Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de sécurité incluant un insigne de sécurité ou d'identité (24) destiné à être porté par une personne. L'insigne d'identité comprend une surface réfléchissante présentant un motif réflecteur prédéterminé indiquant des informations d'identification prédéterminées relatives à la personne portant l'insigne. Un moyen est utilisé pour éclairer la surface réfléchissante de l'insigne avec un rayonnement (22) et détecter le rayonnement réfléchi par le motif réflecteur prédéterminé (20). Un signal est émis par le rayonnement détecté pour indiquer les informations d'identification prédéterminées relatives à la personne portant l'insigne. De préférence, l'insigne est éclairé par une longueur d'onde lumineuse visible et le motif réflecteur prédéterminé inclut un film rétroflecteur. La surface réfléchissante présente éventuellement un motif réflecteur prédéterminé indiquant des informations d'identification prédéterminées relatives à la personne portant l'insigne et un moyen de remplacer ce motif réflecteur prédéterminé par un motif réflecteur prédéterminé différent indiquant des informations d'identification prédéterminées différentes, ce moyen pouvant être, par exemple, une source d'énergie électromagnétique rayonnant sur la surface réfléchissante de l'insigne.
