Abstract

Mit dem Verfahren werden akustische Signale bspw. in Hörgeräten auf eine solche Weise lautheitsgesteuert verarbeitet, dass die vom Hörbehinderten subjektiv empfundene Lautheit wieder stets der von Normalhörenden empfundenen Lautheit entspricht. Die Signalverarbeitung erfolgt ohne Fouriertransformation und ohne Aufteilung des Signals in Teilbandsignale auf iterative Weise vollständig im Zeitbereich. Damit wird der Nachteil inakzeptabel langer Signalverzögerungszeiten bekannter Verfahren eliminiert und eine praktische Nutzung überhaupt erst ermöglicht. Die Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens enthält eine Verarbeitungsstufe (4) zur iterativen Berechnung einer für die Lautheit charakteristischen Steuergrösse (ψ) und eine damit zeitabhängig gesteuerte Korrekturfilterstufe (7). Das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren erfordert gegenüber bekannten Verfahren nur drastisch reduzierte Verarbeitungsressourcen, was hauptsächlich auf die besonders effiziente und unkonventionelle Ausführung der Verarbeitungsstufen zurückzuführen ist.
