Abstract

An off-set paraboloidal reflector for a space-craft such as a communications satellite is made collapsible by mounting the reflective surface (9) on a number of ribs (8) which extend along generators of the parent paraboloid and which are hinged eg. to a support rail (10), to enable the reflector (2) to be hinged into a small space adjacent to the space-craft, yet providing a large area when deployed.
