Description
The invention relates to a method for electromagnetic valve control Gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines according to the preamble of the claim 1.
For actuating the gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines, i.e. for generation of the valve lift of the gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines, actuators are used with the gas exchange valves an actuator gas exchange valve system form. The actuators for electromagnetic valve control consist of essentially consisting of two electromagnets (one opening magnet and one closing magnet), which each have at least one excitation coil and a yoke an anchor located between the two electromagnets as well two counter-rotating actuating springs (valve spring, actuator spring). The anchor will by alternately energizing (the excitation coils) the two electromagnets and by the spring forces of the springs between the two electromagnets moved back and forth, with a plunger connected to the anchor this movement transfers to at least one of the gas exchange valves.
In the idle position of the actuator gas exchange valve system (i.e. when de-energized Electromagnet) is the armature of the actuator by means of the springs in a central position held between the two electromagnets; the gas exchange valve is located in a middle position between the valve seat (gas exchange valve closed) and the position of the maximum valve lift (gas exchange valve opened to the maximum). In the operation of the actuator gas exchange valve system are successive Operating cycles with two operating phases each (normally closed, normally open) run through, with the armature of the actuator of one of the two in each operating phase (acting as an output magnet) electromagnet to the other of the two (acting as target magnet) electromagnets moved there and there during a defined period of time is held. Around the anchor in the end position at the target magnet position (holding phase of the armature) is on the excitation coil of the holding magnet a holding current is applied. At the transition to the next operating phase the holding current is switched off (initiation of the movement phase of the armature) and if necessary a catch current to the excitation coil of the target magnet that is functioning in this operating phase Electromagnets applied; consequently the anchor moves due to the spring force of the actuating springs and, if applicable, the magnetic force of the target magnet to the target magnet towards (movement phase of the anchor).
- the target magnet must be supplied with at least that holding current that is required to hold the armature securely at the latest when the armature strikes; since the current takes a certain amount of time to reach this required value due to the magnetic dynamics, it must be switched on before the armature hits. With low friction of the actuator gas exchange valve system, more energy is supplied to the actuator gas exchange valve system than is consumed by friction; this has the consequence that the armature is additionally accelerated and strikes the target magnet too quickly. This leads to a high impact speed of the armature and thus a high mechanical load. Since the holding force of the target magnet generated by the holding current is not sufficient to compensate for the impingement pulse of the armature at a high impact speed of the armature, the armature bounces off; however, increasing the catching current to prevent the armature from bouncing exacerbates the problem of impact.
- If the center position of the armature is offset with respect to the target magnet and / or in the case of certain flow conditions at the gas exchange valve, the armature may also strike the target magnet without additional energy supply. Since the target magnet cannot suddenly reach its holding force, the holding current must be switched on before the armature hits; however, this provides an additional energy supply for the actuator gas exchange valve system, which in turn accelerates the armature and bounces off the target magnet.
The invention is therefore based on the object of being simple, inexpensive and Process for electromagnetic valve control that can be implemented with little effort the gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines with low energy requirements, high operational safety and reliability as well as good dynamic Specify properties.
This object is achieved in a method according to the preamble of claim 1 by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1 solved.
Advantageous refinements of the method result from the further patent claims.
In the method presented, at least one operating phase of an operating cycle from the output magnet and / or from another electromagnet (i.e. from an electromagnet other than the target magnet) in the movement phase of the armature a (briefly) counteracting the movement of the armature Braking pulse generated; i.e. the braking pulse is applied after the release point the armature from the output magnet and before the armature hits the target magnet generated, but preferably at the beginning of the movement phase of the anchor (e.g. immediately after the armature has detached from the output magnet). For Generation of the braking pulse becomes the output magnet (after the removal of the Holding current) or / and the further electromagnet with a current (braking current) applied (or a braking voltage generating the braking current applied); a magnetic force is generated by this braking current, which is due to the Spring forces and the movement that may result in the catching current applied to the target magnet of the armature towards the target magnet. The one generated by the braking pulse Magnetic force is superimposed on the target magnet due to the capture current generated magnetic force so that the resulting magnetic force acting on the armature can be influenced by the braking pulse (braking current).
- The intensity of the braking pulse (i.e. the current strength of the braking current) is specified in particular depending on the gas forces present in the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine: in an operating phase in which the gas exchange valve must be opened against large gas forces (opening phase), a braking pulse with low intensity or even No braking pulse is generated, whereas a braking pulse with high intensity can be generated in an operating phase in which the gas exchange valve is closed (closing phase). The intensity of the braking pulse (ie the current of the braking current generating the braking pulse) can be varied during the duration of the braking pulse, for example. by specifying at least two different levels for the braking current (ie at least two different currents are specified for the braking current during the braking pulse).
- The time course of the braking pulse (the time at which the braking pulse is triggered and the duration of the braking pulse) is predetermined as a function of the movement of the armature between the output magnet and the target magnet, in particular as a function of the distance covered by the armature between the output magnet and the target magnet; in particular, the braking pulse is generated immediately after the armature is detached from the output magnet, ie at the beginning of the armature's movement phase. In this case, the time course of the braking pulse can be coupled to the time course of the holding current in the output magnet and / or to the time course of the catching current in the target magnet, or the switch-on time for the brake pulse is specified independently of the switch-on time of the currents on the target magnet. In particular, however, the time at which the brake pulse is triggered is related to the switch-off time of the holding current in the holding magnet and / or the switch-on time of the catching current in the target magnet, the generation of the braking pulse preferably taking place simultaneously with or after the target magnet is acted upon by the catching current. Furthermore, the (desired or already existing) valve lift of the gas exchange valve can be taken into account when specifying the time course of the brake pulse.
To switch off the braking pulse or to reduce the intensity of the braking pulse can the output magnet acted upon by the braking current or / and the further electromagnet are short-circuited (against the voltage supply clamped) or there may be a negative operating voltage to the output magnet or / and the other electromagnets are applied. I.e. at the The brake pulse can be switched off by the brake pulse in the output magnet or / and energy introduced into the further electromagnet or the energy extracted from the actuator gas exchange valve system by the braking process in the for the voltage supply of the actuator or the actuator gas exchange valve system planned supply network (e.g. in the vehicle electrical system) be fed back. If the braking pulse is caused by the application of the output magnet generated with the braking current, can be applied to the Braking current and for supplying the operating current or for applying the Operating voltage, the same connecting cables are used.
The braking pulse that determines the operating conditions of the actuator gas exchange valve system dependent default values for the braking current (or for the braking voltage generating the braking current) can either only be used for the next operating cycle or for a certain number of subsequent operating cycles be used; As a rule, the default values for the Brake current (or for the brake voltage generating the brake current) as long maintained until the current operating conditions of the actuator gas exchange valve system be determined again and thus a new updated default value for Available.
Since the operating conditions of the two electromagnets of the actuator (opening magnet and closer magnet) can differ greatly from one another, are preferred different default values for the two operating phases of an operating cycle for the braking current (or for the braking voltage generating the braking current) used as the basis for the respective operating phase of one or more subsequent operating cycles.
The default values for the braking current (or for the one generating the braking current Brake voltage) are dependent on the operating conditions of the actuator gas exchange valve system empirically determined and stored (e.g. in a Map stored).
The operational reliability of the Actuator gas exchange valve system increased and its power requirements optimized and its energy consumption can be reduced without additional components or connecting cables are required. In particular, in an actuator gas exchange valve system with little friction the resulting from the catching current Excess energy in the actuator gas exchange valve system can be limited reduces the mechanical load on the target magnet or armature and the armature is prevented from bouncing off the target magnet. Furthermore, the Operating conditions of the actuator gas exchange valve system influencing and Variables causing fluctuations such as Temperature, mechanical wear or varying gas forces are compensated. Can advantageously also a (e.g. within the service life or within a maintenance interval of the internal combustion engine) depending on the operating conditions of the actuator gas exchange valve system effective offset of the center position of the anchor through different influencing of the two operating phases of an operating cycle be compensated.

According to FIG. 1, the actuator gas exchange valve system consists of a counter

The
The two
abgeschaltet.
Ankers 30 in Richtung Öffnermagnet 10 (Zielmagnet) hin aufgehoben.
Ankers 30 in Richtung Schließermagnet 20 (Zielmagnet) hin aufgehoben.
- At time t 0 , a holding current I H is applied to the closing magnet 20 (for example 2.8 A); the
gas exchange valve 2 is closed (closing phase). - At time t 1 , the holding current I H at the closing magnet 20 (output magnet) is switched off. The
armature 30 is then moved by the spring forces of theactuator spring 40 andvalve spring 50 in the direction of the opening magnet 10 (target magnet); thegas exchange valve 2 is opened and the valve stroke s is generated (end of the closing phase, beginning of the opening phase). - At time t 2 (for example 1 ms after switching off the holding current I H at the
closing magnet 20 at time t 1 ), the closing magnet 20 (output magnet) is acted upon by a braking current I B (current strength of the braking current I B, for example 8 A); this slows down or inhibits the movement of thearmature 30 in the direction of the opening magnet 10 (target magnet). - At the time t 3 (for example 0.2 ms after the
closing magnet 20 is acted upon by the braking current I B at the time t 2 , ie the time duration Δt B of the braking pulse is for example 0.2 ms), the braking current I B is switched off again and the inhibition of the Movement of thearmature 30 in the direction of the opening magnet 10 (target magnet) is canceled. - At time t 4 (for example 2.5 ms after switching off the holding current I H at the
closing magnet 20 at the time t 1 and 1.5 ms after the closing current I B has been acted upon by the braking current I B at the time t 2 ), the opening magnet 10 (target magnet) turns on Trapping current I F applied (current strength of the trapping current I F, for example 12 A) and in this way thearmature 30 is drawn toward the opening magnet 10 (target magnet); thegas exchange valve 2 is opened to the maximum, ie, the valve lift s of thegas exchange valve 2 is at a maximum (eg., the maximum valve lift s max 8 mm). - At time t 5 (for example 3.0 ms after applying the catching current I F to the opening
magnet 10 at the time t 4 , ie the time interval for applying the catching current I F is, for example, 3.0 ms), the opening magnet 10 (target magnet) instead of the catching current I F the lower holding current I H applied (current of the holding current I H, for example 3 A); thegas exchange valve 2 remains open to the maximum (opening phase). - At time t 6 (for example, 15 ms after the application of the holding current I H to the opening
magnet 10 at the time t 5 , ie the time interval for application of the holding current I H is 15 ms, for example), the holding current I H at theopening magnet 10 is switched off and theArmature 30 is moved in the direction of closingmagnet 20 by the spring forces ofactuator spring 40 and valve spring 50 (ie opening magnet 10 now functions as an output magnet, closingmagnet 20 as target magnet); this closes the gas exchange valve 2 (end of the opening phase, beginning of the closing phase). - At time t 7 (for example 0.5 ms after switching off the holding current I H at the
opening magnet 10 at time t 6 ), the opening magnet 10 (output magnet) is subjected to a braking current I B (current intensity of the braking current I B, for example 15 A); as a result, the movement of thearmature 30 in the direction of the closing magnet 20 (target magnet) is slowed down or inhibited. - At time t 8 (for example 0.5 ms after the opening current 10 is acted upon by the braking current I B at the time t 7 , ie the time duration Δt B of the braking pulse is for example 0.5 ms), the braking current I B is switched off again and the inhibition of the Movement of the
armature 30 in the direction of the closing magnet 20 (target magnet) is canceled. - At time t 9 (for example 2.5 ms after switching off the holding current I H at the
opening magnet 10 at the time t 6 and 2.0 ms after the opening current 10 has the braking current I B at the time t 7 ), the closing magnet 20 (target magnet) turns on Trapping current I F applied (current strength of the trapping current I F, for example 10 A) and in this way thearmature 30 is drawn toward the closing magnet 20 (target magnet); thegas exchange valve 2 is completely closed, the valve lift s of thegas exchange valve 2 is zero (closing phase). - At time t 10 (for example 3.5 ms after applying the catching current I F to the closing
magnet 20 at the time t 9 , ie the time interval for applying the catching current I F is, for example, 3.5 ms), theclosing magnet 20 instead of the catching current I F becomes the smaller Holding current I H applied (current of the holding current I H, for example 2.8 A); thegas exchange valve 2 remains completely closed (closing phase). - After switching off the holding current I H at the make magnet 20 (end of the make phase), the next operating cycle follows with the two operating phases of the make phase and the make phase (as described above from time t 1 to time t 10 ).
