parks and children's playgrounds, which are made up of heavy and sizeable units, consisting of four walls and windows, and a doorway or access into the playhouse, and a roof or top.
- The above-mentioned children's playhouses are complicated and hard to assemble, and they are therefore usually built fixed, and take up considerable space wherever they are installed, which is why their use is almost exclusively restricted to their installation in parks and children's playgrounds.
- The improved children's playhouse subject of the present registration is characterised because it comprises several pieces of lightweight moulded material, which are assembled and taken apart by socketing elements and conventional fixing means, allowing the playhouse to be easily and quickly assembled and taken apart anywhere, such as for instance in gardens in houses, schools, etc.
- Said children's playhouse essentially comprises four walls which define a rectangular plan, and a doubly inclined roof consisting of two parts which may be socketed to each other, fixed to the end walls of the playhouse by means of rotating cams suitably arranged next to its contour and each entering housings purposefully provided in said walls, which are previously joined to each other by means of braces fixed by means of screws between pairs of adjoining walls.
- Furthermore, the walls of the playhouse are provided with recesses respectively allowing the installation by socketing means of an entrance door with an appropriate key, a window with a double folding shutter and two windows in each of which sills are assembled to represent a kitchen and a toilet.
- Finally, the invention includes a number of stickers to decorate certain parts of the playhouse.
- In order to complete the description made hereinafter and for an easier understanding of its characteristics, attached to this specification is a set of drawings whose figures show the most significant details of the invention for illustrative and non-limiting purposes.
- Figures 1 to 10 show successive views of how a playhouse of the type of the invention is assembled.
- Figures 11 and 12 each show perspective views of the playhouse in order to show all of its sides.
- Figure 13 is a close-view showing how adjoining walls are fixed by screwing the brace parts.
- Figure 14 is a close-view showing how the roof is fixed onto the walls by means of rotating cams arranged next to the contour of the roof, each entering recesses in the latter.
- With reference to the above figures and in accordance with the references numerals used, the same are seen to show a practical embodiment of the invention, consisting of an improved lightweight moulded material children's playhouse which may be taken apart, defining a rectangular plan upon being assembled, and comprising four walls -1-, -2-, -3- and -4-, two of which -1-, -2-, are longer and shorter than the other two -3-, -4-, the walls being fixed to each other by screwing panel braces -5-, suitably arranged in twos on the internal adjoining edges of said walls, as shown in figure 1.
- Once said walls are fixed, the top or roof is assembled, the roof having a double incline and consisting of two identical parts -6-, -7-, which are press-fitted into each other, as shown in figure 2.
- Figure 3 shows how the roof is arranged on the walls, interposing at the same time window shutters -8- and the front door -9-, which have hinges -8a- and -9a- allowing them to turn within respective housings existing next to recesses -1a-, -2a- provided in the longer facing walls 1- and -2- of the playhouse, as shown in figures 4 and 5.
- Parts -6- and -7- making up the playhouse roof have rotating cams -10- entering matching housings -11- located inside the walls of said playhouse, ensuring that the roof is fixed, as shown in figure 6.
- Figure 7 shows a part -12- with a tap -13- that may be pressed into the same, and incuts allowing it to be fitted to a window -14- on an end wall -3- of the playhouse, making up a sill representing a toilet fitted to that window, as shown in figure 8.
- Figure 9 shows the installation of a similar part -15-, representing a kitchen and having side incuts to be coupled to a window -16-provided on the other end wall -4- of the playhouse, making up a windowsill, which is assembled in a manner similar to the preceding case, as shown in said figure 9.
- Figure 10 shows how the door -9- is provided with a key -17-, opening of the door -9- allowing access into the playhouse, which upon being assembled has the appearance shown in figures 11 and 12.
- Figures 13 and 14 each represent views of the brace -5- joining the walls and of a rotating cam -10- of the roof -6-7- in its respective housing -11- in the wall, at respective operative positions fixing the appropriate parts.
- It should finally be noted that the playhouse is further provided with a number of stickers or accessory elements decorating the present invention, which may have various shapes, sizes, designs and colours.
