Claims (7)

  1. An apparatus for dispensing metered quantities of ice pieces (36), comprising
    a thermally insulated housing (10),
    a storage container (11) for the unmetered ice pieces (36),
    a screw conveyor (12),
    the lower end (13) of which is situated in the storage container (11), and
    the upper end (14) of which has an outlet opening (15) for the ice pieces (36),
    a channel-like chute (17) below the outlet opening (15),
    an electromagnetically actuated flap (18) in the chute (17), and
    a dispensing aperture (19) for the metered ice pieces (36),
    characterised by the features:
    the chute (17) opens into a weighing device (20), comprising
    a weigh cell (21),
    a balance pan (23) having a bottom flap (24) which can be opened
    and suspension means (22) which connect the balance pan (23) to the weigh cell (21),
    the flap (18)
    is disposed at the end of the chute (17),
    is curved concavely-cylindrically,
    has a horizontal axis
    and a rapid drive.
  2. An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterised by the feature:
    the housing (35) for the screw conveyor (12) is thermally insulated.
  3. An apparatus according to Claim 1 or 2,
    characterised by the feature:
    the diameter of the housing (35) for the screw conveyor (12) is widened at the level of the outlet opening (15).
  4. An apparatus according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised by the feature:
    a breaking cone (16) is disposed at the upper end (14) of the screw conveyor (12).
  5. An apparatus according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised by the feature:
    the drive motor (34) for the screw conveyor (12) is mounted at the upper end (14) thereof.
  6. An apparatus according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised by the feature:
    a weight input means (31) is provided.
  7. An apparatus according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised by the feature:
    the dispensing aperture (19) is associated with a bag-making and sealing device.
