Definitions
- the invention relates to a particular way of displaying an article, such as a toy weapon and especially a toy pistol, while eliminating the risk of someone easily and furtively stealing the toy weapon from the display support.
- the basic subject of the invention is a display support for an article such as a toy weapon, especially for a toy pistol, which comprises a small panel that can be hung up; the panel has two bracket-shaped hooks on which the article to be displayed can be placed; a tie fastens the article to the panel so that it cannot be removed from the panel.
- the tie is flexible, encircles the article and passes through the panel via two adjacent holes formed in the latter.
- Said tie can be made of synthetic resin and has a slide tightening system that slides in one direction only, said tie having to be cut to allow the article to be removed.
- the numeral 1 denotes a small panel of any shape with means that allow it to be hung up, such as a hole 3 positioned at the top of the panel.
- the panel has in particular two hooks 5 which project out from the front face of the panel in order to form a housing able to accommodate and support the article to be displayed in the desired position, this article being in particular a toy pistol as indicated by P and the dashed lines in the drawing.
- the dimensions of the panel can even be smaller than those of the article to be displayed, for example such that on one side the barrel and on the other side the butt of the toy pistol placed on the hooks 5, project beyond the edge of the panel.
- a flexible tie 7 is used, for example one made from flexible synthetic resin, and is placed so that it encircles the article around a narrow part of its cross section, the tie then being attached to the panel 1.
- the panel has two holes 9 and 10, positioned suitably close together, which allow the tie 7 to pass through; the tie is closed in a loop precisely so as to prevent the article being displayed from being lifted from or at any rate pulled off the panel support 1.
- the tie 7 can be formed with a terminal head 7A which allows the opposite end 7B of said tie to slide through it, and also with a toothed configuration which allows the tie to slide in the direction of closure of the loop - which is formed by the tie itself - in the direction of the arrow f7, while preventing it from sliding in the opposite direction.
- the tie has to be cut. Once the tie has been cut, the support 3, 5 remains intact and can be used to support the item when it is not being used.
- the device is particularly practical as far as packaging is concerned, enables the object on display to be examined comfortably, ensures adequate protection against theft, offers the option of being able to use the support subsequently as a means on which to rest the item when it is not being used and is cheap to manufacture.
Abstract
Description
- The invention relates to a particular way of displaying an article, such as a toy weapon and especially a toy pistol, while eliminating the risk of someone easily and furtively stealing the toy weapon from the display support.
- The solution in question allows a potential purchaser to examine the article displayed easily and exhaustively and enables the toy weapon to be attached to the support in a very practical manner, both of these features being in addition to considerable savings in terms of costs.
- These and other objects and advantages will become evident from the following text.
- The drawing shows a possible embodiment of the invention and in particular:
- Fig. 1 shows a front view of the display support in question, with dashed lines indicating the article displayed, for example a toy pistol or the like;
- Figs 2 and 3 show two cross sections taken on II-II and III-III of Fig. 1; and
- Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of the back of the support.
-
- With reference to the illustration in the appended drawing, the
numeral 1 denotes a small panel of any shape with means that allow it to be hung up, such as ahole 3 positioned at the top of the panel. The panel has in particular twohooks 5 which project out from the front face of the panel in order to form a housing able to accommodate and support the article to be displayed in the desired position, this article being in particular a toy pistol as indicated by P and the dashed lines in the drawing. The dimensions of the panel can even be smaller than those of the article to be displayed, for example such that on one side the barrel and on the other side the butt of the toy pistol placed on thehooks 5, project beyond the edge of the panel. - In order to fasten the article to the panel a
flexible tie 7 is used, for example one made from flexible synthetic resin, and is placed so that it encircles the article around a narrow part of its cross section, the tie then being attached to thepanel 1. To this end the panel has twoholes tie 7 to pass through; the tie is closed in a loop precisely so as to prevent the article being displayed from being lifted from or at any rate pulled off thepanel support 1. - In practice the
tie 7 can be formed with aterminal head 7A which allows theopposite end 7B of said tie to slide through it, and also with a toothed configuration which allows the tie to slide in the direction of closure of the loop - which is formed by the tie itself - in the direction of the arrow f7, while preventing it from sliding in the opposite direction. In this way, in order to separate the article P from thepanel support 1 to which it is attached, the tie has to be cut. Once the tie has been cut, thesupport - The device is particularly practical as far as packaging is concerned, enables the object on display to be examined comfortably, ensures adequate protection against theft, offers the option of being able to use the support subsequently as a means on which to rest the item when it is not being used and is cheap to manufacture.
