Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines geteilten Maschinengehäuses, welches in der Teilungsebene geteilte Lagerstellen für eine einzusetzende Welle aufweist, insbesondere eines in der Ebene der Kurbelwelle geteilten Kurbelgehäuses einer Brennkraftmaschine, wobei die Maschinengehäuse-Teile zunächst zusammengesetzt und die Lagerstellen bearbeitet werden und danach die Maschinengehäuse-Teile voneinander getrennt werden und die Welle eingelegt wird, wonach das Maschinengehäuse unter Vorsehen einer Dichtung in der Teilungsebene zusammengesetzt wird. Dabei wird die durch ein zunächst fließfähiges Dichtmittel gebildete Dichtung nach dem Einlegen der Welle und dem Zusammensetzen des Maschinengehäuses von außen in eine in zumindest einem der Maschinengehäuse-Teile in der Teilungsebene vorgesehene Nut eingespritzt.
