Abstract

A gas flow device comprises a body (1,2) having a gas inlet (3) linked to a gas outlet (4) via a passageway housing a flame failure member that is movable between two fixed positions, in the first of which gas flow through the device is restricted or shut off completely and in the second of which it is unrestricted, wherein the device also incorporates in addition to a standard bypass hole (13) allowing sufficient gas flow to establish a pilot light, at least one auxiliary bypass hole (23).
