Description

The invention relates to a surgical light, in particular for the dental sector, with a lamp body, a light bulb, a support for the light bulb, a reflector for radiated light from the bulb, a shading hood for the bulb, a lamp handle and a fastener to the operating light to be attached to a holder, wherein the fastening element is provided on the carrier. Optionally, the surgical light may further include a splinter shield disposed around the shading hood and in front of the reflector.

An operating light of the type described above is known for example from DE 42 26 594 A1 and is used in the dental field to the oral cavity of a patient as possible to illuminate evenly. The desired light is directed through the reflector into the oral cavity. The light coming directly from the bulb is retained by the shading hood to prevent glare and unevenness in the illumination.

A problem with surgical lights is that they pollute in their use and therefore need to be cleaned regularly, but better sterilized. Especially in the dental field, the rotating tools used there lead very easily to the fact that organic particles reach the surgical light, which form a potential source of infection. This applies in particular if the respective operating light is led to the respective patient as far as the spray mist area forming in front of the oral cavity.

The invention has for its object to provide an operating light of the type described above, in which it is possible with very little effort to meet high purity requirements.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that an assembly of the lamp body, the reflector, the shading hood and the lamp handle is removable and sterilizable by the carrier attached to the holder.

The attachment of the new operating light to a holder, so for example on an adjustable articulated arm via the carrier for the light bulb. From this carrier an assembly is removable, which includes all exposed parts of the surgical light. This does not include the protected by the shading hood bulb, which is kept constantly sterile by its high operating temperature, and protected by the shading hood and the reflector support for the bulb. These remain with the entire electrical wiring to the respective holder for the operating light. Removable from this is the assembly with the lamp body, the reflector, the shading hood and the lamp handle. This means that all parts of the operating light that are exposed to direct access or at risk of being splashed with organic material can be removed. Furthermore, this assembly is sterilizable. That is, it can be sterilized or autoclaved as a whole chemically or thermally and introduced into a sterilizer or autoclave. All components of the assembly and their compounds are resistant to this treatment, as well as against an automated cleaning of the assembly, for example in a dishwasher. Of course it is enbenfälls possible to disassemble the assembly into their individual parts, and to sterilize and / or clean these items. However, the particularly simple handling of the new operating light is given when the assembly is sterilized as a unit and then the bulb is again attached to the carrier.

The connection between the assembly of the lamp body, the reflector, the Abschattungshaube and the lamp handle on the one hand and the support for the bulb on the other hand can be effected in that on the lamp body, a receiving socket is formed for the carrier. A rear closure for this receptacle can be effected by a luminous lid on the carrier. To secure the removable assembly to the carrier, one or more screw can be provided. For example, screws can engage through screw holes in the luminaire lid in threaded sockets in the lamp body.

In order to dissipate the heat developed by the light bulb in the new operating light, convection channels can be formed between the support and the receiving socket. These convection channels must be open and accordingly continue through the luminaire lid, if such closes the receiving socket. The convection channels can be constructively achieved, for example, that between the carrier and the inner surface of the receiving socket rib-shaped spacers are provided.

The reflector can be attached to the receiving socket with the new operating light with a locking ring. The locking can be done in the manner of a bayonet lock. So a replacement of the reflector is easy and easy. Any convection channels in the receiving socket may not close the locking ring.

The lamp body may have a U-shaped basic shape and hold at its free end the shading hood. The shading hood can be connected to the free end of the lamp body, for example via a dovetail guide. For a defined position of the shading hood relative to the free end of the lamp body, a stop for the shading hood on the lamp body is provided.

If the lamp body has a U-shaped basic shape, this feature covers a variety of design options in detail. By way of example, the luminaire body can form the luminaire handle in a region projecting out to the front. The lamp handle can be designed for example as a handle ring.

The shading hood should be provided with convection slots to allow the dissipation of the heat developed by the bulb by convection. These convection slots are the simple, ie single-layer formation of the shading hood not in the way when the bulb is provided at its tip with an opaque coating. In this combination, there is no danger that the light bulb from the light beam through the shading hood directly exits, nor that the shading hood is heated by the heat radiation of the bulb so far that there is a risk of burns on contact. The cover for the tip of the light bulb can be applied, for example, by dipping the light bulb in a suitable coating material and then baking become.

The detachable from the carrier assembly may further comprise a arranged around the shading hood and in front of the reflector transparent splinter protection for the bulb. This splinter protection can be mounted with a simple plug connection to the lamp body, wherein an additional backup of the splinter protection is effected by the shading hood engaging in it.

The splinter shield is preferably formed of heat-resistant plastic to be interchangeable without great expense. For this example, polycarbonate is suitable. The remaining parts of the detachable assembly are preferably made of heat-resistant and inert plastics, at least up to the reflector. The lamp body, the shading hood and the lamp handle can be made of one and the same plastic. The reflector is typically formed of glass; but it can also be formed of heat-resistant and inert plastic.

The surgical lamp 1 shown in Figure 1 has a lamp body 2, which has a U-shaped basic shape. At the free end of his rear leg, which is shown on the right in Figure 1, the lamp body 2 forms a receiving socket 3 for a support 4, on which a light bulb 5 is mounted. The light bulb 5 is a halogen bulb, which is inserted into a socket 6 and whose tip is provided with an opaque coating 7. Around the light bulb 5 around a reflector 8 is arranged, which is fastened with a locking ring 9 on the receiving socket 3 in the manner of a bayonet closure. The carrier 4 for the light bulb 5 engages with the socket 6 through the locking ring 9 therethrough. Rearward, the receiving socket 3 is covered by a light cover 10, which is part of the carrier 4. On the light cover 10 a Gelenkanguß 11 is formed, which serves as a fastener for attaching the operating light 1 to an articulated arm 12 shown here only dashed lines. An adjusting screw 29 on the support 4 is used to adjust the position of the socket 6 and thus the light bulb 5 relative to the reflector 8 in order to achieve the desired light distribution in the respective operating room. The adjusting screw 29 is accessible through an opening 30 in the light cover 10. It typically only needs to be adjusted once after a light bulb 5 has been inserted into the socket 6. In its lower front region of the lamp body forms a lamp handle 13, which is a handle ring here. At its front free end of the lamp body carries a shading hood 14 for the bulb 5. Around the shading hood 14 and in front of the reflector 8, a transparent splinter protection 15 is arranged, which is mounted on the lamp body 2 via a plug connection 16. By removing the receiving socket 3 from the support 4, an assembly of the operating light 1 is removable, which consists of the lamp body 2, the reflector 8 with the associated locking ring 9, the shading hood 14 and the splinter protection 15 including the light handle formed by the lamp body 2 13.

In order to actually remove this assembly, two reproduced in Figure 2 screws 17 must be solved, which engage through screw holes 18 in the light cover 10 through threaded bushings 19, which are pressed into holes 20 provided for this purpose in the lamp body 2. FIG. 2 also shows only the luminaire body 2 and the luminous cap 10. FIG. 2 also shows a screw seat 21 with associated threaded bushing 22 for a fastening screw which is provided for attaching the surgical lamp 1 in the region of the joint gate 11 to the articulated arm 12, but not here is shown. Furthermore, it is apparent from Figure 2, a dovetail guide 23 for the cover 14 according to Figure 1, which is provided at the free front end of the lamp body 2.

From the left half of Figure 3, which shows a cross section through the cover 14, go beyond the dovetail guide 23 for the storage of the shading hood 14 convection slots 24 in the shading hood 14. From the right half of Figure 3 it can be seen that 3 convection channels 25 are formed between the carrier 4 and the receiving socket. These convection channels are present between rib-shaped spacers 31 of the carrier 4 and the receiving bushing 3 and continue until through the luminous cover 10 according to Figure 1, which is provided with openings 26 accordingly. The convection slots 24 and the convection channels 25 communicating therewith allow for dissipation of heat generated by the bulb 5 by air convection. In this case, no part of the surgical lamp 1, which can be detected from the outside, heats up so much that there is a risk of burns. High temperatures reached only the bulb 5 itself. A heating of the shading hood 14 is substantially prevented by the coating 7, which also makes the direct escape of light from the bulb 5 through the convection slots 24 impossible. Thus, light passes exclusively through the reflector 8 in the respective operating area, ie in dental applications of the surgical light 1 in the oral cavity of the respective patient. This is a glare-free and even Illumination of the operating room reached.

Figure 4 shows the operating light 1 after removing the assembly the splinter protection 15 from the lamp body 2, the reflector 8 and the shading hood 14 of the support 4 for the bulb 5 after loosening the screws 17. In this respect, a variant of the operating light 1 is opposite Figures 1 to 3, as shown here, that here the fastener on the light cover 10 is not Gelenkanguß but a connection piece 27 for a deformable support arm 28, a so-called gooseneck, is. The removable assembly consists of heat-sterilisable materials throughout. It is designed for repeated sterilization at about 135 ° C. The individual components are connected by plug-in or rotary plug-in connections, which are also thermally stable. Preferably, the reflector 8 of the surgical lamp 1 is made of coated glass, while all other components are made of plastics. The transparent splinter protection 15 may be formed of polycarbonate. All other non-transparent components of the detachable assembly may be formed of the same heat-resistant plastic, as well as the invisible locking ring 9 for the reflector in Figure 3 and the support 4 including the light cap 11 for the bulb 5. By providing a second detachable assembly the surgical light 1 can be constantly ready for use. While one of the two modules is sterilized and the other of the two assemblies ensures the operability of the surgical lamp 1. The non-routinely sterilizable parts of the new surgical light are the self-sterilizing light bulb and the parts of the carrier and the light cover protected by the detachable assembly.
