Claims (10)

  1. Device for setting the slab profile of a continuously cast slab, particularly a thin slab (1), wherein requirements given in correspondence with the profile with regard to the dishing and/or wedge-form thereof are determined by the gap geometry of strip guide rollers (2) of a strip guidance system, and these are mounted in individual strip guide segments (3 - 5) in pairs opposite one another at frame parts (10, 9), which are tightened together by setting means (16) via tie rods (8) at their outer end regions and which form a fixed side (7) and a releasable side (6), characterised in that at least one force means (11) is associated with the centre region of the frame parts (10) and is constructed for application of not only tensile forces, but also compressive forces.
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the force means (11) is a hydraulically or pneumatically actuable plunger cylinder.
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the plunger cylinder (11) is actuable in tension or compression to be regulated to travel in both directions.

  5. Device according to one or more of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that individual segments (3 - 5) are received by a support frame (12) connecting them to form the strip guidance system.
