Abstract
Le procédé consiste à effectuer un balayage optique résultant de rayons optiques (5) de type laser émis à intervalles réguliers à partir d'une source (2) située au-dessus des personnes (3) ou objets (4) à détecter, les émissions de rayons successives étant réalisées dans un plan de mesure (P) fixe ou mobile, formant un angle nul ou faible par rapport à une perpendiculaire au plan de référence (R) dans lequel se situent et/ou se déplacent les personnes ou objets. La détection est effectuée par détermination et comparaison, pour chaque émission, des décalages temporels observés entre l'émission des rayons optiques (5) par la source (2) et la réception des rayons réfléchis par le plan de "référence" (R) ou par les personnes ou objets. Ce procédé s'applique à la localisation et au comptage de personnes ou d'objets, fixes ou mobiles, ainsi qu'à la définition des caractéristiques de déplacements de personnes.
