Abstract

Light fitting is attached to its support using fixing clips (36). Packaging box (30) comprises section (38) which is easily detachable from packaging. Fixing clips are situated inside packaging box, and behind detachable section so that they can be accessed without opening rest of packaging.

Description

The present invention relates to a packaging box for a luminaire intended to be fixed to any support by means of intermediate parts to be fixed to said support, parts provided with means for hanging the luminaire there.

An object of the invention is to protect the luminaire during operations preceding its final assembly, and to facilitate this assembly.

For this purpose, the packaging box easily includes a part detachable from the closed packaging, and the said intermediate parts are placed in the packaging box behind the detachable part, and are removable from so that they can be removed without opening the rest of the packaging.

Particular embodiments of the invention appear in the dependent claims 2 and 3.

The luminaire of FIG. 1 comprises inter alia:

• a body comprising a half-shell 1 called "roof", provided with means of attachment 35 to any support, for example a ceiling or a wall, here taking the form of a trapezoidal block attached to the roof 1 (which can take other known forms, for example being integrated into the roof, molded with it),
• a transparent cover or "basin" 2,
• a plate 4, made of a profiled sheet, carrying internal functional elements of the luminaire: inter alia a ballast 7, sockets 9 of fluorescent tubes 10.

A clip 36 consists for example of a piece of spring sheet metal, open trapezoid shape, carrying holes 37 for passing fixing screws to a ceiling or a wall, and in which the luminaire can be hung by means of the trapezoidal block 35.

In Figure 2, the bowl 2 has been turned over and placed upside down on the body 1, and the sockets 9 are removed. So the whole thing is lower and can be packed in a smaller box, making transportation and more economical storage.

In FIG. 3, an easily detachable part 38 of the package 30, which here has the shape of a rectangular box, is included in the upper wall, for example of cardboard, of this packaging and is surrounded by a line 40 the along which the wall of the packaging is semi-incised, which allows easily detach a rectangle 38. This rectangle also bears a drawing which serves as a drilling template, including the indication of the position of holes 35, for fixing clips 37 to a ceiling or a wall.

In Figure 4, the cardboard rectangle 38 is half detached. Because the fixing clips, one of which is shown at 36, are placed behind this part 38, they are accessible. They are attached by a temporary means any, such as a piece of tape not shown, so an installer can take the necessary clips without opening completely the packaging box and especially without removing the luminaire from packaging. It is clear that the clip 36 is not necessarily attached in the packaging box in the place it will occupy, opposite the luminaire, once last in use position. So the lights can be kept wrapped, therefore protected, during the whole period of fixing the clips to a ceiling or partition, period during which the installer has both clips and their mounting template.

It should be understood that the verb "to understand" does not exclude the presence elements or steps other than those listed in a claim.

Packaging box for a luminaire intended to be fixed to a support any by means of intermediate parts (36) to be fixed to said support, parts provided with means for hanging the luminaire there, characterized in that the packaging box (30) comprises an easily detachable part (38) of the closed packaging, and the said intermediate parts are placed in the packaging box behind the detachable part, and are removable so can be removed without opening the rest of the packaging. Packaging box according to claim 1, characterized in that the part easily detachable from the closed packaging is included in a wall of the packaging and surrounded by a line (40) along which the wall of the packaging is semi-incised. Packaging box according to claim 1, characterized in that the part easily detachable from the closed packaging carries a drawing (35) intended to serve as a template for fixing the intermediate parts.
