Abstract

A web- or sheet-like material consists of ≥ 2 layers and has an embossed pattern which comprises a number of separate embossed points. The embossed areas are, at least in part, flat areas (24,25,26,27) which each overlap, at least in part, with ≥ 1 additional flat area. The shape and/or the size is selected in such a way that a tearing of the layers in the peripheral sections of the flat areas is avoided.

Description

The invention relates to a sheet or sheet Material from at least two layers, with an embossed pattern, that from a multitude of individual, the layers across Layer deforming and connecting with each other There are impressions, which are each based on the two outer layers sunk inwards Minting areas that are at least partially transverse to the layer direction overlap, are formed.

A web-like material consisting of several layers is conventionally connected by the layers between two rollers are brought, of which at least a the impressions in the sheet material brings, with these impressions usually through Positive locking, but also through chemical-physical measures, connection points are established. That so The resulting web-like material can then, if necessary be treated further, e.g. B. to the known hygiene tissue get cut.

A distinction is made between the wild embossing processes, where an embossing roller against a smooth counter roller runs, which may have an elastic coating having. A matrix roller runs in the Union embossing and a patroller roller against each other and generate by the resulting embossing connects the web-shaped Materials. Both in the wild as well as in the Union coinage are the impressions on one side of the web-shaped material directed inwards and concave protrude convexly from the other side. These convex raised areas give the embossed Material have a rough character and should therefore be avoided become.

Figure 00020001
zurücklegen müssen, wie beispielsweise für die Bahnen 41 und 44 angegeben, was einen unterschiedlichen Einzug der einzelnen Lagen nach sich zieht.FIG. 4 shows a sectional view through a cellulose cloth 40 which consists of four webs 41, 42, 43, 44, which are connected to one another at the embossing 45 by the wild embossing process. In addition to the already mentioned emergence of a concave elevation from the surface 46 of the layer 44, the problem additionally arises that the individual layers 41, 42, 43, 44 have different flow paths 47, 47
Figure 00020001
must travel, as indicated for example for the lanes 41 and 44, which results in a different indentation of the individual layers.

The problem of the concave raised embossing points is with the head-to-head embossing processes disclosed in DE 94 06 026 U1 solved in that from the opposing embossing rollers raised embossed knobs are formed on the layers of, for example, a cellulose cloth 50, as in Figure 5 shown, concave stamping points curved inwards 56 form that with each other transversely to the position swear. In the bottom areas of these embossing points 56 the layers 51, 52, 53, 54 of the sheet material connected by the embossing effect. This method gives the sheet material on both sides a smooth look. Still remains the problem of different flow paths between the individual layers, as is shown in FIG Cellulose tissue 50, for example for the webs 51 and 54 is indicated by 55 and 55 ', respectively.

The processes using stamping points limit the optical design of the surface structure of the train or sheet material strongly.

It is the object of the present invention, a web or to provide sheet material at to which the individual layers are connected by embossing, with a diverse design of the surfaces secure cohesion of the layers should be possible.

This task is accomplished by the sheet or sheet material solved according to claim 1. Advantageous configurations are the subject of the subclaims.

According to the invention it is provided that the embossing areas at least are partially flat areas that are transverse to Layer direction with at least one more each overlap the area at least partially. The connection the individual layers takes place in the invention may differ due to small overlapping areas large flat areas by appropriate on the embossing surfaces provided for the material be abandoned. The embossing surfaces and thus the flat ones Areas can be designed practically as desired, so that on different designs of the web to be embossed Material consideration can be taken. So far with surface embossing no permanent connection of layers a sheet material has been achieved. Only with the overlapping areas provided according to the invention can an embossed surface structure can be achieved, with the most diverse when the layers are well together Decors are possible. In addition, the different Flow path of the individual webs through appropriate arrangement of the flat areas minimized.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention the size and / or shape of the flat areas depending selected from the flow behavior of the layer material so that a Tear the layers in the peripheral areas of the flat Areas is avoided.

Another advantage is that extending across the material Strip areas of equal width cover the total area the overlapping areas of the flat areas in the essentially constant. This will make it even Flow behavior achieved in all layers. To do this are preferred on the two embossing forms which may differ large embossing areas arranged so that they can be printed on each Embossing mold are distributed in approximately the same proportions.

The layers of the sheet or sheet material can consist of plastic or cellulose, and at least the Embossing areas can be provided with an adhesive.

In Figure 1 is a greatly enlarged schematic Cut a hygienic cellulose tissue crosswise shown for the layer direction between two embossing dies 19 and 20. The hygiene tissue consists of four layers 15, 16, 17 and 18 lying one on top of the other, between the dies 19 and 20 are drawn. The Embossing mold 19 has a large embossing surface 24, the three small stamping surfaces 25, 26 and 27 on the stamping mold 20 face each other. With a certain contact pressure, the large embossing surface 24 on the four layers 15, 16, 17 and 18 and created by the participation of the three small stamping surfaces 25, 26 and 27 areas overlapping as connecting points, designated 22, 28, 29 and 30 on the Locations. The overlapping areas 22, 28, 29 and 30 lie thereby deeper than the raised surface 23 or 23 'of the Cellulose cloth. Compared to layers 16 and 17 must layers 15 and 18 cover a longer flow path. The resulting different layer indentation is indicated with the dimension arrow 21 or 21 '. The Flow behavior of the individual layers 15, 16, 17 and 18 to one another and thus the layer feed 21 or 21 'can optimize in the design of the embossing surfaces so that can be prevented that the layers on or next to the Tear off or tear off embossing surfaces, for example at 35. This positive effect is special with the embossing surface 24 clearly recognizable by the layers facing her 15 and 16 have a significantly smaller flow path as if instead of the embossing surface 24 several embossing knobs, as according to the methods of the prior art, would be provided. The more even the surface pressure is the overlapping areas such as 22, 28, 29, 30, the flat areas or the embossing areas, such as 24, 25, 26, 27, the more the layer adhesion can be improved become. The contact surfaces have proven to be optimal 36 and 37 of embossing molds, schematically in Figure 3 shown in the axial direction of the dies to design that along the contact surface 36, 37 of the two stamping dies, which are usually stamping cylinders, is approximately the same at all possible positions. This means an even surface pressure on the individual projection planes 38 and 39 through the Embossing surfaces are formed and thus an even one Squeezing the individual layers, since it is avoided that some embossed surfaces too much, others only little to be squeezed. The degree of crushing can predetermined by the distance 34 of the two embossing dies become. This specification depends on the connection principle to be hit. When connecting the layers through Form-fit, the distance 34 is usually set smaller than with a chemical-physical compound, for example an adhesive connection using adhesive.

The optimization mentioned above nevertheless allows one free design of the embossing surfaces, with which a more flat Appearance of the material to be embossed is achieved as can be seen, for example, in FIG. There is a schematic plan view of a section a multi-layer cellulose cloth 31 shown, which means large and small embossing surfaces was produced. The dash-dotted line 32 indicates the contour that through a large embossing area, such as the embossing area 24 in Figure 1, is caused by the contour of smaller Stamping surfaces, such as 25, 26, 27 in Figure 1, evoked Embossing is by means of the dash-dotted line 33 shown.

With the invention it is possible to use sheet-like materials, for example plastic films, cellulose webs or the like by chemical and / or physical application or to emboss a positive connection. In order to can on the surface of the sheet material Structures of flat character are generated. The embossing points are only arched inwards, so that the thickness of the embossed material depends only on the thickness of the individual layers.

The in the above description, in the drawing as well as features of the invention disclosed in the claims can be used individually or in any combination be essential for the implementation of the invention.
