Description

La présente invention concerne un système pour le contrôle de l'affichage d'une information, garantissant que les informations visibles sur un écran d'affichage sont bien celles correspondantes aux données transmises à l'écran par le système de commande d'affichage.
L'invention s'applique en particulier aux écrans d'affichage d'un véhicule ferroviaire où des informations telles que la vitesse de consigne, la vitesse réelle du train etc... sont affichées au mécanicien. Il est indispensable que l'écran soit d'une fiabilité absolue et que les informations visibles sur l'écran ne soient pas bloquées (informations persistantes alors que les consignes d'affichages auraient évoluées par exemple) ou erronées.
Le document BE 902 443 décrit un procédé pour vérifier la présence de données ou l'exactitude de données variables d'un dispositif d'affichage par rapport aux commandes d'affichage et pour le mettre hors service lorsqu'il y a discordance entre les données et ces commandes d'affichage.
Dans ce document, les dispositifs d'affichage comportent, soit des palettes mobiles basculantes portant les données à afficher, soit un disque entraíné pas à pas en rotation, derrière un panneau présentant une fenêtre laissant apparaítre les caractères situés sur le disque, soit encore des ensembles de fibres optiques, chaque ensemble constituant un segment de caractère d'affichage, une extrémité de l'ensemble constituant un segment de caractère lorsque l'autre extrémité est illuminée par une source lumineuse.
Les deux premiers systèmes sont des systèmes à pré-affichage à déplacement mécanique, donc encombrants avec risque de blocage et limitant les informations aux données pré-affichées. Le système à segments optiques est également un système d'affichage de données prédéterminées.
L'invention selon la revendication 1, a ainsi pour objet un système d'affichage de données sur un écran comportant des moyens pour envoyer une information vers l'écran, des moyens de lecture de l'information affichée, des moyens de comparaison entre l'information affichée et l'information provenant desdits moyens d'envoi d'information à l'écran, des moyens pour arrêter l'affichage en cas de discordance dans la comparaison, caractérisé en ce que l'écran ne comprend que la partie active d'un écran plat à surface active de type transparent commandé électroniquement, lesdits moyens de lecture de l'information affichée comportant un capteur optique situé à l'arrière dudit écran par rapport à la face avant destinée à être observée par un utilisateur.
Selon une réalisation particulière, ledit capteur optique est un capteur linéaire à transfert de charge relié à ladite face arrière dudit écran par un réseau de fibres optiques.
On va maintenant donner la description d'un exemple particulier de mise en oeuvre de l'invention en se référant au dessin annexé dans lequel :
  • la figure 1 est un schéma bloc d'un système pour le contrôle de l'affichage d'une information sur un écran selon l'invention,
  • la figure 2 est un schéma bloc d'une application particulière de l'invention.
L'exemple pris pour la description de l'invention s'applique à un écran de cabine d'un véhicule ferroviaire et l'information affichée, donnée comme exemple, est la vitesse effective du train. Il pourrait s'agir de la vitesse de consigne ou d'une autre information de signalisation et le système peut s'appliquer à plusieurs informations affichées ou à l'ensemble de celles-ci. L'exemple décrit, appliqué à une seule information n'est donc nullement limitatif et permet de simplifier la description.
En se référant à la figure 1, le système comprend une centrale tachymétrique 1 reliée à une pluralité de capteurs de vitesse. L'ensemble de ces capteurs est figuré par un seul bloc 2.
Plusieurs capteurs sont utilisés par mesure de sécurité. La centrale tachymétrique 1 qui choisit, parmi les informations de vitesses en provenance des capteurs 2, l'indication la plus élevée, délivre cette information de vitesse du train par deux canaux autonomes 3 et 4.
Le premier canal 3 est dirigé vers une entrée vidéo 5 d'un écran de cabine 6 par l'intermédiaire d'une unité de traitement principale 7 qui transmet par réseau informatique 8 l'information vitesse à une unité centrale d'écran 9. L'unité centrale 9 est reliée à l'entrée vidéo 5 et pilote l'affichage de l'information par l'écran 6.
Le deuxième canal 4 est dirigé vers une unité de relecture et de contrôle d'écran 10 qui compare l'information de vitesse provenant de la centrale tachymétrique 1 par le canal 4, avec l'information de vitesse délivrée par un capteur optique 11 qui observe l'écran 6 par dessous celui-ci, par transparence. La surface normale d'observation de l'écran étant située de l'autre côté comme le figure un oeil 12 du mécanicien.
On utilise pour cela la partie active d'un écran plat transparent à surface active, par exemple un écran à micro-pointes de la société Pixtech dont une description est donnée dans le brevet français 2 732 159, ou un écran électroluminescent de la société Planar.
Ce type d'écran permet d'afficher des données variables de type alpha numérique et de type graphique. Ces écrans à surface active génèrent leur propre éclairage et sont donc peu sensibles aux variations d'éclairage du milieu extérieur. Il suffit de modifier le capotage arrière des écrans de ce type disponibles sur le marché, afin d'insérer le dispositif de relecture.
L'écran 6 comporte une alimentation 13 dont l'unité de relecture et de contrôle d'écran 10 commande la validation par le moyen d'un relais commandé à l'ouverture en cas de discordance entre l'information de vitesse en provenance du capteur optique 11 et l'information de vitesse en provenance du second canal 4 de la centrale tachymétrique 1.
Ainsi, grâce à l'invention, on effectue un contrôle entre l'information d'affichage envoyée et l'information réellement affichée. La relecture de l'écran par l'arrière, en utilisant un écran à surface active du type transparent permet de libérer complètement la face avant, réservée à l'observation du mécanicien et de s'affranchir par exemple d'un système optique à prisme ou à miroir encombrant l'espace avant et absorbant une partie de la lumière.
La figure 2 est un schéma particulier d'application ne reprenant que les parties directement impliquées dans le système de relecture, de comparaison et de commande d'alimentation de l'écran.
L'écran 6 est composé uniquement de la partie active 14 d'un écran de type transparent comme dit ci-dessus, électroluminescent ou à micro-pointes, pris en sandwich entre deux plaques de verre 15 et 16.
L'information affichée l'est, sur l'écran, sous la forme d'un bargraphe ou sous forme d'aiguille. Un réseau de fibres optiques 17 relie le rectangle d'affichage du bargraphe (ou le cercle d'affichage de l'aiguille) au capteur optique 11 selon un format mécaniquement compatible avec le capteur, ici un capteur linéaire à transfert de charge à fenêtre rectangulaire. Le capteur 11 intègre la lumière reçue sous forme de charge et l'exploitation de la sortie série du capteur se fait par un simple détecteur de créneau 18 qui traduit la position du bargraphe ou de l'aiguille.
La sortie 19 du détecteur 18 est envoyée vers un comparateur 20 qui reçoit sur son autre entrée l'information vitesse en provenance du canal 4 et, en cas de discordance dans la comparaison, la sortie 21 du comparateur commande l'ouverture d'un relais 22 coupant l'alimentation 13 de l'écran, de sa liaison d'entrée 23.
Par ailleurs, l'alimentation 13, outre l'écran 6 alimente un circuit 24 d'adaptation de signal vidéo auquel est reliée l'entrée vidéo 25 en provenance du canal 3 de la figure 1.
A la place de fibres optiques, on pourrait utiliser une caméra (capteur CCD matriciel) munie d'une carte d'analyse graphique qui effectue la reconnaissance de l'image. Un logiciel de comparaison en cas de discordance par rapport à l'information du canal 3, provoque l'arrêt de l'écran par coupure de l'alimentation.

Claims (3)

  1. Système d'affichage de données sur un écran (6) comportant des moyens (1, 9) pour envoyer une information vers l'écran, des moyens de lecture (11) de l'information affichée, des moyens de comparaison (10, 20) entre l'information affichée et l'information provenant desdits moyens d'envoi d'information à l'écran, des moyens (10, 22) pour arrêter l'affichage en cas de discordance dans la comparaison, caractérisé en ce que l'écran (6) ne comprend que la partie active (14) d'un écran plat à surface active de type transparent commandé électroniquement, lesdits moyens de lecture de l'information affichée comportant un capteur optique (11) situé à l'arrière dudit écran (6) par rapport à la face avant destinée à être observée par un utilisateur (12).
  2. Dispositif selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que ledit capteur optique (11) est un capteur linéaire à transfert de charge relié à ladite face arrière dudit écran (6) par un réseau de fibres optiques (17).
  3. Dispositif selon l'une des revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens (1) pour envoyer une information vers l'écran délivrent l'information par deux canaux autonomes (3, 4) dont l'un (3) est dirigé vers une entrée vidéo (5) de l'écran, et l'autre (4) vers lesdits moyens de comparaison (10, 20).
