Abstract

Procédé servant à déterminer le rapport des coefficients d'absorption absolus νa(μ2) et νa(μ1) d'un milieu diffusant la lumière à deux longueurs d'onde différentes, ce qui consiste: (a) à faire passer la lumière (définie ici) à travers le milieu; (b) à mesurer une caractéristique X de la lumière à deux longueurs d'ondes μ1 et μ2 affectée par le coefficient d'absorption pendant son passage à travers le milieu; (c) à effectuer des modifications Δνa(μ1) et Δνa(μ2) dans les coefficients d'absorption aux deux longueurs d'onde; (d) à recommencer l'étape (b); (e) à déterminer le rapport des coefficients d'absorption absolus aux deux longueurs d'ondes à partir desdites modifications ou à partir de quantités représentant lesdites modifications, à partir de la caractéristique X et à partir du rapport des coefficients de diffusion de transport du milieu νa'(μ1) et νa'(μ2) aux deux longueurs d'onde.
