Abstract

Opening the door leaf moves a sliding piece (18) along a guide rail (12) in the leaf or frame, resulting in movement of a snap-fit lever (26) and causing the cooperating spring-loaded ratchet wheel (38) to rotate out of its stopped position, before snapping back into place again and acting as a stop to prevent the leaf accidentally closing. Pressing the lever to disengage it from the ratchet wheel will enable the leaf to close again. The swing arm has one arm pivotably connected to the leaf or frame, and the opposite end is provided with a sliding piece (18) movable in the length direction and housed in a guide rail (12) in the leaf or frame. A holder unit (20) in the guide rail is used to fix the sliding piece and therefore the door leaf into position, and is provided with a ratchet wheel (38) engaging with a resilient snap-fit lever (26) that can be disengaged by applying pressure to it.
