Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a
Fluorescent layer of a cathode ray tube according to the preamble
of
In the production of cathode ray tubes for monitors, screens and the like are used to manufacture their phosphor layer i.a. uses three methods: the rub-in method, the spin coating process and electrophoresis.
In the rub-in process, the substances in the phosphor layer, hereinafter called phosphors, using a rubbing machine applied by a sponge. Indeed such applied phosphor layers have a proportionate low homogeneity. Furthermore, the excess Material wasted and must be recycled or expensive to be disposed of.
In the spin coating process, the phosphor layer is made from one Mixture of a paint paste based on e.g. of ethyl cellulose and the phosphors. The fluorescent paint mix is on the back of the picture page, that of a later one Side facing viewer, plotted. To distribute this The cathode ray tube becomes orthogonal around an axis rotated to the image side. After the paint mixture has dried the paint mixture is heated to over 200, especially up to 400 ° C heated, which decomposes the binder and the phosphors remain on the back surface of the image side. However, the distribution of the phosphors is inhomogeneous, which means especially the one measured parallel to the surface of the image side Layer thickness of the phosphor layer differs greatly. By this different layer thickness makes this method unsuitable for coating large areas.
In electrophoresis, the back of the screen is marked with a Electrically conductive electrode layer mostly made of metal such as aluminum or ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coated. The phosphors are suspended in a solvent. Furthermore, the Solution an electrolyte or a mixture of different electrolytes added that dissolve in the solution and / or in it suspend. The electrolyte becomes the solution or the suspension charged. For the separation of the phosphors and thus the solution is contacted to form the phosphor layer brought to the electrode layer, the electrode layer as an electrode used, fed a counter electrode and the two Electrodes placed on a different electrical potential, whereby the phosphors form with the formation of the phosphor layer deposit electrophoretically on the electrode layer. The layer thickness of the phosphor layer can be through the parameters electrical (separation) voltage, temperature, Deposition time and the materials used will. If necessary, there are also the phosphors to fix by heating on the back of the picture. After the application of the phosphor layer and possibly the fixing the electrode layer, in particular removed by chemical etching will. However, this process has a high reject rate on.
The object of the invention is to develop a method with which a fluorescent layer in an inexpensive manner with high Reliability, uniform layer thickness and low Committee is applicable.
The object is achieved with a method with the
