Abstract
Description
- The present invention refers to a cover for containers, as for example, for containers of food products, to a performable cover which is specially suitable for use with those types of containers the contents of which, are consumed during various successive phases, in such a way, that the partial extractions of its contents can be made without requiring the cover to be uncoupled from the container, keeping the locking conditions acceptable.
- To achieve this, and in a more specific manner, the proposed cover is structured by means of a body in the form of a dish, the perimetral skirt of which is provided with means for coupling to the mouth of the container, with the special particularity that on the base of the body a wide groove is defined, preferably in diametral arrangement, which is finished off at one of its ends with a window, framed at its sides by two slots in which respective lugs play, laterally associated and preferably of a single part character, to a sliding piece which constitutes a shutter for said window and which is capable of longitudinal displacement over the groove of the cover towards an opening position in which said window is opened in its majority, for the output towards the outside, of a dose of the product. That is to say, that in a limit situation for said sliding piece, the cover is kept closed, whilst in the opposite limit position, the window for the output of the product remains with a maximum aperture, capable of passing through any intermediate position, which allows the adjustment as wished, of the effective section of said output window.
- In order to complement the description which is being made, and with the object of helping to a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred practical embodiment example of the same, a set of drawings is enclosed forming integral part of said description, in which, with illustrative and non limitative character, the following has been represented:
- Figure 1 shows, according to a perspective view, a performable cover for containers embodied according to the object of the present invention, which appears in closed position.
- Figure 2 shows, also according to a perspective view, a breakdown of the assembly represented in the previous figure.
- Figure 3 shows a plan view of the assembly represented in figure 1, in opened position for the sliding piece or shutter.
- Figure 4 shows a cross sectional detail of the breakdown of figure 2, according to line A-B of said. figure
- Figure 5 finally shows the same section of the previous figure though with the two components of the cover advantageously assembled.
-
- In view of said figures, it can be observed how the performable cover which is proposed, is constituted parting from a body (1), which in a practical embodiment example represented in the figures adopts the configuration of a cylindrical dish, but which may adopt any other configuration, according to the specific requirements of the mouth of the container, without this affecting the essentiality of the invention, in any case the perimetral skirt (2) of the cover, being provided with means for the coupling to said mouth of the container.
- Parting from this basic structurization, which is known per se, the cover which is proposed, centres its characteristics in the existence on the base (3) of its body, of a transversal groove (4), preferably diametral, which is finished off at one of its ends, with a window (5) of suitable dimensions for the output to the exterior, of the product contained in the container, according to the arrow of figure 3, said window being located on the bottom of the groove (4), of scarce depth, and which is framed by two lateral slots (6), established on the side walls of the groove (4) on the zone opposite the window (5), respective lugs (7) playing in the centre of said grooves (6) which belong to the sides (8) which, of corresponding width to that of the groove (4), are intended to play in the centre of the latter, in order to constitute a shutter which closes the window (5), such as is shown in figure 1, or which opens it for the output to the exterior of the product contained in the container, as shown in figure 3.
- The trajectory of the sliding piece or shutter (8) is defined by the ends of the slot (6), on which the lugs (7) stop, and in order to help the handling operation of said sliding piece, the same is provided with a slight sinking (9), for seating a fingertip, preferably with a transversal gripping rib.(10).
- In accordance with this structurization and as has been previously said, when the cover assembly adopts the position shown in figure 1, it offers similar services to those of any conventional cover, capable of coupling to a container, and permits, without requiring uncoupling of the same, the divided extraction of the product housed in said container by means of the displacement of the shutter (8) in the centre of the base (3) of the actual cover, in order that said shutter covers or leaves free the window (5), for the output towards the outside of the product, which said cover is provided with.
Claims (3)
- Performable cover for containers, which, being of the type which is constituted by means of body in the form of a dish, its perimetral skirt being provided with coupling means to the mouth of the corresponding container, is characterized in that said body includes on its base or bottom, a wide transversal groove, preferably diametral, of scarce depth, which, on one of its ends is finished off with a window for the output of the product towards the outside, without the uncoupling of the cover as regards the body, said window being assisted by a sliding piece which, functioning as a shutter, plays in the centre of said groove.
- Performable cover for containers, according to claim 1, characterized in that said window for the output of the product, located at the bottom of the groove of the body, remains framed by side slots, located on the side walls of said groove and in which lugs play, which project at the sides of the sliding piece or shutter, in such a manner that said lugs constitute the union points of the sliding piece to the body of the cover, whilst the ends of said slots limit the trajectory of said sliding piece in the centre of the groove of the cover.
- Performable cover for containers, according to the previous claims, characterized in that the sliding piece or shutter includes a slight sinking on its external face, dimensionally suitable for the seating of the fingertip of a hand, preferably provided with a transversal rib for improving the grip during the longitudinal displacement operations of the same.
