Abstract

A radiator (1) of the thermosiphon type has a plurality of mutually isolated compartments (5) connected in a planar array. The vaporising fluid (7) in each compartment is heated by a fluid, another suitable heat source, which flows or is dispersed externally of each compartment. The isolation of the compartments and external location of the heat source increase the overall efficiency of the radiator.
