Description

  • The subject of the invention is an item of clothing in general and, more specifically, a pair of pants which offer particular advantages in terms of comfort and also of hygiene, advantages not offered by conventional garments.
  • According to the invention, portions of the component parts of a pair of pants - designed especially for use in the summer - are made from fabrics which are highly permeable to air - net-like in practice - in order to create currents of air between the outside and the inside.
  • Portions of permeable fabric are present in the crotch area.
  • One or more or all of the pockets can be made from permeable fabric.
  • The permeable fabric in the crotch area, i.e. in the groin area, can be shaped into two triangular portions which are markedly elongated along the inner longitudinal seams of the legs, their relatively short bases being positioned along the crotch seam; in particular, the bases of the triangular portions can extend at least predominantly along the front of the garment and at all events such that they can be seen as little as possible from the outside.
  • The drawing shows a possible embodiment of the invention and more specifically:
  • Figs. 1 and 2 show partial views of the front face and rear face of the pants according to the invention;
  • Fig. 3 is a diagrammatic cross section on III-III in Fig. 1;
  • Figs. 4 and 5 show local cross sections on IV-IV and V-V in Fig. 3;
  • Figs. 6 and 7 show enlarged local sections on VI-VI in Fig. 4 and on VII-VII in Fig. 5; and
  • Figs. 8 and 9 show a section on the broken line VIII-VIII in Fig. 1 and a sectional view on IX-IX in Fig. 8.
  • As illustrated in the appended drawing of a pair of pants as illustrated, the reference 1 denotes the waistband and the reference 3 denotes the conventional tubular legs of the pants. As is usual, the pants have two side pockets at the front, the pouch parts of which are denoted 5A and the access openings of which are denoted 5B. As is usual, the pants may also have one or two rear pockets, the pouch parts of which are denoted 7A and the access openings of which are denoted 7B. The numeral 9 is the general reference for the so-called crotch seam, which is the seam joining together the two symmetrical parts of the pants above the legs 3; the closure 9A extends along the crotch seam 9 at the front and can be of many various types, including sliding fasteners known as "zippers", buttons, or other means.
  • Characteristically, according to the invention, the pouch parts 5A of the front pockets and/or the pouch parts 7A of the rear pockets have a net-like structure which is consequently permeable to air but still capable of securely holding the contents of the pockets. A further characteristic can involve forming a portion of net-like structure along the lower part of the crotch seam; this net-like structure along the lower portion of the crotch seam consists of two net-like portions, denoted 11, which extend symmetrically in the form of elongated triangular areas along the inner longitudinal seams 3X of the legs 3 of the pants, their narrow bases being joined together along the crotch seam 9 as indicated by 11B. The two triangular areas 11 are preferably shaped so that they project out slightly toward the lower end of the closure 9A and are virtually invisible when the pants are being worn.
  • This design offers the possibility of having ventilation inside the pants, allowing air to enter via the bottom ends of the legs 3 of the pants as indicated by the arrows f3 in Fig. 1, while air can also enter and/or exit through the net-like structures 11 in the crotch area and/or through the net-like structures of the pouch parts 5A and 7A of the pockets and through the openings 5B and 7B of said pockets, this being possible even when the pockets contain objects which tend to push the sides of the pocket pouch apart, but without completely blocking off their permeability to air. Ventilation takes place in a predominantly upward movement.
  • The comfort afforded by a design such as the one described has been shown in tests and user trials, while the esthetics of a garment constructed in this way are also essentially assured.

Claims (6)

  1. A hygienic and comfortable pair of pants, designed especially for use in the summer, characterized in that portions of its component parts are made from fabrics which are highly permeable to air - net-like practically - in order to create currents of air between the outside and the inside.
  2. A pair of pants as in claim 1, characterized in that they comprise portions (11) of permeable fabric in the crotch area.
  3. A pair of pants as in claim 1, characterized in that one or more or all of the pockets (5, 7) are made from permeable fabric.
  4. A pair of pants as in claim 2, characterized in that the permeable fabric (11) in the crotch (groin) area is shaped into two triangular portions which are markedly elongated along the inner longitudinal seams (3X) of the legs, their relatively short bases (11B) being positioned along the crotch seam, such that they can be seen as little as possible from the outside.
  5. A pair of pants as in claim 4, characterized in that the bases of the triangular portions (11) extend at least predominantly along the front of the garment.
  6. A pair of pants with ventilation for hygienic comfort; all as described above and as illustrated by way of example in the appended drawing.
