Description

The invention relates to a brush according to the preamble of the claim 1.

Such a brush is known from DE 17 35 149 U1. she is used for cleaning dentures, but can also be used for Cleaning removable orthodontic appliances, such as for example, stretch plates or braces become. The brush body carrying the bristles has one oval handle. This shape of the handle allows firstly, a compact length of the brush and thereby easy access to all areas of a denture, and secondly, easy handling of the brush for users with limited fine motor skills.

Other, basically toothbrush-like brushes should also serve to clean dentures. With you joins the bristle field in the longitudinal direction of the brush the handle. These brushes are from DE 30 49 563 A1, known from DE 86 13 460 U1 or from US Pat. No. 2,190,277 and have the disadvantage that accessibility to certain Areas of a denture due to the length of the Brushing is difficult or not possible at all, so accordingly cleaning the prosthesis in these poorly accessible Areas either cannot be done or due to the associated effort for the user is insufficient is carried out.

The invention has for its object a generic Improve brush to make it a simple one Handling for the user enables as well as good accessibility to all areas of a denture.

This object of the invention is achieved by a Brush with the features of claim 1 solved.

In other words, the invention proposes in addition to the bristle field known per se, which on the brush body similar to how it is attached to a nail brush, one Arrange bristle comb, the bristles of this bristle comb do not stand across the bristles of the bristle field, as is known from the generic brush, but the bristles of the bristle comb run radially on the curved one End area of the brush body, so basically in same orientation as the bristles of the bristle field, however following the curved course of the brush body. This has two advantages: First, for the user handling is easier because the pressure on the bristle tips in a similar orientation as for the Exerting pressure on the bristle tips of the bristle field, and not in a transverse direction of movement. On the other hand, there is an improved accessibility to the different areas of a denture because the brush can be built very narrow. Their width can be, for example determined by the width chosen for the brush body and not by protruding laterally beyond the brush body Bristles. This way the brush is on too easy to apply in narrow places.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind den Unteransprüchen entnehmbar:Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subclaims removed:

For example, the bristle comb can advantageously be kept very narrow, so that for example interdental spaces or basal areas are easily accessible. This narrow configuration can in particular be supported in that the bristles of the Bristle comb are cut in a V-shaped step, rather can the bristles from a wide base where they are attached to the brush body, run obliquely, so that for example two rows of bristles with their free ends meet in a common line or in two nearby ones Lines and in this way a narrow bristle comb form.

The bristle comb can advantageously be seamlessly attached to the bristle field 6 connect so that the overall length of the brush is used optimally is: A brush as short as possible is facilitated the accessibility to all areas is very different designed dentures and on the other hand enables filling the brush with the largest possible Number of bristles a particularly intensive cleaning.

The bristles of the bristle comb can advantageously be larger Have length than the bristles of the bristle field. hereby there will also be good accessibility between spaces or deep-lying interiors, for example a bed load or a web rider. Especially if the Bristle comb has bristles of different lengths, the Allows bristles of different hardness to form on the bristle comb, so that depending on the application, the different Hardening of these bristles of different lengths is used specifically can be.

An additional bristle head can advantageously be provided, some round, but also square, can have hexagonal or similar cross section and is designed overall pin-like or cone-shaped, one pin-shaped bristle head one compared to its bristle length has a smaller cross section than a cone-shaped one Bristle head. This bristle head can be punctiform or linear Have longer bristles arranged inside in its cross section and in contrast shorter outer bristles, so that the Accessibility of uneven surfaces, for example with the through the palatal area of the upper jaw of a denture this bristle head is lightened. Especially if this The bristle head is detached from the other bristles is accessibility to many places is possible would otherwise be hampered by bristles affecting the bristle head could be arranged immediately adjacent.

An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. It shows
Fig. 1

Fig. 2
the top view of the brush of Fig. 1 and
Fig. 3
the bottom view of the brush of Fig. 1st

In Fig. 1, 1 generally denotes a brush for cleaning of dentures. The brush 1 has an oval curved brush body 2, the two more curved End regions 3 and a non-curved, straight extending middle region 4 between the two end regions Third

The brush body 2 is not designed as a closed ring, but points towards the continuous middle area 4 an interrupted middle area, which the two Halves of a handle 5 forms.

At the continuous middle area 4 is a variety of Cleaning bristles arranged together a bristle field 6 form, which for example for cleaning occlusal surfaces, Tooth side surfaces and similar surfaces use Can be found. The bristles of the bristle field 6 can be different Have lengths and for example on one Be about 12 mm long at the end of the bristle field, on the other End of the bristle field, however, 16 to 17 mm. With the same design the bristles become different up to their length Hardness of the bristle field at its different Locations achieved so that these are deliberately different Hardness can be used for the respective cleaning task.

At the longest bristles of the bristle field 6 close Cleaning bristles of a bristle comb 7, which also Cleaning bristles of the bristle comb 7 one from one other end of the bristle comb 7 have increasing length: Since the bristle comb 7 is directly connected to the bristle field 6 connects, it expediently points in this connection area Bristles of the same length. From that first End takes the length of the cleaning bristles of the bristle comb 7 to the opposite end of the bristle comb 7 continuously so that the bristles there, for example can have a length of 25 mm. Because the bristle comb 7 arranged on the curved end region 3 of the brush body 2 the cleaning brushes of the bristle comb 7 a fan-like bristle comb 7, with which even in difficult accessible interdental spaces or other difficult to access areas Prosthesis areas or areas that are difficult to access orthodontic devices can be cleaned.

On the opposite end area 3 is a bristle head 8 provided of an approximately round or octagonal cross section and in which the outer bristles about 15 mm are long, but the middle bristles are about 17 mm, so that the Cleaning of slightly textured surfaces, such as the palatal area of a denture very well with Help this bristle head 8 on simple and effective Way is possible. The bristle head 8 is removed from the bristle field 6 arranged, so arranged free-standing, to a good To provide accessibility where the arrangement neighboring bristles could otherwise interfere.

The different lengths of the bristles of the bristle head 8, but also the bristles of the bristle field 6, which is a corrugated or zigzag surface with alternating different Has heights, cause a cleaning different contact pressure of the individual bristles and thus a very intensive cleaning effect and good accessibility to smaller bumps or indentations in the surface to be cleaned.

The bristles of the bristle comb 7 are on the brush body 2 in two rows with a comparatively large distance between them attached, the free ends of these bristles, such as in particular 2 can be seen closely arranged are. This results in a support effect individual bristles and therefore despite being comparatively large Bristle length a comparatively high rigidity of the bristle comb, so that deep gaps are well cleaned can be.

Overall, the brush has comparatively large areas of bristles on that an intensive, thorough and quick cleaning enable the denture.
