Abstract

La présente invention concerne des articles absorbants comportant des flancs munis de bourrelets d'arrêt infléchis qui favorisent une meilleure contention et une meilleure adaptation. Les articles absorbants sont constitués d'une nappe (38) superficielle perméable au liquide, d'un fond (42) imperméable au liquide et d'une nappe absorbante (44) centrale prise en sandwich entre la nappe superficielle et le fond. L'article est muni d'un flanc (62) faisant la jonction latérale entre chacun des bords longitudinaux (30) de l'article absorbant caractérisé par ses bordures proximales (64) et distales (66). En outre, l'article comporte des éléments (76) écartant la bordure distale de la surface recevant le liquide (nappe superficielle) de l'article absorbant. Enfin, l'article absorbant comporte un élément de fermeture (78) maintenant les bordures distales en position, tournées vers l'intérieur par rapport aux bordures proximales au niveau de la moitié avant de la ceinture (2). Par ailleurs, la bordure distale du flanc est maintenue en position, tournée vers l'intérieur par rapport à la bordure proximale au niveau de la moitié arrière de la ceinture (24) lorsqu'elle est adaptée sur le porteur. Les flancs sont donc infléchis de façon que la partie arrière des flancs située au niveau de la ceinture assure une fonction d'étanchéité autour des fesses du porteur, ce qui permet de contenir les liquides physiologiques. En outre, un ajustage à frottement doux, offre des voies d'écoulement pour retenir et contenir les liquides physiologiques, grâce aux parties redressées des flancs dans la zone d'accrochage et grâce à la partie fermée du flanc au niveau de la moitié avant de la ceinture.
