Bei einer Stromwendevorrichtung für elektrische Maschinen mit einem aus Lamellen (12) zusammengesetzten Kommutator (10) und mit im wesentlichen radial zur Kommutatorachse (18) ausgerichteten Bürsten (11), die mit Aufpreßdruck auf dem Außenmantel des Kommutators (10) aufsitzen, ist zur Dämpfung der Bürstenschwingungen im Betrieb der Maschine der Außenmantel des Kommutators (10) konkav geformt.
