Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for contacting a multipole female connector for plug connections with connecting wires.
In the known female connectors, the connecting wire feeder is used during assembly and contacting the connecting wires with double-row side-by-side female connectors from the side using special contacting tools carried out. Then the individual assembled female connector elements separated from each other and into a multi-row Female connector assembled (-napped, -pressed, etc.). This is cumbersome and also leads to tensile stress the connecting wires. Therefore, using a separate Crimping tool crimp arrangements to relieve the Insulation clips are provided.
From US-A-5368505 e.g. B. a multipole female connector known, which consists of several plastic plates arranged in parallel is modular. Each plastic plate takes a series of contacts integral with it molded-on insulation displacement clamps, but before assembling the insulation displacement clamps of the individual plastic washers each plastic plate using a special tool be connected to the connecting wires assigned to them.
The object of the present invention is to provide a method for Contacting a multi-pin female connector for plug connections with connecting wires to indicate which is easier is feasible and not as expensive as the known one Procedure is.
Länge geschnittene Anschlußdrähte in Steckrichtung eingeschoben
werden, und
daß die Kunststoffplatten mittels des Preßwerkzeugs zusammengedrückt
werden. This object is achieved according to the invention for a method of the type mentioned above in that the female connector is composed of a plurality of inner and a pair of outer plastic plates, the inner plastic plates being designed such that one of their sides for receiving insulation displacement contacts and contact springs integrally connected to them is formed, while the other side has correspondingly molded molded pressure pieces, which are used to press the connecting wires into the insulation displacement terminals, and the outer plastic plates have either similar pressure pieces and press pins or receptacles on one of their sides,
that from two opposite sides one side has receptacles for press pins attached to the other side,
that the plastic plates preassembled with the insulation displacement contacts and contact springs are kept at a distance within a pressing tool by means of the press pins which are designed in a press fit,
that in this pre-assembled plastic plates at length cut wires are inserted in the direction of insertion, and
that the plastic plates are pressed together by means of the pressing tool.
The process according to the invention has the advantage that it is easy to carry out because the use of special contacting tools and special crimping tools.
Embodiments of the plastic plates according to the invention result from the subclaims and from the following description of one shown in the drawing Female connector, in which the method according to the invention is applied.
