Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for removing pre-cut pieces, in particular scrap, from a sheet of material comprising cuts or the like.
- It relates more particularly to a device for removing pre-cut pieces from a sheet of material, in which said sheet is placed on a separation surface of a matrix so that the pre-cut piece covers a breakthrough in the matrix and is pushed towards the bottom through this breakthrough under the pressure of at least one separation or punching member.
- Such devices are known and are described in particular in patent DE-A-4,124,098.
- the breakthrough is generally of dimension smaller than the precut piece so that, during a push exerted by the punching member on the precut piece, the precut piece deforms inside said pierced to be ejected from said breakthrough.
- the problem with such devices is that they generate a number of waste jams at inside the breakthrough. These jams require a stop of the ejection station to clear said breakthrough.
- the punching member cooperates with an elastic stop member arranged below the pre-cut piece and protruding at least partially into the opening.
- This abutment member which, in a rest position, is substantially set back or flush with the separation surface, is liable to be deformed by moving away from the separation surface during a pressure exerted by the punching member on the pre-cut piece to occupy an inclined position relative to the separation surface.
- An example of such a device is described in particular in patent EP-A-446,702. In this case, however, it can be seen that the scrap is eliminated by sliding of the elastic stop member. Sometimes the pre-cut piece remains attached to the punching member. In the case of this device, there is then no longer any possibility of detaching the scrap from the punching member.
- the present invention therefore aims to provide a device for eliminating precut pieces, in which the elastic stop member can be installed on the matrix in masked time, its positioning on the matrix being such that it does not increase the size of the matrix while remaining easily accessible so as to facilitate its assembly and disassembly.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for eliminating pre-cut pieces, the elastic stop member of which can be positioned in a precise and possibly adjustable manner.
- the subject of the invention is a device for eliminating precut pieces, in particular scrap, from a sheet of material comprising cuts or the like, said sheet being placed on a separation surface of a matrix so that that the precut piece covers a breakthrough in the die and is pushed down through this breakthrough under the pressure of at least one punching member, said punching member cooperating with at least one elastic stop member arranged below the piece pre-cut and projecting at least partially into said breakthrough, characterized in that the breakthrough of the matrix comprises at least one housing radiating in the direction of an axis passing through said breakthrough to open into this breakthrough, this housing being shaped to receive retention of the head of a blade constituting an elastic abutment member, this blade disappearing against a pre-cut piece when s a pushing movement exerted by the punching member passing through the breakthrough of the die, the free end of the blade opposing the return of the scrap after each separation operation.
- the head of the blade is shouldered to prevent any displacement of said elastic stop member in the direction of the axis passing through said breakthrough during a separation operation.
- Figures 1 to 3 show partial schematic sectional views of successive separation operations to remove a pre-cut piece of a sheet of material
- FIG. 4 represents a top view of a matrix according to the invention.
- Figure 5 shows a cross-sectional view of a stop member according to the invention.
- the device which is the subject of the invention makes it possible to eliminate precut pieces 11, in particular scrap, from a sheet of material 10 comprising cuts or the like. These precut pieces 11 can also be called scraps.
- the sheet of material 10 is for example constituted by a blank of pre-cut cardboard, each pre-cut corresponding to a piece which must subsequently be eliminated.
- This sheet of material 10 after having undergone a certain number of operations, is brought and placed on the separation surface 2 of a matrix 1 so that the pre-cut piece 11 covers a breakthrough 3 of the matrix 1.
- This breakthrough 3 generally has a profile which is homothetic to the profile of the precut made in the material sheet 10.
- the breakthrough 3 has a rectangular shape. It can therefore be assumed that the precut piece 11 will also have a rectangular shape.
- a punching member 12 is moved downward through this breakthrough 3 so as to exert pressure on the pre-cut piece 11 to allow its separation from the sheet of material 10.
- This punching member 12 can have a large number of shapes. In the examples shown in Figures 1 to 3, it is formed of a blade machined at its free end so as to define needles or points. The dimensions of the steel blade are variable depending on the geometry of the scrap and the quality of the material sheet.
- the base of this punching tool is generally conical in order to force the blade into the upper ejection board. A shoulder prevents this blade from crossing the board during excessive pressure.
- the tips, which are formed at the end of the blade are generally convex in shape. The number of spikes is variable. Likewise, their layout online or staggered can be changed. There are also punching members affecting the shape of needles distributed uniformly on the surface of the pre-cut piece 11.
- the breakthrough 3 of the matrix 1 comprises at least one housing 4 radiating in the direction of the transverse axis of the said breakthrough 3 to open into this breakthrough 3.
- This housing 4 is shaped to receive the head 7A of a blade with retention 7B constituting the elastic stop member.
- the blade 7B is erased against a precut piece 11 during a pushing movement exerted by the punching member 12 passing through the breakthrough 3 of the die 1, as shown in Figure 2.
- the end free of the blade 7B opposes the return of the waste 11 after each separation operation, as shown in FIG. 3.
- each housing 4 of the breakthrough 3 is shouldered to delimit, between its shoulder 5 and its mouth 6 in said breakthrough 3, a first cavity 4A serving for the reception of the blade 7B constituting the elastic stop member, this housing providing beyond said shoulder 5 a second cavity 4B receiving interlocking the head 7A of said blade held fixed inside said cavity 4B.
- This embodiment of the housing 4 is notably represented in FIG. 4.
- the first cavity 4A is of section greater than the section of the blade 7B.
- the blade 7B can freely move inside the cavity 4A.
- the head of the blade can be embedded inside the second cavity 4B.
- This head 7A can have a large number of shapes.
- An exemplary embodiment of this head is provided in FIG. 5.
- the head 7A of the blade is hollow to allow, during its introduction into the second cavity 4B, its deformation so as to facilitate its forced introduction into said second cavity 4B. This deformation is obtained thanks to the deformation chamber 8 thus formed.
- This head 7A of the blade can also have a substantially truncated-pyramidal bowl shape so as to obtain an assembly of the conical fitting type between the blade head 7A and the second cavity 4B of the housing of the opening 3 of the matrix 1.
- the blade head 7A and the blade 7B came from molding and formed in one piece.
- the housing 4 of the breakthrough 3 is generally a through housing insofar as this housing is produced by laser cutting of the matrix 1. It is therefore possible to introduce the elastic stop member on one side or on the other side of the housing 4 when this stop member elastic, in particular the head of said member, is embedded inside said housing. This thus makes it possible to obtain a device whose distance between the separation surface 2 of the matrix 1 and the bearing surface of the blade 7B on the pre-cut piece 11 can vary easily and very precisely.
