Abstract
A quasi-optical harmonic filter for HF energy propagating under free space conditions consists of a filter plate made of a number of layers (1,2) made of substances, the dielectric constant and the thickness (d1, d2) of which are selected such that the filter for HF energy is also used the frequency of the fundamental wave has the highest possible transmission factor and for RF energy with the frequency of at least the first harmonic has a high reflection factor. The surface of the layers (1, 2; 21, 22) can be planar or form cutouts of the surfaces of spheres or ellipsoids or can be an integral part (4) of a dielectric lens (5). The filter can also be used in an antenna arrangement in connection with an absorber for the harmonic wave.
