Abstract

The device with a double articulation for movable safety lattices for windows and similar consists of a first hinge joint (1, 2) that allows the lateral rotation of a lever arm (4) ending up into a second joint (5) sliding in an opposite guide (6) provided on the horizontal upper and lower sides of the frame (7) of each shutter of the lattice (G) that may therefore be opened and turned so as to leave the window (F) or similar to which said lattice is applied, completely free.

Description

  • The present invention concerns a device with a double articulation for movable safety lattices for windows and similar.
  • It is well known that, in an attempt to avoid frequent burglaries in public and private places, at present the application of metal safety lattices to windows, French windows and similar in the ground or low floors or attics of buildings appears to be necessary.
  • But if said lattices are installed as a fixed structure, they ruin the aesthetics of the building and, most of all, they transform the living and/or working place into a kind of prison, with unpleasant psycologic consequences for the inhabitants.
  • Furthermore, document GB-A-2212542 (Watt) is known, disclosing the installation of a security panel connected with mounting members by means of a double pivot hinges provided with an expansion spring so that said panel may be applied to an opening in the wall clamped between said mounting members with a motion of 90° and fixed to said mounting members with locking means.
  • It is the aim of the present invention to realize a means for moving said safety lattices which, while maintaining their efficiency, allows the moving or lateral disposition thereof.
  • The aim set forth is reached by means of the device according to the present invention, consisting of a first hinge joint that allows the lateral rotation of a lever arm ending up into a second joint sliding in an apposite guide provided on the horizontal upper and lower sides of the frame of each shutter of the lattice that may therefore be opened and turned so as to leave the window or similar to which said lattice is applied, completely free.
  • The functional advantage of the device according to the present invention is evident.
  • The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the drawings in which an embodiment and an installation thereof are shown.
  • Figure 1 shows an axonometric and partially transparent view of a device with a double articulation for movable safety lattices for windows and similar, according to the present invention, in the position of a closed, installed lattice.
  • Figures 2 and 3 respectively show an axonometric and a plant view of the device according to the present invention, with a portion of the lattice open.
  • Figures 4 and 5 show, in detail, the position of the device installed in the two mentioned portions of said lattice.
  • The enclosed figures show a device with a double articulation for movable safety lattices for windows and similar, according to the present invention, comprising:
    • a means 1 for application to the lateral wall of a window F, carrying a hinge 2 for the housing of a pin 3 from which a lever arm 4 parts which, in the close position of the shutter G of the lattice, is parallel to the glass of said window;
    • a second joint 5, constituted by a pin placed at the end of said arm 4, that allows the rotation motion of said shutter G following to the sliding thereof in an opposite guide 6 provided in a frame 7 of the upper and lower sides of said shutter G, so as to be removed and turned from said window F when it is not used.

Claims (1)

  1. A shutter for movable safety lattices for windows, provided wih a device with a double articulation on the horizontal upper and lower sides of the frame of the shutter and comprising:
    - a means (1) for application to the lateral wall of a window (F), carrying a hinge (2) housing a pin (3) from which a lever arm (4) parts which, in the closed position of the shutter (G) of the lattice, is parallel to the glass of said window;
    - a second joint (5) constituted by a pin placed at the end of said arm (4), characterized in that the second joint (5) allows the rotation motion of said shutter (G) following to the sliding thereof in an opposite guide (6) provided in the said horizontal upper and lower sides of the frame (7) of the shutter (G), so as to be removed and turned from said window (F) when it is not used, to leave the window to which said lattice is applied completely free.
