Description
The invention relates to a packaging for a dental X-ray film, which is a dental X-ray film, light protection cover with two pull tabs and an x-ray protective cover with one against x-rays protective lead foil.
Packaging of the above type is the subject of DE-A-44 46 247. In the explained in this document Packaging is the light protection cover with the dental X-ray film arranged in an easy-to-open X-ray protective cover. This also contains the required lead foil. This packaging ensures that the X-ray protective cover with the lead foil used again and again can be, so that only the light protection cover after the X-ray must be disposed of. Recycling the X-ray protective cover however presupposes that they are like All dental sets are in liquid after each use disinfected and then in an autoclave is sterilized, which is often perceived as annoying becomes.
With the US-A-5,170,423 is a folded light protection cover given paper for an X-ray film, the Light protection cover in a protruding tab a lead foil records. The entire arrangement is in one sided welded plastic sheath used has a tear tab.
The invention is based on the problem of packaging the above type so that it is convenient to handle and is inexpensive to manufacture and the amount of material to be disposed of after each use remains as low as possible.
This problem is solved according to the invention in that the light protection cover made of a moisture-resistant Material exists and the X-ray protective cover by a provided on one side surface of the light protection cover, generated by an additional wall surface, after a Side open pocket of the Light protection cover is formed.
Such packaging is very inexpensive to manufacture, because it consists of only three layers of material. Two of them are connected to each other and enclose the dental X-ray film in a light-tight manner. The third Material layer forms the pocket for the lead foil. In her you can insert the lead foil before each X-ray and remove them after the X-ray. This means that the lead foil can be used again and again, so that only the light protection cover with the attached to it Bag must be disposed of. It is also possible insert several lead foils into the bag if one wishes a particularly high level of radiation protection.
Contact with the lead when inserting the lead foil in the pocket and when taking out after an x-ray can be prevented in a simple manner by that the lead foil in a temperature and liquid resistant Wrapping made of plastic is included, polypropylene, for example, as the material for this covering is particularly advantageous because it is the Autoclaving tolerates the necessary temperatures. The wrapping can be used as a bag or as a coating from one temperature-resistant plastic.
It is particularly advantageous if according to another Development of the invention, the outer wall surface of the bag for the lead foil made of a transparent material consists. This allows you to recognize with your eyes which side the lead foil is, so that with a X-ray ensures that the lead foil is on the side facing away from the x-ray machine.
The packaging can be produced particularly cost-effectively, if it is made of polyethylene or polypropylene.
Opening the light protection cover is particularly easy, if molded on it in a known manner pull tabs are. These tear tabs can according to one particular advantageous development of the invention Get dual function and also serve the to form a pocket open to one side. For this can a preferred embodiment is characterized by that the tear tabs against a side surface of the Light protection cover turned over and to form the bag are connected to the side surface on two sides.
Alternatively, however, it is also possible for the tear-open tabs to opposite side surfaces of the light protection cover turned over and to form the bag on two Pages are connected to the respective side surface. This creates two opposite sides one pocket open at the top. This has one the possibility in the non-lead film Pocket to insert a second x-ray film, see above that the packaging according to the invention also for double shots can be used.
