Abstract

A beaded plate (12) and method of making same for a heat exchanger (10) includes a plate (12) having a generally planar surface (28) with an inlet (30) and an outlet (32). The beaded plate (12) also includes a plurality of first beads (36) extending generally perpendicular to the surface (28) of the plate (12).
The beaded plate (12) further includes a restriction (38) in at least one of the inlet (30) and the outlet (32) to restrict fluid flow.
