Description

The present invention relates to an electrical connection cable shielded, of the type comprising a bundle of conducting wires surrounded by a shielding shell and provided at one end with a connector which comprises a body carrying connections to which the conductor wires are connected and a rear connector electrically connected to the shielding casing, which rear connection is traversed by the bundle of conductive wires and is movable along the beam, between a position coupled to the body of the connector, and a disengaged position of the connector body, in which the rear connection is separated from the connector body.

Such shielded connection cables are used in particular in the aeronautical industry to convey information away from disturbances electromagnetic environment.

In order to ensure optimum protection of the conductor wires, it is desirable to establish an electromagnetic continuity between the shielding envelope the wire harness and the connector, especially its connection back.

The shielding envelope is commonly formed of a metallic braid tubular surrounding the bundle of wires. At its end, the metallic braid is mechanically and electrically connected to the rear connection, for example by means of a strapping.

For any intervention on the connector, it is necessary to slide the rear connection of its position coupled with the connector body, up to a position away from the connector body where the rear connection is disposed on the running portion of the wire bundle.

In order to ensure satisfactory protection against disturbances electromagnetic shielding braid has commonly a coefficient of high recovery. Also, the braid is very difficult to deform, so that the sliding of the rear fitting along the wire bundle is frequently accompanied by irreversible deformations of the braid which degrade its electromagnetic protection characteristics.

Le document US-A-4 615 574 montre une combinaison selon le préambule de la reventication 1.If the overlap coefficient of the braid is reduced, which allows an axial deformation of it, it is appropriate that its geometric structure not be modified during the deformations it undergoes. Indeed, its structure geometric fit ensures the conservation of the protective properties electromagnetic. In practice, we see that the geometric structure is generally impaired during deformation of the braid, which reduces its efficiency. US-A-4,615,574 shows a combination according to the preamble of the resurrection 1.

The purpose of the invention is to provide a shielded connection cable comprising a connector whose rear connection can be moved easily to allow access to the inside of the connector, without causing degradation electromagnetic protection characteristics of the envelope shielding the bundle of conductive wires.

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a combination according to claim 1.

  • la gaine de blindage comporte deux tronçons tubulaires successifs reliés l'un à l'autre dans une région de chevauchement ;
  • l'extrémité de la manchette rétractable liée à la gaine de blindage est enserrée entre les tronçons de la gaine de blindage dans la région de chevauchement ;
  • les deux tronçons tubulaires successifs sont des tresses, et, dans la région de chevauchement, la tresse externe présente un angle de tressage supérieur à celui de sa partie courante, et notamment supérieure à 45° ;
  • il comporte dans la région de chevauchement un cerclage extérieur de compression radiale des deux tronçons tubulaires ;
  • l'impédance de transfert de la gaine de blindage est supérieure à 400 mΩ.m-1 à 30 MHz;
  • la gaine de blindage et la manchette rétractable comportent chacune une tresse de blindage tubulaire, le coefficient de recouvrement de la tresse de la manchette rétractable étant inférieur au coefficient de recouvrement de la tresse de la gaine de blindage ;
  • la gaine de blindage comporte une tresse dont le coefficient de recouvrement est supérieur à 0,7 ;
  • la manchette rétractable comporte une tresse dont le coefficient de recouvrement est compris entre 0,3 et 0,7 et est avantageusement sensiblement égal à 0,5 ;
According to particular embodiments, the invention comprises one or more of the following features:
  • the shielding sheath comprises two successive tubular sections connected to one another in an overlapping region;
  • the end of the retractable sleeve connected to the shielding sheath is clamped between the sections of the shielding sheath in the overlap region;
  • the two successive tubular sections are braids, and in the overlap region, the outer braid has a braiding angle greater than that of its current portion, and in particular greater than 45 °;
  • it comprises in the overlapping region an outer hoop of radial compression of the two tubular sections;
  • the transfer impedance of the shielding sheath is greater than 400 mΩ.m -1 at 30 MHz;
  • the shielding sheath and the retractable sleeve each comprise a tubular shielding braid, the overlap coefficient of the braid of the retractable sleeve being lower than the coating coefficient of the braid of the shielding sheath;
  • the shielding sheath has a braid with a recovery coefficient greater than 0.7;
  • the retractable sleeve comprises a braid whose coefficient of coverage is between 0.3 and 0.7 and is advantageously substantially equal to 0.5;
  • the end of the retractable sleeve connected to the rear connection surrounds it, and a strapping ensures their mechanical connection; and
  • the length of the retractable sleeve is adapted for an axial displacement of the rear connection of between 3 and 12 cm and advantageously substantially equal to 8 cm.

The invention will be better understood on reading the description which will follow, given only by way of example and with reference to the figures 1 and 2 which are elevational views with partial tearing of a cable according to the invention in which the rear connection is respectively in position coupled to the connector body and in the uncoupled position.

In Figures 1 and 2 is shown a same end section a shielded connection cable 10. This comprises a bundle 12 of wires conductors, an electrical connector 14 and a shielding casing 16 surrounding, from the connector 14, the beam 12 over its entire length.

The connector 14 comprises a connector body 22 carrying a set of connection pins 24 to which the ends are connected 18. It further comprises a rear connection 26 engaged around the bundle 12 of conducting wires.

The rear connector 26 is intended to be mechanically coupled to the connector body 22. It is slidably movable along the beam 12 between a position coupled to the connector body 22, shown in Figure 1, where it protects the end of the bundle of conductive wires connected to the pins 24, and an uncoupled position, shown in Figure 2, where the rear connector 26 is away from the connector body 22, thus releasing access to the ends of the conductive wires. The connection 26 is made of a suitable material for electromagnetic protection wires passing through it.

Comme représenté sur la figure 1, lorsque le raccord arrière 26 est accouplé au corps 22 du connecteur, le rubanage 20 est interrompu à l'intérieur du raccord arrière 26.As shown in FIG. 1, when the rear coupling 26 is coupled to the body 22 of the connector, the taping 20 is interrupted at the inside of the rear connector 26.

The shielding envelope 16 comprises a tubular electromagnetic shielding sheath 28 surrounding the taping 20. It consists of a metal braid whose transfer impedance is less than 400 mΩ.m -1 at 30 MHz. It has a high recovery coefficient, advantageously greater than 0.7. The shielding sheath 28 is adapted for electromagnetic shielding of the bundle 12 of conducting wires. It is therefore very little deformable axially.

Ce serrage est obtenu par exemple lors du tressage du tronçon 28A directement autour du tronçon 28BThe main section 28A and the end section 28B of the sheath shielding are connected to each other electrically and mechanically in a first region of overlap 30. In this region having a length of 3 to 5 cm, the end portion 28A of the bundle of conductive wires is surrounded and covered by the main section 28A. The link is performed by mechanical clamping of the section 28A around the end of the section 28B. This tightening is obtained for example when braiding the section 28A directly around section 28B

L'extrémité de la manchette rétractable 32 y est maintenue par un cerclage métallique 36.In addition, the shielding envelope 16 includes a retractable sleeve 32 which surrounds the shielding sheath 28 over part of its length. It is electrically connected at one end to the rear connector 26 and at its other end to the shielding sheath 28, outside the fitting 26. In particular, the retractable sleeve 32 is engaged at its end connecting to the rear connection 26, around a cylindrical section 34 of it. The end of the retractable sleeve 32 is maintained there by a metal strapping 36.

At its other end, the retractable sleeve 32 is enclosed in a second overlapping region 37, between the main section 28A of the shielding sheath and its end portion 28B. She is kept there by mechanical clamping of the main section 28A around the end of the cuff 32 and the end portion 28B. For this purpose, the main section 28A is provided at its end with a re-entrant hem 38. In the region of the latter, the braiding angle is greater than that of the current part of the main section 28A in order to increase the clamping force ensuring the restraint of the retractable sleeve 32. Advantageously, the braiding angle is greater than 45 °. A metal strapping can be added in the second overlapping region 37 to improve the mechanical connection.

Les liaisons de la manchette rétractable 32 au raccord arrière 26 et à la gaine 28 assure une liaison électrique du raccord arrière 26 et de la gaine de blindage 28.The links of the retractable sleeve 32 to the rear connector 26 and to the sheath 28 provides an electrical connection of the rear connector 26 and the sheath shielding 28.

The recovery coefficient is advantageously between 0.3 and 0.7 and is preferably about 0.5.

Elle autorise ainsi un grand débattement axial du raccord arrière 26.Thus, as shown in Figure 2. when compressed axially, the diameter of the sleeve 32 increases. She folds and presents on the surface a festooned profile. It thus allows a large deflection axial of the rear connector 26.

With such a shielded connection cable, it is understood that when the rear connector is spaced from the connector body, as shown on the 2, the rear connection 26 extends around the end section 28B of the shielding sheath. The retractable sleeve 32 is compressed axially by radial deformation in the form of a tube of larger diameter. This deformation is made possible due to the low coefficient of recovery of the braid constituting it.

Elle n'est donc pas endommagée lors des interventions sur le connecteur 14.When moving the rear connector 26, the shielding sheath 28, both in its main section 28A and in its section 28B end remains without deformation. It is not damaged during interventions on the connector 14.

The electromagnetic performance specified for the cable is therefore provided by main section 28A to the first area of overlap 30 and is relayed at low frequencies (frequencies lower than about 300 kHz) by the conductive sleeve 32 and at high frequencies (frequencies greater than 300 kHz) by the end section 28B having an electromagnetic performance identical to that of the section principal 28A.

The conductive sleeve 32 can then be manipulated without no degradation of electromagnetic performance specified low and high frequencies do not appear, even if mechanical deformation crippling of the cuff occurs.
