Description

The invention relates to electrical connection terminals.

We already know such terminals that include a threaded rod in which is formed a radial channel crossing it right through, this channel being designed to receive the stripped end of the electrical cable to be connected, a nut being engaged on the threaded rod of the screw to immobilize by tightening the stripped end portion received in the radial channel of the screw.

We also know, from DE 69 937 C, a connection terminal electric comprising a body having, from one end, a rod threaded then a first smooth portion whose external diameter corresponds substantially to the external diameter of the thread of the threaded rod and finally a second smooth portion of larger diameter, the connection between the two portions smooth forming a shoulder, an axial drilling being practiced in the rod threaded, this axial bore opening into an inclined bore opening out each of its two ends by a hole, one of which is included in the rod threaded and the other is included in the first smooth portion. The terminal described also includes a nut having an annular collar projecting from a end. The axial hole and the angled hole are designed to receive a electric cable whose stripped end comes out through the hole in the first portion smooth, then is wound on the shoulder existing between the two smooth portions, the portion of the wire thus wound up being tightened by the nut between its end face set back from the collar and shoulder, the collar used to secure the tightness of the connection.

The invention aims to improve this kind of connection terminal.

To this end, it proposes an electrical connection terminal, comprising a screw having a threaded rod in which is formed a channel adapted to receive an end portion of an electrical cable, and comprising a nut adapted to cooperate with said threaded rod for immobilizing by clamping said end portion received in said channel, with the latter which has an axial section and a radial section which are connected to each other,
characterized in that said threaded rod has a groove into which opens said radial section by its zone furthest from the free end of the threaded rod, this groove making it possible to accommodate the piece of cable which leaves the radial section of the channel or which fit into this one.

Thanks to a channel thus arranged, the terminal according to the invention offers increased possibilities of arrangement of the electric cable vis-à-vis the terminal by providing excellent quality support for the end portion of the cable.

The groove accommodates the piece of cable that comes out of the section radial of the channel or which enters it, so that the finish is excellent quality, even if the user has stripped the cable a little more large than necessary.

In a first preferred embodiment, said axial section is coaxial with said threaded rod.

In this embodiment, the cable can be arranged coaxially to the connection terminal and its stripped end portion can come out of the screw through the radial section of the channel and then be surrounded on the outer wall of the screw before being immobilized by tightening by means of the nut.

We thus benefit both from the possibility of placing the cable coaxially to the terminal and qualities of a connection made by a screwing element, and this with an excellent quality finish since can completely prevent the cable from coming out of the connection terminal level of the tightening zone by means of the nut.

It is also possible, in this embodiment, to arrange the electric cable radially, by bringing in the end portion of the cable by the radial section of the channel and by accommodating the possible surplus of this portion end in the axial section.

According to preferred characteristics of this first mode of embodiment, said coaxial section has, from the free end of said threaded rod, at least one portion adapted to receive a non-stripped portion of said cable.

Thus, in the case where the cable is arranged coaxially to the terminal, it it is possible to fit a small non-stripped part of the cable into this channel, which provides excellent cable positioning vis-à-vis the terminal.

According to other preferred characteristics of this first mode of embodiment, said coaxial section has a converging portion in which opens out said radial section.

This converging part facilitates the passage of the end portion of the cable from the axial part to the radial part or vice versa.

In a second preferred embodiment, said axial section of the channel is offset.

  • ledit tronçon axial du canal s'ouvre au travers de la paroi latérale de la tige filetée ;
  • ledit canal présente plusieurs tronçons axiaux excentrés similaires régulièrement répartis sur le plan angulaire ;
According to preferred characteristics of this second embodiment, in particular for reasons of convenience both in manufacturing and in use:
  • said axial section of the channel opens through the side wall of the threaded rod;
  • said channel has several similar eccentric axial sections regularly distributed on the angular plane;
  • said eccentric axial section is extended in a foot that includes said screw beyond said threaded rod; and or
  • said channel has four eccentric axial sections and two radial sections, each of which opens at each end into a respective axial section.

According to other preferred characteristics, the radial section opens out out of the threaded rod through a flat.

This flat avoids the sharp edges which would exist at the intersection between a thread and a cylinder opening transversely, these sharp edges being likely to cut the piece of the cable leaving or re-entering the radial section.

According to other preferred characteristics, the screw comprises a shoulder which borders said threaded rod and which is tangent to the part of the lateral surface of the radial section which is furthest from the free end of the threaded rod.

This shoulder allows to have directly on the screw of the counter surface on which the nut tightens the cable.

According to other preferred characteristics, said rod and said nut include captive means to prevent releasing the nut vis-à-vis of the stem.

In a first embodiment of the capturing means, these comprise:
  • on the rod, a part of external diameter smaller than the diameter at the bottom of the thread of the threaded part, the latter extending between the free end of the rod and the part of smaller external diameter, over a predetermined length; and
  • on the nut, a groove formed in the thread, said groove having a diameter greater than the diameter at the bottom of the thread of the thread and having a length greater than the length of the threaded part of the rod.

It will be observed that such means of imperceptibility are suitable also for other types of screw and nut systems than the electrical connections.

In a second preferred embodiment of the means of imperdability, these include a member crushed at the free end of said rod.

According to other preferred characteristics, said nut includes means for limiting the torque applied to its tapped part.

Selon un mode de réalisation préféré des moyens pour limiter le couple, ceux-ci comportent des godrons complémentaires ménagés respectivement sur un corps d'écrou sur lequel est ménagé la partie taraudée et sur une garniture qui forme la paroi latérale de l'écrou, avec ledit corps et ladite garniture qui sont guidés en rotation l'un par rapport à l'autre mais accouplés en rotation par la coopération desdits godrons, au moins l'un desdits corps et garniture étant adapté à se déformer pour permettre à leurs dits godrons de glisser les uns sur les autres lorsqu'il s'exerce un couple supérieur à une valeur prédéterminée entre la garniture et le corpsAccording to a preferred embodiment of the means for limiting the couple, these include complementary gadroons formed respectively on a nut body on which the tapped part is formed and on a gasket which forms the side wall of the nut, with said body and said packing which are guided in rotation relative to each other but coupled in rotation by the cooperation of said gadroons, at least one of said bodies and lining being adapted to deform to allow their so-called gadroons to slip on each other when a torque greater than a value is exerted predetermined between the trim and the body

Thus, when the limit torque is exceeded, there is uncoupling between the lining and the body so that no torque greater than the limit torque is only transmitted to the threaded part of the nut.

De préférence :

  • ledit corps est métallique et ladite garniture en matière plastique ;
Preferably:
  • said body is metallic and said trim made of plastic;
  • said body and said lining comprise, for one, an annular groove and for the other, a complementary annular bead; and or
  • said body and said lining comprise means of assembly to one another by snap-fastening.

It will be observed that such a torque limiting nut can be used elsewhere. than in an electrical connection terminal.

According to other preferred characteristics, said threaded rod and said nut comprise means so that the nut is self-locking on the rod.

This avoids untimely loosening of the terminal, due for example to vibrations.

The connection terminal which has just been exposed can be used in many areas, for example on loudspeakers and amplifiers of high fidelity channels or so to connect an element luminescent tube terminal to its high power cable voltage.

The invention also relates to such a tube end element luminescent, provided with means for connection to an electric cable supply comprising a base attached to a closed end of a envelope that comprises said terminal element and a nut terminal installed in said base, characterized in that said nut terminal conforms to the connection terminal described above.

According to preferred characteristics, for reasons of simplicity and convenience both in manufacturing and in assembly:
  • the screw of said terminal comprises, beyond the threaded rod, a foot adapted to be fixed on said base and to be connected to a conductive wire leaving said terminal end, and preferably said foot comprises a converging recess, starting from the the free end of said foot, towards a blind hole oriented coaxially while a tapped hole is formed between the blind hole and the side wall of said foot; and or
  • said foot and said base have mutual angular positioning means.

  • la figure 1 est une vue en élévation montrant, séparés les uns des autres, un élément terminal de tube luminescent, un câble d'alimentation électrique devant être raccordé à cet élément et un capuchon pour protéger le zone de jonction entre l'élément terminal et le câble d'alimentation, une fois leur raccordement effectué ;

  • FIG. 16 is a view similar to FIG. 3 for a variant of the luminescent tube end element equipped with the screw and the nut shown in FIGS. 12 to 15;
  • Figure 17 is a similar view for another variant of the terminal element, which has a different screw; and
  • FIGS. 18 and 19 are views similar to FIGS. 9 and 10 for the screw of the terminal element illustrated in FIG. 17.

L'ensemble montré sur la figure 1 comporte un élément terminal 1 de tube luminescent, un capuchon de protection 2 et un câble d'alimentation électrique 3.The assembly shown in FIG. 1 comprises a terminal element 1 of luminescent tube, protective cap 2 and power cable electric 3.

L'élément 1 comporte une enveloppe en verre 4 en forme de doigt de gant dont l'extrémité fermée se trouve à droite sur les figures 1 à 3 et en haut sur les autres dessins, des moyens de raccordement 5 au câble 3, disposés sur l'extrémité fermée de l'enveloppe 4, et une électrode métallique 6 disposée dans l'enveloppe 4 et reliée électriquement aux moyens de raccordement 5.Element 1 has a glass envelope 4 in the shape of a finger glove with the closed end on the right in figures 1 to 3 and above in the other drawings, connection means 5 to the cable 3, arranged on the closed end of the casing 4, and a metal electrode 6 disposed in the casing 4 and electrically connected to the connection means 5.

As can be seen more particularly in FIG. 3, the end closed of the envelope 4 has a portion 7 of general shape hemispherical whose center connects to a member coaxially oriented having a keel 8 projecting from the inner side and a nipple 9 projecting from the external side, the periphery of the hemispherical portion 7 connecting to the rest of the casing 4, which has a tubular shape with a circular section which goes to the opposite end of the enclosure intended to be connected to the rest of the luminescent tube.

A conducting wire 10 comes out of the closed end of the casing 4 at through nipple 9 while inside this nipple this wire is connected electrically to a thinner wire 11 which goes to the keel 8 inside which it is in turn connected to a third electrical wire 12 which extends from wire 11 up to the electrode 6, to which the other end of the wire 12 is welded.

The connection means 5 comprise an insulating cap 13 and a connection terminal 14 comprising a metal screw 15, a nut 16 and a radial screw hereinafter called threaded pin (17).

The base 13, which is here ceramic, has a generally tubular shape with circular section. It is attached by gluing one of its ends to the closed end of the casing 4, with the nipple 9 which is housed in the base 13 and the end of the latter which rests on the hemispherical portion 7.

As will be explained in more detail later in support of Figures 9 and following, the screw 15 has a foot which is received in the base 13 and which receives the end of the conducting wire 10, and a threaded rod which receives the cable 3, the pin 17 serving to immobilize the conductive wire 10 with respect to the screw 15 and the latter with respect to the base 13, the nut 16 used to immobilize the cable 3 opposite screw 15.

To receive the cable 3, and more precisely an end portion thereof having a stripped end portion 18, a channel is formed in the threaded rod of the screw 15, this channel having a coaxial section 19 and a radial section 20.

In the example illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, the cable 3 has been introduced in this channel via the coaxial section 19 to beyond the stripped portion 18, the latter passing through the radial section 20 and surrounding the rod 15, the immobilization having then been carried out by tightening the nut 16.

The cap 2 comprises a central body 21, a skirt 22 arranged between the body 21 and the end of the cap which can be seen on the left on the Figures 1 to 3 and below on the other drawings as well as a collar 23 disposed between the body 21 and the end that can be seen at the top in the drawings.

The cap 2 is obtained by molding in a single piece of a flexible and elastic plastic material, here silicone.

On va maintenant décrire plus en détail le capuchon 2, à l'appui des figures 4 à 7.We will now describe in more detail the cap 2, in support of the Figures 4 to 7.

The central body 21 has a generally tubular shape. It has a section 24 with a constant circular section and a frustoconical section 25 connecting on the side of the large diameter to section 24 while on the side of the small diameter it is connected to the neck 23.

This narrows between its end where it connects to the body central 21 and its opposite end, which has an annular lip 26 bordering an opening 27.

As can be seen more particularly in FIG. 6, the lip 26 has two concentric annular portions, respectively a portion 28 thinned which directly borders the opening 27, and a thicker portion 29 which is located between the thinned portion 28 and the rest of the neck 23. The thinning which exists between the portions 29 and 28 is practiced on the internal side, the surfaces external portions 28 and 29 being flush with each other.

On the contrary, as seen more particularly in FIG. 7, the thinning of the wall which exists between the portion 24 of the central body 21 and the skirt 22, is practiced on the external side, the internal surfaces of skirt 22 and body 21 being flush with one another.

The skirt 22 has a generally frustoconical shape, which flares out the opposite of the central body 21, its end diameter being slightly more important than that by which it connects to the central body 21.

We will now explain how we make the connection between the terminal element 1 and the cable 3 as well as the fitting of the cap 2.

The connection between the end section of the cable 3 and terminal 5 as explained above.

We then slide the cap 2 along the cable 3 until bring the skirt 22 to be in contact with the hemispherical portion 7 of the envelope 4 of element 1.

On est alors dans la configuration montrée sur la figure 3.We are then in the configuration shown in FIG. 3.

It will be observed that the body 21 has a conformation which allows it to accommodate the connection means 5, that the flexibility and elasticity of the skirt 22 allow it to conform to the external surface of the hemispherical portion 7 at the like a suction cup, and so does the flexibility and elasticity of the lip 26 allow it to be tightened on cable 3.

It will be observed more precisely, with regard to the lip 26, that the latter is in contact with the external surface of the cable 3 by two annular portions, respectively the free end of the portion 28 and the edge of the portion 29 which is at plumb with the connection of the latter with the portion 28.

The material of which the cap 2 is made being waterproof and so the skirt 22 that the lip 26 presses in a sealed manner respectively on the terminal element 1 and on the cable 3, the cap 2 isolates its content from the outside, in a waterproof way, which makes it possible to protect this content from damage likely to be caused by moisture, which is a source of corrosion and electric arc.

On a employé pour le capuchon 102 les mêmes références numériques que pour le capuchon 2, mais augmentées du chiffre 100.Figure 8 shows the terminal element 1 and the electrical cable 3 connected to each other in a position where the cable 3 is arranged radially and not coaxially, the cap 2 being replaced by a cap 102 similar, but where the central body 21 is replaced by a central body 121. We used for the cap 102 the same reference numbers as for the cap 2, but increased by the number 100.

The central body 121 of the cap 102 has a portion 124 practically identical to the portion 24 of the body 21 of the cap 2, which is in particular tubular with cylindrical section. Generally speaking, the 125 portion is similar to portion 25, but it is angled instead of straight, its end which connects to the neck 123 being arranged transversely to its end which connects to section 124, while in portion 25 these two ends are oriented parallel to each other.

The skirt 122 and the collar 123 are identical to the skirt 22 and to the collar 23, respectively.

The connection operation between element 1 and cable 3 as well as the fitting of the cap 102 are similar to the operations required for make the junction in the configuration of figure 3, but the cable 3 is introduced into the channel of the threaded rod of the screw 15 through the radial section 20 of this and the end of the stripped portion 18 is housed in the coaxial section 19 of this channel.

On va maintenant décrire plus en détail la vis 15 de la borne de raccordement 14, à l'appui des figures 9 et 10.We will now describe in more detail the screw 15 of the terminal connection 14, using figures 9 and 10.

As indicated above, the screw 15 includes a threaded rod 30 intended to receive the cable 3 and immobilize it in cooperation with the nut 16, as well as a foot 31 intended to be received in the base 13 and to receive the wire conductor 10 and a portion of pin 17.

As explained above, the channel formed in the threaded rod 30 has a section 19 coaxial with the screw 15 and a radial section 20, the sections 19 and 20 connecting to each other.

The section 19 has, from the free end of the rod 30, a portion of cylindrical shape having a diameter large enough to receive a non-stripped part of the cable 3, as shown in Figure 3, the section 19 having, beyond this cylindrical part, a conical part into which opens the radial section 20, which is cylindrical and of diameter smaller than the cylindrical part of the coaxial section 19, only a part stripped 18 of the cable 3 having to pass through the radial section 20.

The latter opens, by its zone furthest from the free end of the rod 30, in a groove 32 formed in the rod 30, the groove 32 being provided to accommodate the piece of part 18 of cable 3 which comes out through the section radial 20 (configuration of FIG. 3) or enter it (configuration of the figure 8).

The section 20 is tangent, by the part of its lateral surface most remote from the free end of the rod 30, to a shoulder 33 which comprises the screw 15, the nut 16 being provided to tighten against the shoulder 33 the piece of part 18 housed in the groove 32, as shown in Figures 3 or 8.

The rod 30 has a threaded portion 34 which extends only over a certain length from the free end of this rod, the latter having between the shoulder 33 and the threaded part 34 a smooth external surface whose overall diameter is slightly less than the bottom diameter of the portion 34, for reasons of cooperation with the nut 16, explained below.

Le pied 31 de la vis 15 a une forme générale extérieure cylindrique de diamètre légèrement supérieur à la partie filetée 34 de la vis 15.The foot 31 of the screw 15 has a generally cylindrical outer shape of diameter slightly greater than the threaded part 34 of the screw 15.

Un trou taraudé 37, orienté radialement, est disposé juste en-dessous du tronçon radial 20, et s'étend entre le trou 36 et l'extérieur du pied 31.From the free end of the foot 31, that is to say from its end which is opposite the rod 30, a hollow 35 of frustoconical shape is managed which converges, from an opening with a diameter slightly smaller than that of the base 31, towards a blind hole oriented coaxially, of much smaller diameter. A tapped hole 37, oriented radially, is arranged just below the radial section 20, and extends between the hole 36 and the outside of the foot 31.

Le trou 36 sert à loger le bout du fil conducteur 10, le trou taraudé 37 à recevoir la goupille filetée 17, et le creux 35 sert à guider le bout du fil 10 vers le trou 36 et à recevoir l'extrémité du mamelon 9.The hole 36 serves to accommodate the end of the conductive wire 10, the tapped hole 37 to receive the threaded pin 17, and the hollow 35 is used to guide the end of the wire 10 towards the hole 36 and to receive the end of the nipple 9.

A small parallelepipedic notch 38 is formed under the orifice outlet from the tapped hole 37. It is designed to cooperate with a lug provided on the base 13, in order to position the screw 15 in the required angular position to be able to fit the pin 17.

The nut 16 has externally a longitudinal knurling 39 for facilitate its handling.

On the internal side, the nut 16 has a groove 40 of diameter slightly larger than the bottom diameter of the thread 41 which is found on either side of the groove 40, this thread extending over a very short length on the side which is below the groove 40 in the figure 11, and over a greater length of the side which is above.

La longueur sur laquelle s'étend la gorge 40 est légèrement supérieure à celle de la partie filetée 34 de la vis 15.The length over which the groove 40 extends is slightly greater than that of the threaded part 34 of the screw 15.

The nut 16 is put in place on the screw 30 by presenting it on this last with the side that we see at the bottom in figure 11 which meets the first the threaded portion 34, the small portion of the thread 41 is engaged we see under the groove 40 in engagement with the threaded portion 34, we continue the screwing the nut 16 until the threaded part 34 is in the groove 40, and the portion of the thread 41 which is seen is slightly engaged above the groove 40 with the threaded part 34.

Once the cable 3 is in place, all you have to do is continue the screwing the nut 16 to reach the immobilization position of the cable 3 shown in Figure 3 or Figure 8.

The groove 40 serves to avoid unintentionally releasing the nut 16 from the rod 30, and thus limits the risk of losing this nut: in fact, when the part of the thread 41 which can be seen above the groove 40 ceases to be engaged with the threaded part 34, to continue unscrewing the nut 16, engage the part of the thread 41 that can be seen under the groove 40, which requires precise positioning of the nut 16 with respect to the part 34, which has very unlikely to happen spontaneously, nut 16 turning rather crazy with the threaded part 34 which is housed in the groove 40.

It will be observed that at each end of the internal thread 41, it is made a chamfer 42, and that the one seen below in the drawings favors the cooperation of the nut 16 with the piece of the part 18 of the cable 3 which is pressed against the shoulder 33.

On va maintenant expliquer comment l'on procède à la mise en place des moyens de raccordement 5 sur le reste de l'élément terminal 1.We will now explain how we proceed with the implementation connection means 5 on the rest of the terminal element 1.

We start by sticking the base 13 on the closed end of the casing 4, then the foot 31 of the screw 15 is introduced into the base 13, the wire conductor 10 then being introduced into the hollow 35 then into the coaxial hole 36, and the screw 15 is maneuvered until the notch 38 has been placed on the lug corresponding provided on the base 13. The threaded pin 17 is then put in place in the tapped hole 37, through a corresponding smooth oriented hole radially provided in the base 13, and the pin 17 is screwed to immobilize the conductive wire 10 relative to the screw 15 and the latter opposite the base 13.

Pour toutes ces variantes, on a employé les mêmes références numériques, mais augmentées du chiffre 100.Figures 12 and 13 show a variant 115 of the screw 15, the Figures 14 and 15 a variant 116 of the nut 16 and Figure 16 a variant 101 of the terminal element 1, the connection terminal 114 of the element 101 comprising the screw 115 and the nut 116. For all these variants, the same numerical references, but increased by the number 100.

La tige 130 se distingue également de la tige 30 par le fait qu'un méplat 44 est pratiqué au débouché sur l'extérieur du tronçon radial 120.The threaded rod 130 of the screw 115 differs from the rod 30 of the screw 15 by the fact that the threaded portion 134 extends practically from the free end of the rod 130 to the groove 132, a small coaxial collar 43 of low thickness being provided between the end of the threaded portion 134 and the free end of the rod 130, the collar 43 having an external diameter slightly less than that of the bottom diameter of the threaded portion 134. The rod 130 is distinguished also of the rod 30 by the fact that a flat 44 is formed at the outlet on the exterior of the radial section 120.

As seen in Figure 16, the flange 43 is intended to be crushed once the nut 116 has been placed on the threaded portion 134, so avoid that this nut can be removed from the threaded part 134 and risk being lost.

Le méplat 44 sert à éviter l'existence d'arêtes acérées susceptibles de dégrader la partie 18 du câble 3 se trouvant au voisinage de la sortie du tronçon radial 120, arêtes acérées qui existeraient en l'absence du méplat 44.The flat 44 serves to avoid the existence of sharp edges likely to degrade the part 18 of the cable 3 located near the outlet of the section radial 120, sharp edges which would exist in the absence of the flat 44.

The foot 131 of the screw 115 is distinguished from the foot 31 of the screw 15 by the instead of having a single outer diameter, it has a 45 part large diameter and part 46 of small diameter, part 45 being between the shoulder 133 and the part 46, the latter being between the part 45 and the free end of the foot 131. The foot 131 is also distinguished from the foot 31 by the fact that the notch 38 is replaced by a flat 47 made in the portion 45 with the same centering as the section 120 and the tapped hole 137.

As seen in Figures 13 and 16, the shoulder 48 which exists because of the difference in diameter between the portions 45 and 46, bears on the end of base 113 which replaces base 13 in the end element of the tube luminescent 101, the existing hollow due to the flat 47 receiving a redent 49 of positioning provided on the end of the base 113 opposite to that by which it is attached to the glass envelope 104.

The nut 116 comprises a metal body 50 and a gasket 51 in plastic material.

The body 50 has internally a threaded portion 52 which ends on the side we see at the bottom with a chamfer 53 and on the side we see at the top by a frustoconical portion 54 which makes the junction between the part tapped 52 and a relatively thin annular portion 55.

Externally, the body 50 has, approximately at mid-height, a groove 56 with semi-circular profile and, under groove 56, gadroons 57 which give the body 50, at their level, as seen in FIG. 15, a profile corrugated external.

The lining 51 has a corresponding internal conformation generally to the external conformation of the body 50.

More specifically, from the end that we see below on the Figure 14, the lining 51 has a spout 58 which is housed in a chamfer external of the body 50, a series of gadroons 59 of a shape such as the hollow between two gadroons 59 receives a gadroon 57 from the body 50 while the hollow between two gadroons 57 receives a gadroon 59 of the lining 51 (see FIG. 15), a annular bead 60 with semicircular section engaged in the groove 56, and a annular return 61 with a U-shaped profile which borders the annular portion 55 of the body 50 on its three sides.

The lining 51 is snap-fitted on the body 50. It is there maintains thanks to the return 61 and the spout 58. It is guided in rotation with respect to the body 50 in particular by the cooperation of the portion 55 and the return 61, of the groove 56 and bead 60 as well as spout 58 with the chamfer corresponding, but the rotation is stopped by the cooperation of the gadroons 57 and 59, unless a torque is exerted on the lining 51 so that the lining can be deform so that there is a slip between the gadroons of the body and those of the garnish.

Thanks to this possibility of sliding of the lining 51 relative to to the body 50 when a significant torque is exerted, the nut 116 makes it possible to limit the tightening torque which it is possible to exert by means of this nut 116, this which has the advantage of preventing the portion from being over-tightened stripped 18 of cable 3 with the nut to the point of cutting this portion.

The variant 201 of the terminal element shown in FIG. 17 is similar to item 101, but screw 115 is replaced by screw 215 shown in Figures 18 and 19. We used for element 201 and for screw 215 the same reference numbers as for element 1 and screw 15, but plus the number 200.

In screw 215, the axial part of the channel for receiving a portion end of the cable 3 is formed by four sections 219A, 219B, 219C and 219D, axially oriented but offset and open laterally through the threaded portion 234 of the rod 230 of this screw, and the radial part of the channel reception is formed by two radial sections 220A and 220B leading to each end in a respective axial section.

More specifically, the radial section 220A opens respectively in the axial section 219A and in the axial section 219C while the section radial 220B opens respectively into the axial section 219B and into the axial section 219D.

The threaded portion 234 of the rod 230 extends from the free end of the rod 230 to groove 232, the threaded portion 234 being designed to cooperate with a nut such as nut 116, as shown in Figure 17.

The foot 231 of the nut 214 is similar to the foot 31, but has excavations 62A, 62B, 62C and 62D which respectively extend the sections 219A to 219D of the rod channel 230.

In variants not shown of the nuts 16 and 116, measures are taken to make these nuts self-locking to avoid their unscrewing, for example, for nut 16, replacing the threaded part 41 that can be seen under the throat 40, by a tapped part having an origin slightly different thread propeller, and for nut 116, providing to integrate into the threaded part 52 a plastic material.

It will be observed that the various measures described specifically for one of the connection terminals 14, 114 or 214, are likely to be implemented in the other terminals. In particular, it is possible to plan a flat at the outlet of the radial section 20 of the threaded rod 30 of the screw 15, modify the nut 16 so that it has torque limiting means of the same like the nut 116, or make the latter captive with respect to the rod 130 by the same kind of measurements as those taken in terminal 14.

Many other variants are possible depending on the circumstances, and it is recalled in this regard that the invention is not limited to examples described and shown.
